Hermione, Left Out
Professor Snape remained expressionless in the face of Dumbledore's various hints, seemingly uninterested in such fancy things.
He thought it would be a good idea to organize everyone to sing the school song while brewing Potions, but Dumbledore would obviously not agree to this suggestion.
Snape held back his words, but after a moment he finally couldn't take it anymore and slowly exhaled, but he was almost suffocated by the smell.
Snape quickly covered his nose with his robe, then glanced at Professor Quirrell and swept the air with obvious disgust.
Does this guy never take a shower?
Professor Snape tossed his greasy hair, his eyes filled with disdain.
He then looked toward the Great Hall, where his gaze met Harry's.
"Ouch!" Harry covered his forehead with one hand.
"What's wrong?" Percy asked.
"N-nothing... it's nothing." The burning pain disappeared in an instant, just like it had come.
What lingered in Harry's mind was the feeling he got from that teacher's gaze; he felt that the teacher didn't like him at all.
Snape had absolutely no liking for Harry. He stared into Harry's eyes and then glanced at his face with disgust.
He looked at it like it was a greenbottle fly, and felt like he was going to vomit his leftovers.
Damn it... why does he have to have such a face?
This face... doesn't do justice to those eyes!
The dinner party soon came to an end, and everyone returned to the common room under the leadership of the Prefect.
Ravenclaw has replaced the door knocker with a new one, the kind that only makes a mechanical sound, which greatly disappointed many young wizards, who vowed to find the thief who stole the door knocker and kill him.
The new Prefect Penelope, led the young wizards on a tour of the common room, fulfilling Robert's duties from the previous year.
She gave an outstanding performance tonight and was very popular with the students.
William brought the Bobocha back to his dorm; he needed to get some rest.
The next morning, William got out of bed and went to the Great Hall with Cho.
One of Ravenclaw's lessons is Transfiguration, which they take together with the young wizards of Hufflepuff.
Professor McGonagall's strictness was well-known; no one wanted to be late for her class.
The Ravenclaw table was already quite full of students, who were still discussing last night's banquet.
The twin brothers waved to them, and the two of them sat down at the Gryffindor table.
Professor McGonagall was distributing the third-grade timetables, and George helped Fred get one too.
"What's our first class?" Fred was eating toast and couldn't easily look at the schedule.
"That old liar's class," George muttered, glancing at Professor McGonagall not far away.
"Who is this old liar?" Qiu asked, holding a glass of milk.
"That old liar... that's Professor Trelawney from Divination." Fred took a bite of his toast and mumbled, "Haven't you heard the scary school legends?"
"No." William shook his head.
"You should know this." George pursed his lips, secretly mimicking Professor McGonagall's expression and manner of speaking when she wasn't looking.
"You're already in second grade, and next year you'll have to choose your courses. This is a very important stage in magical education, since you'll have to Ordinary Wizarding Level Examination in fifth grade..."
The group burst into laughter, and Professor McGonagall gave them a suspicious look.
"Alright, stop laughing, Professor McGonagall will be here soon," George said.
"Professor Trelawney Prophecy the death of a student every year; this is the terrifying school legend."
"But it never happened," Fred shrugged. "Everyone knows she's an old con artist, the kind who freeloads, and no one knows why Dumbledore kept her around."
I've always suspected that Professor Trelawney is his granddaughter.
"Hey, don't be so harsh. Her Prophecy have come true a few times," George laughed. "Two years ago she said a professor would leave us forever, and Professor Robert died soon after."
"Yeah, we're really lucky," Fred said in an exaggerated tone.
"Never mind whether she's really talented or not, all you need to do in her class is lie to pass easily—that's what the seniors say," George said happily. "And when it comes to lying, we're masters, born that way!"
"Yes, besides being easier to pass, choosing Divination has many other advantages," Fred said.
"As long as you attend her class, you can daydream and do whatever you want. All you have to do Prophecy something bad will happen to you every night. It's that simple."
The twin brothers shared the intelligence they had gathered and hoped that William and Qiu would also take her class next year.
"Cedric, you also chose the Divination?" Qiu asked.
Where there is autumn, there is Cedric. He arrived at some unknown time and is now sitting next to autumn, leisurely dipping bread in Lao Gan Ma chili sauce.
Since it was bought in the fall and recommended by William, Cedric naturally spread layer after layer of bread on it with a spoon.
He really mistook it for butter!
"I didn't choose this course." Cedric picked up another piece of bread.
Unlike the twins, he doesn't need easy courses; he only needs to choose courses that are useful to him.
He chose several very difficult courses.
Among them is Study of Ancient Runes.
William is also studying the course on his own, but he was introduced to it in the time loop, so he's progressing faster Cedric.
Cedric also chose to Study of Plant Textures, which helped him in making wands.
"You actually chose Muggle Studies?" William exclaimed in surprise, looking at Cedric's schedule.
Several people gathered around.
"Just out of interest." Cedric stuffed some more butter into his giant bread.
"Cedric, you're only learning how to get along with Muggle because of someone, aren't you?" William chuckled.
Qiu's parents are both Muggle, so "someone" naturally refers to Qiu.
"No, I just simply like Muggle."
Cedric shook his head nonchalantly, but secretly gave William a thumbs up.
He truly is a good brother and a good wingman, revealing everything that was on his mind but inconvenient to say.
Just then, Hermione walked over with the Gryffindor students, carrying the small bag William had given her.
William made a small Undetectable Extension Charm for each of them, each with a capacity of five cubic meters.
Akali's Mystery Shop also carries this item, and it's quite expensive.
After all, the Undetectable Extension Charm is a very high-level spell, and not just anyone can create it.
Hermione sat down next to William, picked up a glass of milk, and took out William's first-year notebook. She began to eat while studying diligently.
"Hermione, I remember you didn't have classes this morning, right?" William asked, puzzled. "It's only the first day, why are you here so early?"
"We're going to the library after lunch," Hermione said matter-of-factly. "I heard that if you don't go early, there won't be any seats left. Do you want me to save you a seat?"
"It's not that exaggerated." William frowned slightly.
"If all the young wizards at Hogwarts were this studious, Professor Dumbledore would be very pleased."
"By the way, who told you these things?"
"My roommate Lavender Brown told me last night." Hermione took a bite of her Xiao Yuan and tilted her head. "What's wrong?"
Um... William suddenly realized that this little girl had been isolated after only one night at school.
But she hadn't realized it yet.
Poor child.
