Night fell like a vast black curtain, ruthlessly covering the battered world. Only in the base's laboratory did the lights still burn stubbornly, like an inextinguishable beacon of hope amid the apocalypse.

Lu Chen stood before a futuristic holographic projector, a wild light flickering in his deep-set eyes.

His long fingers swept rapidly across the virtual screen, calling up all the talent data he had copied before. The densely packed numbers and symbols were like the code he needed to conquer the apocalypse.

"Every talent is a rule... a concrete manifestation of power," Lu Chen murmured to himself, his deep, magnetic voice carrying unshakable confidence. "If I can turn them into weapons, their wielders can unleash SSS-rank combat power without needing to master the talents themselves... That is the Godslaying Legion's true future!"

A wicked smile curled his lips, as though he could already see the spectacular sight of the legion's members sweeping away everything in their path with divine weapons in hand.

Linda's ice-blue eyes watched curiously as Lu Chen traced the outline of a sword in the air. Its lines were smooth and powerful, as though it contained boundless energy.

"Boss, you're making a weapon? But... will this thing actually work?" Linda couldn't help voicing her doubts. After all, turning talents into weapons sounded like a fairy tale.

Without looking back, Lu Chen replied in a calm, firm voice, "No, I'm not making a weapon. I'm creating rules... an entirely new set of rules for combat!"

Like pigments, he precisely blended the energy of three SSS-rank talents-Flame Manipulation, Frost Freeze, and Thunder Shock-into the design diagram. Then, using the enormous Talent Furnace at the center of the laboratory as the core, he began pouring energy into it at a frenzied pace.

The furnace let out a low rumble, like a sleeping beast waking up, and the air around it began to stir.

"Hum-"

In an instant, a dazzling light erupted from the furnace. A longsword woven from three elements slowly took shape in the air!

Half its blade burned with raging flames, while the other half was covered in thick frost. Crackling lightning coiled around its hilt. The three vastly different energies merged perfectly in the sword, giving off a terrifying aura that made hearts tremble.

A Kai's eyes widened. He couldn't resist reaching out to touch the sword, only for a sudden bolt of lightning to send him flying back. His arm turned black and charred in an instant.

"Hiss-! Boss, this thing... it's electrified!" A Kai sucked in a sharp breath and shook his hand with a grimace, looking aggrieved.

Lu Chen chuckled, seemingly having expected this all along. "I told you not to touch things carelessly. This isn't an ordinary toy."

He slowly gripped the hilt, feeling the surging energy within the blade, and a satisfied smile curved his lips.

"Clang-!"

With a clear ring, Lu Chen gave the Boundary-Breaking Blade a gentle swing. The air seemed to tear apart, leaving a clearly visible spatial rift, deep and dark, as though it led to another world.

"I call this sword the Boundary-Breaking Blade." Lu Chen's voice echoed through the laboratory, tinged with a hint of pride. "It can not only cut through matter, but also briefly tear open spatial barriers. It's the weapon the Godslaying Legion will use to break the shackles of the apocalypse!"

Linda's beautiful eyes sparkled with excitement as she stared at the Boundary-Breaking Blade in Lu Chen's hand, eager to snatch it up and swing it around herself.

"Boss, that's so cool! Can you make one for us too? I want an awesome weapon like that!" Linda asked eagerly.

A Kai chimed in, "Yeah, yeah! Boss, you can't play favorites! We want divine weapons too!"

Lu Chen smiled and nodded, waving a hand to tell them to be patient. "Don't worry. I prepared yours long ago."

He immediately began crafting a custom weapon for Linda.

He extracted Linda's Frost Manipulation talent and cleverly added a trace of Perception Enhancement. Finally, an ice-blue dagger slowly took shape in Lu Chen's hand.

Its blade was incomparably sharp, glinting coldly under the lights as though it could freeze anything.

"This dagger is called Frost Shadow. It can manipulate the power of frost and enhance your perception, making you more alert in battle." Lu Chen handed Frost Shadow to Linda with a smile.

Linda took the dagger and swung it gently. A trail of frost instantly formed in the air, seemingly enough to lower the temperature around them by several degrees.

She stroked Frost Shadow's blade, unable to put it down, a satisfied smile on her face. "Thanks, Boss! I love this dagger!"

For A Kai, he crafted an extendable lightning staff.

Lu Chen brought A Kai's Lightning Affinity talent to its fullest potential and added Strength Amplification and Speed Enhancement, forging a staff that could both unleash the Power of Thunder and extend or retract at will.

The staff was pitch-black from end to end, blue arcs of electricity crackling over its surface as though it contained an endless supply of the Power of Thunder.

"This staff is called Thunder's Fury. It can unleash powerful lightning attacks and extend or retract at will, letting you fight with ease at close range or from a distance." Lu Chen handed Thunder's Fury to A Kai with a smile.

A Kai eagerly took the staff and swung it hard. A thick bolt of lightning instantly struck the laboratory wall, leaving a charred mark.

"Wow! What incredible power!" A Kai waved Thunder's Fury excitedly, like a child with a new toy.

Watching Linda and A Kai's excitement, Lu Chen felt a sense of accomplishment.

"All right, now, both of you get onto the experiment tables. Let me see how compatible you are with your weapons." Lu Chen pointed to the three experiment tables in the center of the laboratory, his tone serious.

Hearing this, Linda and A Kai immediately put away their smiles and stepped onto the experiment tables with serious expressions, gripping their weapons tightly.

Lu Chen took a deep breath, walked over to the control console, and activated the energy resonance device.

"Hum-!"

The entire laboratory was instantly flooded with dazzling light. A powerful surge of energy erupted from the experiment tables, churning the air around them...

"Now, the real show begins..." Lu Chen looked at the three people enveloped in energy, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly.

The light of the energy resonance raged like a solar storm, so bright it was almost impossible to keep one's eyes open.

Lu Chen narrowed his eyes as he watched the three people enveloped in energy on the experiment tables, as though he were looking at three supernovas about to explode.

"Awesome! This feels like I just paid 1,288 to become a VIP and deal 999 damage per hit!" A Kai shouted excitedly. The arcs of electricity on Thunder's Fury leaped even more violently, crackling as though they were about to explode.

Linda was comparatively calm. She gripped Frost Shadow tightly, feeling the icy power surge through her body, as though she had become a queen of ice and snow.

"This power... I love it, I love it!"

Lu Chen nodded in satisfaction. Those two were even more compatible with their weapons than he had expected.

It looked like this round of the Talent Armament plan was in the bag!

He walked over to the holographic projector and worked rapidly with both hands on the screen, bringing up one design after another.

"Starting today, the Godslaying Legion is no longer just an alliance of talent users..." He raised his head and swept his gaze over Linda and A Kai, his voice low and powerful. "We will become the blade that rewrites the rules of the apocalypse."

"Boss, just say the word. What do you want us to do next? Tear down the military base next door, or wipe out the headquarters of that Holy Light Church or whatever?" A Kai rubbed his hands excitedly, looking eager to get started.

Linda looked at him expectantly too.

A mysterious smile curved Lu Chen's lips. Instead of answering directly, he said meaningfully, "Get used to your new toys first... But before that..."

He paused and turned his gaze toward a pile of zombie crystal cores carelessly heaped in a corner of the laboratory.

"It's time to give you both a little... appetizer."

Before Linda and A Kai could react, Lu Chen roughly grabbed a handful of crystal cores for each of them and stuffed them into their mouths without a word of explanation.

"Ugh... Boss, are you serious?!" A Kai almost threw up.

Lu Chen merely smiled wickedly and tossed out a parting remark. "If you don't want to get stronger, go ahead and try spitting them out..." Then he walked straight out of the laboratory, leaving the two of them with the sight of his imposing back.
