Seems Pretty Strong

Izuku was filled with apprehension. He had no grasp of One For All whatsoever—he did not even have the slightest idea where to begin. If he used it recklessly, he would definitely ruin his arm again.

Nor could he fully trust Chiffon when he said no one would be expelled. After all, Chiffon was not a teacher, and Teacher Aizawa did not look like a kind man. What if he really got expelled? Wouldn't everything he had done until now have been for nothing?

Izuku was not the only one feeling uneasy. The other students felt the same way. They had worked so hard to get into U.A. High School; they did not want to be sent home on their very first day of school. That would be far too humiliating.

Chiffon did not give it much thought. He had fairly good control over the Quirk Thunder God's Arrival. After all, its growth was still within the range he could control. Ochaco Uraraka even lost her composure a little and began arguing with Shota Aizawa. It was only their first day of school, and he was going to expel the last-place student? Was that really appropriate?

Shota Aizawa crooked a finger at them. "Give it everything you have and overcome the obstacles before you."

"Those are rather heavy words for an initiation, but this place truly is the pinnacle. I have no choice but to give it my all." After taking a sip from his cup, Tenya Iida's gaze turned resolute.

"Bring it on." Bakugo Katsuki swung his arm and said excitedly.

Everyone pulled themselves together. If they wanted to become real heroes, they had to overcome every unknown hardship.

"Alright, that concludes the demonstration. Now, the official test begins." Seeing that everyone seemed to have gained some confidence, Shota Aizawa grew somewhat listless.

First event: 50-meter dash.

First group: Tenya Iida and Tsuyu Asui. Tenya Iida: 3.04 seconds. Tsuyu Asui: 5.58 seconds.

Second group: Ochaco Uraraka and Koji Koda. Ochaco Uraraka: 7.15 seconds. Koji Koda: 5.49 seconds.

Third group: Aoyama Yuga and Mina Ashido. Aoyama Yuga: 5.51 seconds. Mina Ashido: 5 seconds.

Fourth group: Midoriya Izuku and Bakugo Katsuki. Bakugo Katsuki: 4.13 seconds. Midoriya Izuku: 7.02 seconds.

When it was Chiffon's turn, everyone began paying attention. This guy was the Dark Horse. Bakugo Katsuki's gaze also fell on Chiffon. He wanted to know just how strong this seemingly arrogant guy really was.

Chiffon took a breath on the track. He would apply Thunder God's Arrival to his feet, giving himself the speed of Lightning.

"Start!"

At the command, blue electric currents burst from Chiffon's feet, and he shot forward. Not only did he have his Quirk enhancing him, he also had the strength of Qi Cultivation Layer One. Fifty meters was far too easy for him.

"3.09 seconds." He was only 0.6 seconds slower than Tenya Iida.

Chiffon had not shown his full strength. If he went all out, he would be another second faster than Tenya Iida, with a time of at least around 2.05 seconds.

But that would draw too much attention. Wasn't Bakugo Katsuki already staring at him with open hostility?

Izuku looked at Chiffon with great envy. He felt that this classmate excelled at everything. In the past, Kacchan had been the person he admired most, but now it seemed this boy named Chiffon was even more impressive than Kacchan.

"Tch, Deku, what are you staring at?" Bakugo Katsuki snapped. Naturally, he had seen Izuku's admiration for Chiffon.

Tsuyu-chan walked up to Chiffon and said with a cheerful smile, "Chiffon-chan, you're really amazing."

"Tsuyu-chan is very strong too," Chiffon said with a smile.

At that moment, Momo Yaoyorozu, the goddess in Chiffon's eyes, walked over. She stared at him for several seconds—long enough to give Chiffon goosebumps—before finally asking, "What is your Quirk?"

"A Lightning Attribute Quirk," Chiffon said, pretending to remain calm. He could not reveal Thunder God's Arrival. The words "Thunder God" were already eye-catching enough; he could not expose it even to his classmates.

"A Thunder Quirk," Yao-yorozu said with a look of sudden realization. "Seems pretty strong."

In her eyes, Quirks like Bakugo Katsuki's and Shoto Todoroki's were already very powerful. But now she felt Chiffon's Quirk was the most destructive of all—it was fast and powerful.

Chiffon smiled a little shyly. Then Tsuyu-chan, standing nearby, suddenly looked at Momo Yaoyorozu and said, "Yao-yorozu-chan, you should watch your chest."

Izuku stood inside the circle, staring blankly at the softball. Everyone else had an event they excelled at and had earned high scores in it, while all of his results seemed ordinary. At this rate, he would definitely come in last.

So he had to produce a good result in something he was good at, and the softball throw was his only chance. But he had not yet mastered One For All, so he did not know where to direct its power.

Chiffon folded his arms and watched Izuku. Just then, Izuku looked over at him. Chiffon had wanted to remind him to control the power through a finger. At this point, that was Izuku's only option, but now was not the right time to give him a hint.

"If Midoriya keeps this up, things will not end well for him," Tenya Iida said worriedly.

Bakugo immediately laughed, pointing at Izuku as he loudly said to Tenya Iida, "Isn't that obvious? He's just Quirkless trash."

"Quirkless!?" Tenya Iida lowered his folded arms, looking rather shocked.

"Did you not know about his feat during the entrance exam?" Tenya Iida asked suspiciously. By then, Izuku had already prepared to throw.
