Everyone Loves Cultivating Immortality
William woke up yawning and got out of bed.
Last night, Dumbledore kept him company and talked late into the night, rambling on about everything under the sun. William hinted several times that he was sleepy, but the headmaster pretended not to understand.
Fortunately, William wasn't a witch, otherwise he might have mistakenly thought Dumbledore trying to take advantage of him.
Finally, around 2 a. m., Dumbledore let him go back to his dormitory.
William opened a bottle of sobering agent and drank it down in one gulp.
The sweet and sour taste made him feel much more awake, and a wisp of smoke rose from his head.
"Wow, William, are you cultivating immortality?" William's roommate Chambers exclaimed in surprise.
Chambers was familiar with the term "cultivation of immortality," for a simple reason: he was currently reading a cultivation novel.
Chambers, who was also Cedric's rival and wanted to pursue Cho, asked William for advice one day.
William is torn between his roommate and his best buddy.
If I help him, I'll feel bad for Cedric and create difficulties for him; if I don't help, Chambers offered a favor that's hard to refuse, and I might accidentally ruin my roommate relationship...
After weighing the options, William decisively chose to abandon Cedric, pointing Chambers in the right direction.
Since we're going to pursue this, we definitely need to find common ground. And since Qiu is of Chinese descent, we should start with the culture of the Great Celestial Empire.
William recommended Chambers read "The Legend of the Swordsmen of Shu Mountain," which is the earliest known fantasy novel.
Chambers became engrossed in the Celestial Empire novels after only a short time of reading English versions.
Chasing girls is nowhere near as interesting as reading novels. In the real world, you might be looked down upon for being a straight man, a fat nerd, poor, and inconsiderate of women.
However, in novels, you can fully embody the protagonist, ruthlessly decisive in one world and building a harem in another, showcasing your personal charm...
What? The protagonist of this novel isn't handsome enough? Then I won't get into it, I'm not reading it!
So Chambers started staying up all night reading novels.
He even got the Ravenclaw students watching secretly.
For a time, everyone loved cultivating immortality!
Could this be considered a form of... cultural invasion?
After getting up, the group left the dormitory and headed towards the Great Hall.
When William sat down at the Ravenclaw table, Cedric and the twins came over and sat down next to him.
The group began to discuss in hushed tones what had happened since the previous night.
It turned out that after Cedric and the others took Professor Snape to the Hospital Wing, they went straight back to their respective common rooms.
"I have Professor Snape's key here. Check which one is for his medicine pantry." Cedric reached into his pocket.
"Wait!" William whispered quickly, "I see Professor Snape!"
Professor Snape strode into the Great Hall in his black robes, his face contorted with malice, clearly indicating he had come with ill intentions.
Of course, he had passed by Gryffindor's table earlier.
Potter, why is your hair so messy? Why don't you wash it properly?
Deduct five points for negatively impacting the appearance of Hogwarts!
Harry was completely bewildered. Naturally curly hair is illegal? It's genetic, you know!
Ron muttered a complaint, "You've already lost points on the first day of school after Christmas, and I haven't even seen you wash your hair..."
Snape didn't hear him clearly, but gave Ron a death stare, and he immediately shut up.
After reprimanding Harry, Snape strode toward the Ravenclaw dining table.
Malfoy, holding a piece of bread, stood on a stool and looked around excitedly.
He upheld justice, stood up for the weak, and was upright and incorruptible... Professor Snape truly deserves to be called a tough and unyielding man!
Malfoy is practically smitten with the charming Professor Snape!
Just as Xiaolong had hoped, Snape's next target was indeed William and his group.
"Stark, hand over your wand now! I suspect you were the ones who attacked me in the Forbidden Forest last night!"
Professor Snape's opening remarks surprised William and the others.
What's going on here? Is this a case of the pot calling the kettle black?
Professor Flitwick, who appeared out of nowhere, also came over and came to the rescue, saying, "Professor Snape, I think William was definitely in the dormitory last night. Are you mistaken?"
"No, no!" Professor Snape said angrily, "I was ambushed in the Forbidden Forest last night, and when I woke up this morning, I found myself in the Hospital Wing."
Pomfrey told me that someone knocked on her door in the middle of the night, and when she opened it, I was lying right there in front of her.
"That doesn't necessarily mean William and his group did it!" Professor Flitwick said seriously.
William and the others nodded quickly.
Fortunately, Cedric and his team didn't show up last night; they just put down the stretcher and ran away.
Otherwise, Snape would have said, "If you didn't knock him out, why did you save him?"
Snape snorted and said angrily, "Hallucinogenic Mushroom I picked last night are gone, not a single one!"
It was definitely those guys who did it! I heard from the Centaur that they often saw Stark and his men fertilizing the Hallucinogenic Mushroom!
"The Centaur might be lying to you; we didn't go out at all last night," William said seriously.
"And the professor, those Hallucinogenic Mushroom were planted by us in the Forbidden Forest."
Since you admit to taking the Hallucinogenic Mushroom, can you compensate me for my financial losses?
You may not know this, but my family is poor, and I rely on those Hallucinogenic Mushroom to scrape together next year's textbook fees.
I also have a younger sister who might start school next year, and I'll have to work part-time to buy her a new long gown...
William's acting was phenomenal; his eyes began to redden.
It's just a performance, right? Who's afraid of who!
William's acting is superb. If this were in his previous life, even if he didn't win Oscar, he could at least have won a Golden Raspberry Award, right?
Hermione, watching from a distance, rolled her eyes. If she hadn't known William so well and hadn't lived in his house for so long, she probably would have been fooled too.
So, he sneaked out again last night and even went to the Forbidden Forest?
Hateful!
Snape clearly didn't believe it either. William was secretly running various businesses and making a fortune on the side, how could he have the nerve to complain about being poor here?
Give me the wand right now!
As the crowd grew larger, Snape shouted, "The wizard who attacked me yesterday was very powerful! You Bad Guys Alliance... it could only have been you Stark!"
A smug smile appeared on Snape's face, "I know you can't Wandless Magic yet, let alone release such a powerful Stunning Spell without a wand."
Just check your wand.
William looked conflicted, and after a moment, deliberately avoiding Professor Snape's eyes, slowly said, "What if my wand can't detect the Stunning Spell?"
What do you think?
Snape took the bait immediately, just as expected.
William sighed, "Professor, first of all, you must apologize. Also, could you compensate me for my Hallucinogenic Mushroom?"
Snape smiled as he stared at the unsure-up William.
"Of course, no problem!"
