The Female Thanos of the Wizarding World
A mushroom cloud lit up high in the sky.
Those were the most dazzling fireworks William had ever seen.
He was fascinated, he was captivated, he... in his heart he was cursing!
William grabbed Hermione's hand, preparing to Apparition and escape from Paris.
Although from the moment the mushroom cloud appeared, it was clear that it was all too late.
etc...
William noticed something was wrong; he hadn't been hit by the explosion.
Merlin's pectoral muscles, that's the epicenter of the explosion!
He was right in the epicenter of the nuclear blast, his face directly in the mushroom cloud, yet he didn't feel a single shock wave?
William was utterly astonished. Unbeknownst to him, his physical body had become so strong that it could withstand a nuclear bomb and obliterate the Great Dao?
He wouldn't want to suffer an Grim and turn into a red-haired monster, would he?
This is neither scientific nor magical; rather, it's quite fantastical.
Fantasy is impossible; there's only one truth... The explosion before our eyes is not reality, but an illusion!
It is indeed an illusion; this is Arya's memory, presented to everyone in 3D Max through the skull pipe in her hand.
The Skull Tobacco Pouch is a valuable alchemical item similar to the Pensieve.
The purpose of the Pensieve is to place memories in a basin so that others can enter and view them.
The skull-shaped tobacco pouch projects images from the mind as short videos by inhaling and exhaling magical smoke.
"This is the reality we have to face!" Arya's cold voice echoed in Notre-Dame Square.
"Half a century ago, Muggle used nuclear bombs to destroy two cities. The Soviet Union used nuclear bombs to extinguish fires, mine, and build reservoirs."
Their nuclear technology is highly advanced. And their nuclear arsenal is large enough to wipe out all life on this planet several times over.
"So, Arya Grindelwald, you've inherited Grindelwald's beliefs that Muggle are the real enemies wizards must fight?"
French Ministry of Magic, Randall Tully, stood in the rain and questioned loudly.
Do you think Muggle will turn their weapons on wizards?
"In fact, Grindelwald is wrong!" Tully's gruff voice echoed.
"We have been at peace for half a century, neither discovered by Muggle nor at war with them!"
Today, we are actively engaging with Muggle politicians from various countries, and the Soviet Union has collapsed!
Arya teased, "Minister, do you think my thoughts only go this far?"
"What do you mean?!" Tully waved his hands behind his back, signaling the Auror to go around from the side.
Arya seemed oblivious to Minister Tully's subtle maneuvering and continued, "Although I inherited Grindelwald's name, I am not his follower."
I stand on the shoulders of the Dark Lord, and see further and deeper than he did!
"Then what was the point of you demonstrating the power of nuclear weapons?!" Tully said angrily.
"I just wanted to tell you..." Arya chuckled, "Muggle have the power to destroy all life on this planet, including us, of course."
Arya continued, "Actually, what I want to show you is another picture!"
Arya stood atop the dragon's head, her face illuminated by the golden light of the skull pipe. She inhaled deeply through the pipe, her blue eyes rolling upwards.
Arya, like a student being challenged by the professor during her thesis defense, released her second slide.
William gasped.
It was a picture he had seen countless times in his textbooks in his previous life.
A very despairing picture.
World population growth history diagram:
In 4000 BC, the world population was 85 million; in 1 AD, it was 230 million; in 1000 AD, 305 million; in 1650, 550 million; in 1900, 1.656 billion; in 1950, 2.501 billion; in 1987, 5.026 billion...
The curve increases dramatically towards the end, rising in an exceptionally steep manner!
"I know wizards are bad at math and don't understand Muggle exponential functions, but they can still barely understand this graph, right?" Arya scoffed.
"It took a million years for the Earth's population to reach one billion. Then, in just one hundred years, the Muggle population has astonishingly doubled."
"The population reached 2 billion in the 1920s. Then, only fifty years later, the population doubled again."
Seven years from now, in the year 2000, the Muggle population will reach an unprecedented six billion!
The entire square was deathly silent. Even the wizard with the worst math skills knew what six billion meant.
"Just imagine it for a moment," Arya exclaimed. "There are only a few hundred thousand wizards in the whole world... and in just one day, the world gains more than two hundred thousand Muggle."
At this rate, every year, the Earth will have an additional population equivalent to the entire country of France.
Arya's words shook all the wizards around the square; the Auror murmured in fear...
"Wizards, my fellow wizards, the Muggle population is growing out of control. They are reproducing faster than Gnome."
However, this planet has limited area and resources, and cannot accommodate so many Muggle.
More and more of them will damage the planet's environment... In fact, they have already severely damaged the planet's environment.
They will also encroach on the wizards' living space, occupy the habitats of Fantastic Beasts, and cause their extinction.
"Within a century, the Muggle population will be completely out of control, leading to the brink of social collapse."
To seize resources, they will wage war, a war more severe than the last two.
Because Muggle possess nuclear weapons capable of destroying everything!
Their ignorance and folly will utterly destroy this planet... and most of us wizards!
"Someone has to step up and stop this war," Arya said seriously. "We need to use some drastic measures to limit the number of Muggle, otherwise the future of wizards... is only death!"
Or perhaps they were casualties of the Muggle Wars.
Arya opened her arms wide, the wind whipping her face and making her red hair fly wildly.
"I came to Paris... not to destroy, but to bring salvation! For the Greater Good!"
Because of salvation, is destruction inevitable?
"You're insane!" Tully's hands trembled.
"Crazy?" Arya repeated, sounding hurt. "Me? I don't think so."
You people, staring at the bottomless abyss before you, yet remaining unmoved and vehemently denying it, are truly insane.
"It's like an ostrich burying its head in the sand when a pride of lions gathers around—that's madness."
"This is no excuse for you to destroy Paris!" Tully said angrily.
He was essentially saying, "You can destroy London, destroy New York, destroy Berlin... why do you have to pick on Paris?"
"William, is what she said true?" Hermione asked in a low voice.
"Yes, the population growth curve is indeed as Arya said." William nodded.
When he transmigrated, the population had already reached over seven billion.
However, the Earth can only support four billion people. The Earth's population is growing, and people's lifespan is increasing, but natural resources are rapidly decreasing.
William frowned. He had initially thought Arya was a Grindelwald who wanted wizards to rule the world.
Unexpectedly... she quit being a wizard and became... a female Thanos!
