The curtains in the compartment were drawn, and the thick drapes blocked out the sunlight, leaving it extremely dark inside. The five sat around the table, discussing their evil plan.

"First, we need to find an unfamiliar face to knock on the Slytherin compartment door. If we go, they'll definitely be on guard."

As he spoke, George looked at William.

"You're the only first-year here. They definitely won't suspect you."

"True." William rested a hand on his chin and nodded. Then he raised an eyebrow and said, "But... as the only student who knocked on the door, I'll definitely be the one they come after afterward.

"Unless I go home as soon as we pull this off, I won't have a single peaceful day after that."

"Isn't that great? It'll add a tiny bit of fun to your boring school life." Fred patted William on the shoulder to comfort him.

George continued, "You can come to Gryffindor. Professor McGonagall will definitely protect you."

William rolled his eyes. Like hell I believe you!

"What happens next?" Lee Jordan asked.

"Next, I'll use this to fire a smoke bomb into the compartment and cause chaos." As George spoke, a gun-shaped launcher appeared in his hand.

They had modified it to drive away Gnomes.

In George's right hand was also a small white ball, a product purchased from the Gambol and Japes Wizarding Joke Shop. After a hard impact, it would release a large amount of white smoke, making it look like a fire from a distance.

The twins had originally planned to launch Filibuster Fireworks, but those were too powerful. They were afraid the flames might shoot through the roof of the train.

Although that would have been tense and exciting, just like shooting a blockbuster, their family couldn't afford the train repairs.

The Weasley brothers liked playing pranks, but they still kept the consequences within manageable limits to avoid causing trouble for their family.

"Is that the whole plan?" Cedric asked happily.

He was a good boy, and if that was all the prank involved, he wouldn't feel too guilty.

But Cedric was going to be disappointed.

Like a great hero, Fred grinned smugly and rummaged around inside his trousers. A moment later, he pulled out a big, furry, pitch-black creature!

It had black fur, a broad, flat bill, a short, blunt, thick tail, and a pair of webbed feet. A little bigger than a palm, it looked rather like a cross between a mole and a platypus.

"Is that... a Niffler?" William asked in surprise.

He had read about this Magical Creature in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

"That's right!" George grinned. "He's only four months old, and he's terribly naughty. He stole loads of Knuts from Fred and me this summer.

"But thanks to him, we also found the secret stash of money our dad hid a few years ago!"

William was certain the twins hadn't handed the money over to Mr. and Mrs. Weasley.

But right now, he was more interested in knowing where Fred had hidden the creature in his trousers... hiding a Niffler in his crotch-wasn't he afraid the little guy would bite?

Lee Jordan was practically drooling with envy. He rubbed his hands and asked excitedly, "Where did you get him?"

"A few months ago, George and I found a mother Niffler in the Forbidden Forest. Her leg was injured, so we took her to Hagrid," Fred replied.

"The mother Niffler gave birth to eight little Nifflers. This one liked biting his brothers, so Hagrid gave him to us."

"Hey, I have to say, nice adventure! But you went to the Forbidden Forest without telling me!" Lee Jordan complained.

While they were talking, the Niffler had already wriggled free of Fred's hand and slipped the Knuts from his pocket into his own pouch along the way.

A Niffler's pouch looked small from the outside, but it actually had a lot of space inside and could hold a great many things, as though an Undetectable Extension Charm had been cast on it.

After emptying Fred's pocket, the Niffler tried to steal William's Galleons, but froze the next second-he had caught sight of Bobocha napping in the sunlight!

In the sunlight, his orange fur shone brightly!

What a huge lump of yel... gold!

Excitement flashed in the Niffler's eyes, and he sped toward Bobocha on his short little legs.

His tiny claws grasped Bobocha's slender tail, trying to drag it bit by bit into his pouch.

Bobocha got a terrible fright. With a "meow," he sprang to his feet.

Bobocha hated his disobedient tail too, but only he was allowed to bite it!

He fixed his blue eyes on the hateful, stinking... rat... mole... duck?

Whatever he was, Bobocha's claws shot out and smacked the Niffler hard on the head, sending him flying.

After a spectacular knee slide across the tabletop, the Niffler crashed into the little white rabbit in Cho's hands.

How could I stand for that?

Fine, the orange cat bullied me, but you're a rat at the bottom of the food chain just like me, and you dare bump into me?

The little white rabbit stood up straight, planted her left paw on her hip, and pointed her right paw at the Niffler, squeaking and mumbling angry curses.

"..."

Everyone was speechless. So she was the type to bully the weak and fear the strong!

But the Niffler wasn't one to be bullied either. He was a Magical Creature, after all.

George hurriedly reached out, grabbed the tuft of hair on the Niffler's head, and lifted him back.

Fred laughed. "That's just how the little guy is. He steals things, and he's naughty, but he's still a great little fellow!"

George nodded in wholehearted agreement.

"We're counting on this little guy today. Once the smoke bomb goes off, we'll put him into the Slytherin compartment."

"Then how do we get him out?" Lee Jordan asked.

With a Niffler's love of treasure, he probably wouldn't come back until he had stolen everything on the train.

"That's easy," William said. "Nifflers like bright things. The brighter something is, the more it attracts them. So we need a mirror... does anyone have one?"

Everyone turned to the only girl in the compartment-Cho Chang.

Cho raised an eyebrow and took a round mirror engraved with patterns from her pocket. She lifted her hand, and the silver bracelets on her wrist jingled pleasantly.

Cho smiled slyly. "Want it?"

"Fizzing Whizzbees-four cups!" Although Cho had never eaten any honey sweets, that didn't stop her from making an outrageous demand now to avenge her little rabbit.

"Agreed!" Cedric said decisively.

Tsk-that beast who puts girls before his friends.

The compartments in the middle of the train had been taken over by students from Slytherin House.

Like a first-year who had lost his way, William walked up to the door of one compartment.

But he didn't knock as George had suggested.

The first rule of doing something bad was not to show your face!

If the Slytherins in the compartment saw him, no matter what happened afterward, those students would remember him!

William wasn't afraid, but he wasn't some reckless fool either. Of course he wasn't going to take the blame for this.

He took out his wand, touched it to the door handle, and whispered, "Alohomora."

The compartment latch opened with a click. William grabbed the handle and yanked the door open, then quickly slipped around the corner.

George, hiding on the other side, seized the opportunity and fired the smoke bomb accurately into the compartment. Great clouds of white smoke hissed out.

A dark figure charged in. This was the real outlaw of the wilds-Rogue Robin Sniff!
