The Person Inside the Golden Coffin
The temple is winding and has many rooms, resembling a maze.
William thus transformed into a giant eagle, flying endlessly, seemingly aimlessly, but in reality... aimlessly.
Without accurate maps and navigation, one cannot determine their own location or find their destination.
They can only fly around randomly.
However, Hermione, riding on his back, was wearing headphones and listening intently to something.
A wisp of thin wires emanated from the headphones, drifting in all directions as if conducting a radar search.
She wore a modified version of Extendable Ears, which allowed her to hear sounds from distant areas.
The original Extendable Ears were invented by Fred and George.
Before they joined the Order of the Phoenix, they often used it to eavesdrop on meetings.
The usage method is also very simple:
A long, thin rope, one end tucked into a person's ear, the other end slipped through a crack in the door.
The user can then clearly hear the conversation on the other side.
William, being a tech geek, made a "minor" modification to the Extendable Ears before his trip.
The function of eavesdropping through a door crack was replaced with a sound amplifier, allowing sounds to be heard from miles away.
To make it easier to adjust the distance, a frequency band was added... making it incredibly sensitive to sound.
William flew for half an hour, and Hermione listened for half an hour.
She wasn't looking for the location of the mummies, but rather...
"I hear it, William!" Hermione suddenly exclaimed excitedly, "The sound of flowing water!"
She placed the Extendable Ears to William's ear.
He indeed heard the echoing sound of flowing water, as if he were standing beside a stream.
Inside the temple, there is a Sacred Lake, to which all the water flows.
The Invisible College is also located by the Sacred Lake.
This is why William dared to venture deep into this area without a map—we had "clues"!
Following the direction of the sound, William flew for about ten minutes, entering a wide passageway from a circular hall.
Once he arrived, he, who had been lost, suddenly felt as if he were in his own home and knew the way very well.
There's no way around it, it's just too familiar.
Over the past seven years, William has visited buildings similar to this one countless times.
It's not just similar... it's exactly the same, a one-to-one copy.
William descended and finally entered an underground palace.
In the dim light, he could see the imposing rectangular building supported by forty Doric columns.
The colonnade is carved with intricate Ancient Runes, and the reliefs are incredibly lifelike.
He continued flying deeper into the water, and soon he could hear the sound of flowing water without relying on his Extendable Ears.
We've finally found the Sacred Lake.
From afar, William could see a lake with a small island in the middle and buildings on the island.
The building was about two stories high and made of granite. All four facets showed a smooth, exquisite finish after polishing.
A pyramid.
The pyramid has no spires; on its smooth platform lies a wooden coffin stand with four coffins on it!
Seven years ago, William, then a freshman in his first year of high school, entered the Hogwarts Underground Palace through a secret passage with Cedric and the twins.
He witnessed a lake, a mysterious pyramid, and four golden coffins.
At the time, unable to approach the island in the lake, he thought there was magic blocking his way.
It was only later that I realized the entire lake, along with the island, wasn't actually in the Hogwarts underground palace, but rather a projection created using magic.
Where did the projection come from?
This is it!
The entire Hogwarts underground palace was also built entirely in imitation of this Egypt mystical school by the Four Founders.
After William landed, he stood by the lake with Hermione.
He stretched out his hand and placed it horizontally above the lake. In the Hogwarts underground palace, it would feel like touching a wall, but not here.
But William didn't fly over directly; he could sense the magical restraint.
Like Voldemort's Horcrux island, the Sacred Lake is protected by magic... Air traffic control prohibits flight.
Boats were unusable, and swimming across was out of the question.
Who knows, maybe there's a group of mummies underwater too?
However, according to the principals of previous generations, there are hippos at the bottom of the lake that can carry them across.
How do I seduce her?
In this regard, Mr. Newt, with his rich practical experience and unique insights, provided information on female secretions.
It can lure out the strongest male hippos.
In this way, Grandpa Newt helps countless endangered Magical Creatures solve infertility, sexual incompatibility, frigidity, and other difficult problems.
If it weren't for the fact that many Magical Creatures are unable to write, they would definitely send him a banner of appreciation.
He is a medical genius, a master of healing.
Sure enough, soon after William took out the bottle, there was a strange movement from underwater, and a group of hippos surfaced.
They swam towards the shore with wild cries.
Just then, the tip of the hippopotamus's tusk suddenly emitted a bright light.
Points of light gathered together, swaying gently from afar, creating a scene unlike anything in the human world.
Finally, a vortex appeared in the sky.
William frowned slightly... This scene seemed familiar.
He was more than just acquaintances; he was practically sick of them.
It's you again... Lady of the Lake!
Wherever there's water, there you are, right?
It's like a persistent ghost.
Sure enough, a beautiful woman emerged from the center of the vortex and slowly descended.
The witch stepped on the back of a hippopotamus, and instead of resisting, the hippos suddenly fell silent.
"Long time no see." Vivian looked at William, her eyes smiling. "It's been two years since last time, hasn't it? You've grown quite a bit taller."
"What are you doing here?" William asked sarcastically, his eyes filled with hostility.
"Last time it was Siren in Merpeople, and now what is it? It's become a hippo god?"
"What I am is unimportant." Vivian didn't care about his attitude, only glancing at the island and smiling playfully:
"Are you planning to cross the river to get the golden coffin?"
"Do you want to stop me?" William's voice grew cold, gesturing for Hermione to be ready to draw the Holy Grail at any moment.
Vivian was a witch from Merlin's era; her strength was definitely inferior to hers.
But she was trapped somewhere by Stonehenge.
The projection here is merely a result of a discovered magical loophole.
William possesses the Holy Grail, which can activate Stonehenge and send Vivian's projection back.
I'm not afraid of her at all.
"Why should I stop you?" Vivian stood with her hands behind her back, tilting her head back calmly.
"When the Ravenclaw arrived here, the Invisible College of Egypt had already disappeared into the annals of history."
I helped them find a wealth of Prehistoric Mysteries left behind by Egypt sorcerers, and I also helped Ravenclaw obtain that ring.
As she left, she forcibly broke the contract between the ring and the Invisible School, took it with her, and became the ring's owner.
I haven't said anything yet, so why should I stop you from getting the golden coffin?
When William received the Ravenclaw Bronze Ring, he heard about Ravenclaw's domineering nature from Dumbledore.
But I never expected there to be such hidden secrets inside.
However, what William actually wanted to say was:
Vivian didn't not want to stop it, but rather she couldn't, right?
The witch looked down at her and smiled:
"I am a very fair person, and I believe in equal exchange."
"You've come looking for the golden coffin simply to enter the Underworld and find Death, right?"
William didn't speak, but Vivian continued on her own:
"Finding Death is not so easy. The River Styx is more dangerous and terrifying than you can imagine."
Without a map, you'd definitely get lost and die there.
Vivian sat atop the hippopotamus's head, looking directly at William, and said:
"I happen to have such a map, called the ' Book of Two Ways,' which I can provide to you in exchange for something of equal value."
"Forget it, I won't give you the Goblin Gems or the dragon from the Holy Grail," William said firmly.
If another one is released, Vivian will probably escape the confinement of Stonehenge.
William hasn't yet figured out whether she's friend or foe.
Vivian's tone was icy. "Then let's change the trade items."
"What?"
"Help me kill someone."
"Who?"
"The person inside the golden coffin."
