Madness
Li Zhi thought, This is bad, and hurriedly dropped the curtain.
But he had already alerted the hijackers.
There were nearly a hundred passengers on the plane. If they learned about the hijacking and knew they were doomed to die, many of them would probably turn vicious. If that happened, the few hijackers would have a hard time keeping so many people under control at once.
"Qiangzi, go check the back!"
The leader sitting up front spoke.
"Fuck your mother! Just because you're the leader doesn't mean I have to listen to you. I'm busy right now!"
Qiangzi, who was already "an arrow on the bowstring," had red eyes. He had clearly gone mad, and right now he wouldn't listen to anyone.
The leader didn't seem particularly angry at being snapped at. Instead, he leisurely grabbed the hem of his clothes and began wiping the crude pistol in his hand. Clearly, he intended to persuade Qiangzi with "reason"!
"The back was your responsibility in the first place. Now I'll give you two choices. One, go to the back right now..."
"Fuck your mother! You think you're so great because you have a gun? I'm going to die anyway. If you've got the guts, shoot me dead. Otherwise, shut the fuck up!"
The old saying was right: the soft feared the hard, the hard feared the ruthless, and the ruthless feared those who didn't care if they lived or died!
If a man didn't even care about his life, what could you threaten him with?
The leader, who had been shouted down before he could finish, instantly darkened.
"Qiangzi, think this through. You can die and be done with it, but what about your parents? Your son?"
Everyone had a weakness, even those who didn't fear death.
"Fuck! Anyone who dares touch my son, I'll kill their whole family!"
This hijacker called Qiangzi clearly had a weakness too. When he heard the word "son," a trace of clarity returned to his bloodshot eyes.
"Fuck!!! Fuck! Fuck!! Fuck!!!"
Qiangzi grabbed the steel pipe lying beside him and stared fixedly at the leader with bloodshot eyes, as though considering whether to kill him on the spot. In the end, though, he abandoned the idea, all the while shouting the name of a certain plant.
Hearing the footsteps draw closer, Li Zhi looked around, opened the door to the nearby lavatory, and quickly hid inside.
The curtain was pulled aside. Qiangzi looked around but saw no one.
"Nobody here!"
He shouted back irritably, then prepared to return and finish what he had started.
"Go check the back!"
"You son of a...!"
Under the leader's dark gaze, he swallowed the final word and left it unspoken.
The footsteps resumed.
Soon, Qiangzi reached the lavatory. He failed to notice that its door was ajar, leaving a tiny crack, and behind that crack was an eye filled with killing intent.
The moment Qiangzi passed, Li Zhi pulled the lavatory door open and used the clothing he had prepared to strangle him. Li Zhi turned around, hoisted Qiangzi onto his back, and lifted him off the ground by the clothing.
"Ugh~ ugh~~ ugh~~~"
Even barehanded, Li Zhi had ten thousand ways to kill Qiangzi. But if he wanted to avoid making too much noise, this was the best method under the circumstances.
Li Zhi had been somewhat worried that Qiangzi might try to escape by pulling his hair or attacking his head directly, so he had prepared several countermeasures.
As it turned out, he had overthought it.
From beginning to end, the hijacker called Qiangzi struggled against the clothing around his neck and never once thought to attack Li Zhi to escape.
But that was most people's first reaction. Few could think rationally about a solution under such circumstances.
Qiangzi's struggles grew weaker and weaker until he stopped moving altogether.
Even so, Li Zhi did not let his guard down in the slightest. He couldn't rule out the possibility that this was an enemy trick, and even if the odds were only one in ten thousand, Li Zhi wouldn't gamble on it.
Only after another minute had passed did Li Zhi lower Qiangzi, who had long since stopped moving, from his back. The instant he set him down, Li Zhi struck him over the heart with a lightning-fast punch from his right fist.
"Crack~~!"
That was the sound of ribs breaking.
Now, whether Qiangzi had been pretending or not, even an immortal couldn't save him.
Meanwhile, the hijackers in business class realized something must have gone wrong when Qiangzi didn't return after so long.
They didn't come out one by one to meet their deaths like the Calabash Brothers trying to rescue their grandfather, nor did they intend to come out together to investigate. Instead, they prepared to retreat into the cockpit and close the door.
For safety reasons, once an airplane's cockpit door was closed, it could generally only be opened from the inside.
Thanks to the widespread use of the internet, most people knew about this design, and these hijackers were clearly no exception.
Li Zhi, who had been waiting outside for some time, saw that they had no intention of coming out and pulled aside the curtain blocking his view. He saw the three remaining hijackers retreating into the cockpit.
When Li Zhi saw them, they naturally saw him too.
Without any hesitation, the leader decisively raised his gun and aimed at Li Zhi. Li Zhi threw the steel pipe in his hand at him and rolled onto the floor in the same motion.
"Bang~!"
"Thud~~"
The first sound was the gunshot; the second was the steel pipe hitting his head.
There was no contrived scene of the bullet striking the steel pipe. And if the bullet had happened to hit it, that would not have been good news for Li Zhi.
A missed shot could be followed by a second, but Li Zhi didn't have a second steel pipe.
The steel pipe struck the armed leader squarely in the head. Li Zhi was quite confident in his aim at this distance; after all, he still had the experience from his previous life.
The bullet didn't hit Li Zhi. His somewhat awkward roll across the floor had taken him out of its path.
The leader lost consciousness the instant the steel pipe struck his head. The two hijackers beside him were at a loss and froze where they stood.
They froze, but Li Zhi didn't. He got up and rushed toward them.
