Fire Dragon Stewed with Snake Eggs?
As night fell, William awoke from his sleep.
He found himself lying in an unfamiliar room.
Judging from the furnishings inside and the strong smell of blood-tonifying medicine in the air, this is a hospital.
William felt a splitting headache, swayed as he sat up, picked up a cup from the bedside table, and drank a sip of the Potions inside. After drinking it, the headache lessened, and he immediately felt refreshed.
William tasted it, he savored it; this was Potions he had never seen before.
He could only deduce from the smell, color, and effects that it was a medicine to relieve mental fatigue, containing Moonstone Powder and Hellebore Syrup; he couldn't identify anything more.
But it tastes really good, almost like a sugary drink, and its effects are far superior to any other similar Potions he knows.
It seems I need to find out sometime; he'll be carrying a thermos and drinking goji berry tea from now on.
William has a terrible inertia from brewing Potions for so long in the time loop; he always wants to try out unfamiliar Potions.
William looked around. On the bedside table, there was a bouquet of freshly changed lilies, along with several greeting cards.
William picked up the card and found it belonged to Cedric and his group.
William looked up and saw Fawkes standing on a shelf, its ugly head raised, staring at him with its bright black eyes.
After Fawkes immolated himself at Gringotts that day, he became like this—a wrinkled, fledgling bird.
It seems that Fawkes's so-called blessing came at a price.
William smiled gratefully at it; if Fawkes hadn't released the magic within him, he wouldn't have been able to drive away the black-robed wizard.
William glanced at his wand, lying across a pile of first-year textbooks. He reached out and grasped it, his brow suddenly furrowing.
The wand emitted a vibrating, booming sound, much like the first time it was in Ollivander.
Only then did he realize that the magical power flowing within his body had increased several times over compared to before!
In other words, his current magical power is probably only slightly less than that of a seventeen-year-old adult wizard.
William instinctively tried to cast a spell, but his Transfiguration spell resulted in an excessive magical output, blasting a carved wooden chair into pieces.
Transfiguration is a delicate art; many details require careful Transfiguration, otherwise it can easily explode. William's case is a result of his inability to adapt to the surge in magical power.
William paused for a moment, then stopped trying to cast a spell and sat on the bed, feeling the changes within his body.
Under this focused feeling, I could feel the abundant magic within me, as if it were endless.
If a seventeen-year-old wizard has a magic power of one hundred, then he used to have at most twenty, but now it has skyrocketed to over eighty.
William opened his eyes and muttered to himself, "Is this the Phoenix's Blessing?"
"That's right."
An old man pushed open the door and walked in. He was wearing Dragon Hide apron, and behind him was a metal rack that seemed to be alive, carrying a pot of stewed meat.
"Of the dragon meat you sent me, I took the fattest and most succulent part," Nicolas Flamel said with a smile.
"I even made a special trip to Africa to find some Runespoor, which I added to the pot; the flavor was exceptionally delicious."
William's eyelids twitched. The Runespoor was Magical Creatures classified as XXXX by the Ministry of Magic, making it extremely dangerous.
The Runespoor was once a beloved pet of dark wizards, and its most distinctive feature is that it lays eggs from its mouth.
Those eggs are incredibly valuable; they can be used to make potions that stimulate brain activity. For centuries, the black market for snakes Runespoor and their eggs has been thriving.
Nicolas Flamel just ate it without hesitation, even the dragon meat... If William had such a thing, his first thought would definitely be to use it to brew Potions.
This is the gap between the rich and the poor... William shed tears of extreme poverty.
But since they'd already cooked it, William couldn't just let it go to waste; he was starving too, so he didn't care about being wasteful.
William walked over to the shelf and saw two tentacles on the metal shelf, automatically sprinkling ingredients into the pot.
Next to the shelf, a book titled "Fantastic Beasts in the Pot" was floating.
The recipe is simply following the steps in the book to stew the meat.
I wonder if the famous Care of Magical Creatures Newt Scamander would want to fight the old man if he saw this book.
William marveled.
"It's just a product of Alchemy," Nicolas chuckled. "A simple little gadget."
This is no small matter; William had never heard of it before. The old man's Alchemy skills were indeed beyond the reach of ordinary people.
William observed for a while, then sat down next to the old man and, without any hesitation, began to eat the dragon stew with snake eggs with him.
It truly tasted like the best food William had ever eaten.
I wonder what Hagrid's expression would be if he knew William had eaten his little cutie.
--Longlong is so cute, how can you eat her?
Nicolas Flamel was pleased with William's attitude. He laughed and said, "Your sudden increase in magic power is indeed due to Fawkes's blessing."
The so-called Phoenix's Blessing is that the phoenix burns itself, sacrificing its life to greatly increase someone's magic power.
The final increase is related to the wizard's own talent.
If William has the ability to absorb all of the phoenix's immense magic, then he can obtain all of Fawkes's magic.
But this was clearly impossible; he ultimately only obtained several times his own magical power.
William said self-deprecatingly, "What a waste."
The old man shook his head and chuckled, "It's too early to say that. In Albus, improving your strength is the most urgent task right now, otherwise your Ravenclaw Ring will be wasted."
"Did the professor tell you?"
"Of course, otherwise why would I write to you?" Nicolas patted William on the shoulder. "Son, don't waste your talent, grow up quickly."
Your current magic power seems abundant, but it's actually negligible; it's not even enough to cast a large-scale spell.
Those powerful wizards, which one doesn't possess immense magical power? And they all have various ways to increase their magical power.
William asked doubtfully, "I remember that the phoenix is an immortal creature, so doesn't that mean it can bestow blessings on one person an unlimited number of times?"
"Of course not," Nicolas Flamel shook his head. "A wizard can only receive the Phoenix's Blessing once in his lifetime, and not everyone has the opportunity to receive Phoenix's Blessing."
"Phoenixes are now rarely seen, and tamed phoenixes are even rarer."
The phoenix is a proud creature with independent thought; only those who gain its approval can receive its blessing.
"Besides me, who else has received the Phoenix's Blessing?" William asked curiously.
"Albus, but at that time, Fawkes wasn't in Albus's hands, but in someone else's."
"Who?"
"Son, this part... I think it's better if Albus tells you himself," Nicolas said with a smile.
William sighed. These important people always liked to leave things unsaid, and the other person's smile seemed to suggest they were afraid he wouldn't be able to accept it.
William has witnessed the Ravenclaw Ring and fought against the dragon... what is there left for him to accept, unless he is suddenly told that Dumbledore is actually gay!
"Mr. Flamel, do you know who that black-robed wizard is?"
"I'm sorry, this is another answer I can't give you right now, child."
William wanted to ask something more, but Nicolas stood up.
"Alright, that's all I can tell you for now. Thank you for your one-sixth of the fire dragon. I think you need to see someone next."
He's been waiting for you for a long time...
Who is it?
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
"Yes, Scrimgeour, the Head of the Auror Office."
