Are You the Dragon Knight?
Hogwarts Castle
Gryffindor girls' dormitory.
Hermione, who was sleeping in bed, suddenly woke up with a start. She scratched her messy brown curly hair, groggily sat up on the bed.
She didn't know how much time had passed before she became more awake, finally got out of bed, and carefully lifted the curtains.
Standing atop the Gryffindor Tower, she gazed into the distance and saw the moonlight as clear as water and Mars shining exceptionally brightly.
Beneath the vast sky, deep within the Forbidden Forest, crimson light filled the air, occasionally punctuated by flashes of lightning and fire.
In her dazed state, she was momentarily mesmerized, murmuring, "The aurora borealis? It's so beautiful..."
Cedric and the others, deep within the Forbidden Forest, would likely disagree with Hermione's assessment.
Unlike Hogwarts Castle, this place was too close to the battlefield, and the constant roaring sounds were deafening.
All three recalled the scene from before: William leaped up and rode Firenze away at breakneck speed.
Before leaving, he only left one sentence. "Go find Dumbledore!"
They did go to find Dumbledore, but they ran into Professor Snape on the way.
Professor Snape's fate was rather tragic. He was knocked unconscious by someone, his legs were tied together with vines, and he was hung upside down from a tree branch.
Although they disliked Professor Snape, they couldn't leave him alone in the Forbidden Forest; what if he got carried off by wolves?
Wasn't Professor Robert killed by Potter Warthog?
So the group made a stretcher, laid the professor on it, and floated towards the castle.
"Who's there!"
The Forbidden Forest road was rugged, and they hadn't gone halfway when a shout came from afar.
"Come out quickly—I've brought weapons!"
"It's us!" George shouted quickly. "Hagrid, come quick!"
Hagrid strode over through the grass, wearing a thick coat, carrying the bronze bow William had given him in his right hand, and holding Fang in his left.
"Oh, Merlin, what are you doing here!" Hagrid roared, "You shouldn't be here!"
"Who is this? Who's on the stretcher? Could it be William?" Hagrid's voice trembled slightly.
But upon getting closer and realizing it was Snape, he breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "Professor Snape, what happened? Is he dead?"
"Um, he shouldn't be dead yet, he can still be saved. I don't know who knocked him unconscious," Cedric stammered.
"It wasn't us!" Fred argued, seeing the distrust in Hagrid's eyes.
"Stop talking about that!" George said anxiously. "Hagrid, hurry! There's a dark wizard slaughtering Centaur over there, and William is fighting in there too."
"It's alright, children, Dumbledore is already there," Hagrid reassured them. "I saw Dumbledore a few minutes ago; he's very fast, he should have arrived long ago."
The group breathed a sigh of relief. Now that Dumbledore was there, William's safety was not in great danger.
"This is no time for that! You all get back to the castle and get Professor Snape to the Hospital Wing!" Hagrid roared. "I'm going to help Dumbledore!"
Fang struggled and refused to go, so Hagrid handed the rope to Fred.
"Take Fang back with you too. It's been too long to drag it all the way here. What a useless coward!"
Hagrid ran off in a hurry, leaving Cedric and the others looking at each other in bewilderment.
Fang regained its energy and went to the stretcher, using its tongue to wash Professor Snape Snape's face.
It sniffed the professor's hair again, then suddenly let out a wail, showing a pained expression, and almost vomited.
Fang quickly backed away, finally managing to get his mouth towards Professor Snape's trousers.
It pawed around a few times and pulled a large wad of something out of his pocket:
A large bunch of keys, a wallet without money, Veritaserum, Veritaserum antidote, Amortentia antidote, Black Widow Poison, antidote, a large Bezoar, Laughing Half-Step Madness, One-Day Death Powder, shampoo, conditioner...
"..."
"Look what this is!" Fred shouted.
He found a large number of Hallucinogenic Mushroom among that pile of things.
Fred picked up the Hallucinogenic Mushroom and sniffed it carefully, then said seriously, "That's right, this is our Hallucinogenic Mushroom. The dragon dung smell on it is unmistakable; I recognize it very well... What, you don't believe me?"
"Would you like to try some? Dragon dung tastes very different from regular fertilizer."
Cedric and George both shook their heads immediately, refusing to taste the saltiness.
More than Snape bringing so much stuff, they were curious that Fred knew the smell of dragon dung... It was quite an intriguing thing.
"These are Professor Snape's keys; I don't know which one is for the medicine storage room," George said, holding up the large bunch of keys.
"Forget it, let's make copies of everything and show them to William when we get back. He'll know which one is the storeroom key." Cedric pulled out his wand.
"That's right, since Professor Snape is unconscious, we can do whatever we want to him," Fred said with a lewd grin.
It's a pity William isn't here, otherwise he would definitely have asked, "Are you Hogwarts dragon rider?"
The battle was still raging far away by the lake.
Although Hagrid told Cedric and the others that Dumbledore minutes earlier, William did not see him.
The fiery Fire Serpent and the water dragon collided, generating a large amount of water vapor.
William clearly used a trick; he simply Transfiguration the lake water, causing it to collide with the opponent's magic.
This kind of magic, which utilizes the surrounding environment, increases the power of the water dragon while significantly reducing the difficulty of its operation.
If this were a waterless environment, William, with his current strength, would absolutely not be able to unleash such a massive water dragon.
But that's how battles are; you use geographical factors to maximize your advantages.
Bane limped to his feet, his greatsword pointing at the black-robed wizard.
The Centaur drew his bow again, subtly forming a pincer movement with William.
Voldemort vanished from his spot, his Apparition a little to William's left.
Without William speaking, Firenze, who was sitting down, suddenly turned around to dodge a red beam of light, which blasted a deep crater where they had been standing.
William doesn't need to move at all; Firenze will do everything for him. All he needs to do is cast spells!
But Voldemort kept Apparition positions unpredictably, and the distance between the two grew ever closer.
Even with Professor Flitwick's constant guidance, William found himself increasingly at a disadvantage.
If it weren't for Firenze's incredible speed beneath him and the hundred or so Centaur around them holding him back, William would probably have already been defeated.
Voldemort was now single-mindedly focused on killing him, unlike his playful demeanor at Gringotts.
He used all the strength Quirrell's body could muster.
With ten meters remaining between them, Voldemort finally raised his wand and shouted:
Avada Kedavra!
"Enchanting Blue Arc!"
William also unleashed his magic, and a bolt of lightning shot out from his wand.
The green and blue lights collided with a loud bang, like a cannonball exploding in the Forbidden Forest.
William lasted less than five seconds before the arc was pushed back.
Voldemort unleashed his magic, letting out a loud laugh. The green light shooting from his wand suddenly swelled, growing from the thickness of a chopstick to the size of an arm.
William's lightning was utterly crushed into dust by Avada Kedavra.
A phoenix cried out.
Dumbledore has finally arrived!
