Todoroki Always Has Insight

"Good work on yesterday's combat training."

Shota Aizawa spoke lazily from the podium. "I've already reviewed the VTR footage and the results. Bakugo, you have the ability. Don't act like a child again in the future."

"I know." Bakugo Katsuki curled his lip.

"Next, Midoriya." Shota Aizawa sighed. "Did you end up wrecking another arm this time?"

Midoriya had injured his arm while fighting Fumikage Tokoyami. Fumikage Tokoyami's Quirk grew several times stronger in darkness and could even lose control. The building had been rather dim, greatly enhancing Fumikage Tokoyami's Quirk, so Midoriya had no choice but to use One For All.

"When it comes to controlling your Quirk, don't keep using 'I can't do it, so there's nothing I can do' as an excuse. That won't get past me. I don't like repeating myself. If you can overcome that, you'll be able to do a lot of things." Shota Aizawa spoke in a lecturing tone.

"Get a move on, Midoriya."

"Yes!" Midoriya nodded firmly.

"Also, Chiffon." Shota Aizawa looked toward Chiffon, who sat by the window in the back row, and said with some approval, "You held your own against two powerful Quirks by yourself without falling behind. I believe you'll become an outstanding Professional Hero in the future."

"Thank you for recognizing me, Teacher Aizawa." Chiffon stood and bowed to Shota Aizawa.

"Tch, what are you showing off for?" Bakugo Katsuki said irritably.

The classmates all looked at Chiffon with envy. Earning Teacher Aizawa's recognition was something to be honored and proud of.

Shota Aizawa pressed a hand down, then glanced at Shoto Todoroki without saying anything. Shoto Todoroki looked calm, as though none of this mattered to him. The only person who caught his attention was Chiffon.

"Now, onto the main topic of homeroom. Sorry this is rather sudden, but today I'd like you all to—"

Another pop quiz? Most of them thought the same thing.

However, Shota Aizawa said, "Choose the class representative."

The students immediately complained inwardly, Finally, something a normal school would do.

For a moment, everyone began nominating themselves. Chiffon said nothing. He had no interest in being class president. He felt Tenya Iida would be more suited to the role.

"Silence!" Tenya Iida suddenly stood and shouted. The classroom immediately fell quiet, and everyone looked at him.

"This is a position with the heavy responsibility of leading others. It is not something one can hold merely by wanting it, is it?" Tenya Iida said sternly. "One must be trusted by those around them to take on this sacred duty. If we are to follow democracy and allow everyone here to choose a true leader, then I believe this matter should be decided by vote."

"Aren't you raising your own hand pretty high too?" everyone complained.

"Why suggest that?" Denki Kaminari asked in confusion.

"We've only known each other for a short while. There's no trust to speak of yet, Iida-chan." Tsuyu-chan said, poking her cheek with a finger.

"Everyone will definitely vote for themselves." Eijiro Kirishima spread his hands.

"Exactly. In a situation like this, wouldn't the person who can still receive votes be the one truly worthy of the position?" Tenya Iida asked Shota Aizawa, "What do you think, teacher?"

By then, Shota Aizawa had wrapped himself tightly in a yellow sleeping bag like a caterpillar. "Do whatever you want. Just decide before this class ends."

After everyone discussed it and evaluated themselves, the voting results finally came out.

Chiffon, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Midoriya Izuku each received two votes. The others had basically all voted for themselves.

Chiffon looked at the writing on the blackboard and thought. Midoriya should originally have been first, followed by Momo Yaoyorozu. Now the three of them had the same number of votes.

"Why would anyone vote for Deku? Who the hell was it?!" Bakugo Katsuki slammed the desk and stood up.

"Well, all I know is that he's still better than voting for you." Hanta Sero said with a grin.

"What did you say, bastard?!" Bakugo Katsuki looked ready to throw a punch.

Chiffon stood up directly. "I'm giving up my chance to be class president. I'll give my two votes to Iida."

"You say that like he could become class president if you didn't give them to him." Bakugo Katsuki said with his arms folded.

Chiffon ignored him and looked at Tenya Iida instead.

"Chiffon, why are you giving your votes to me? Is it really just because you don't want to run?" Tenya Iida asked in surprise.

"I just think you're more suited to being class president." There was nothing wrong with what Chiffon said. Naturally, the class president had to be someone with glasses, especially someone as upright as Tenya Iida.

"Thank you, Chiffon." Tenya Iida thanked him.

In the end, Tenya Iida successfully became class president. At that moment, he felt somewhat stirred, and it also meant that his responsibilities had grown heavier.

Midoriya gave up the vice president position, and Momo Yaoyorozu took the role instead. However, Momo Yaoyorozu was puzzled as to why Chiffon had chosen to withdraw. With Chiffon's abilities, he was fully capable of serving as class president.

Chiffon was not someone good at management. He would rather be free and easy on his own. Why burden himself with so many worries?

By noon, Chiffon knew a sudden incident would happen today. The Hero Barrier would be breached, and reporters would swarm in, making the students think there was an enemy attack and panic, causing a bottleneck.

He simply went to eat later. When the time was about right, he entered the cafeteria, but there still seemed to be quite a lot of people. Students from the Support Course and Business Course were there as well.

Chiffon saw Midoriya and two others chatting. It was about time for the alarm to sound.

"Ring, ring, ring!"

The alarm went off, and every student in the cafeteria immediately panicked. This alarm only sounded when enemies invaded. Could there really be an enemy attack?

"Security Defense Level 3 has been breached. All students, please evacuate outdoors immediately," the broadcast announced.

"What is Security Defense?" Tenya Iida turned and asked a student nearby.

"It means someone has entered the school building. This is the first time it's happened in the last three years. You should evacuate too." With that, the student ran off.

Then the crowding began. Chiffon calmly ate his lunch in the cafeteria, watching the students shove against one another as though they were about to start fighting.

Suddenly, Chiffon noticed that Shoto Todoroki, not far away from him, had not gotten up either. Like Chiffon, he was still eating.

"Oh?" Chiffon smiled, carried his tray over, and sat across from Shoto Todoroki. "You're still this calm at a time like this?"

When Shoto Todoroki saw it was Chiffon, he was somewhat surprised, but quickly accepted it. He spoke flatly, "Panicking is useless. If there really are enemies, charging around wildly like them would only play right into their hands. Foolish."

That made Chiffon regard him more highly. "As expected of Todoroki. What insight!"
