The Chosen One of Paris!
Arya left Paris just like that.
The uncontrolled fire dragon Norbert acted Smaug... It roared incessantly in the sky, spewing dragon breath wildly.
"What did Arya just say?!" Hermione exclaimed.
"I don't know!" William shook his head. "She wasn't speaking French just now..."
What language is that?
Egypt!
"Egypt?" Hermione paused for a second.
Having read the Encyclopædia Britannica several times, she asked somewhat uncertainly, "The Egypt speak Arabic, right?"
"That's right, but Arya speaks Ancient Egypt, or more precisely, the almost extinct Pharaoh language," William replied.
"How did you know?" Hermione covered her windblown hair.
"I've heard others say that the pronunciation is very similar to hers." William kept waving the reins, directing the water monster to avoid the flames.
"But Hermione, now is not the time for academic popularization!" he couldn't help but remind her.
"Arya has probably gone to detonate the nuclear bomb. We have at most a few dozen seconds left!"
In those few seconds, they had only two choices: destroy the nuclear bomb, or flee immediately!
William naturally wanted to destroy the nuclear bombs, but the problem was that he didn't know where they were, so he couldn't discuss their destruction.
Choose one of the two.
It seems there's no other choice!
"William, don't go! Give me ten seconds to think!" Hermione said urgently.
William nodded seriously, choosing to trust the girl unconditionally!
Hermione stared at the flying Norbert, then after five seconds, covered her mouth and exclaimed, "I know! I know where Arya hid the nuclear bomb!"
"Where?"
"Inside the dragon!" Hermione shouted. "Arya grabbed Norbert not just to destroy the buildings in Paris."
She hid the nuclear bomb inside Norbert's body. If I were her... I would definitely do the same!
That's right!
William instantly realized that Hermione's guess was correct!
He couldn't believe such an obvious thing, stubbornly insisting that the nuclear bomb was hidden in Notre-Dame de Paris!
William really wanted to give Hermione a passionate kiss!
Yes, of course, it's on behalf of all the people of Paris who are about to be saved... the purest kind, without any ulterior motives.
He couldn't contain his excitement and exclaimed, "Hermione, have I ever told you? You're the smartest witch I've ever met!"
"No," Hermione grinned. "It's not too late to say!"
"Hold me tight!" William said.
Hermione wrapped her arms around William's waist, clinging to him like an octopus.
William grabbed the reins and yanked them sharply, sending the water monster hurtling straight toward the fire dragon at a steep ninety-degree angle.
Its form leaves a straight line, and the wind and rain part.
"How do we stop Norbert!" Hermione asked. "Should we kill him?"
William shook his head.
He didn't have the ability to kill a ten-meter-long fire dragon in just a few dozen seconds.
Even if you kill the fire dragon, the nuclear bomb will still explode; it's pointless.
"I have a better idea," William quickly explained his plan.
Hermione whispered in the boy's ear, "William, have I never told you that you're the smartest wizard I've ever met!"
"No, you can tell me every morning from now on, so I don't forget!"
William still enjoys exchanging compliments with Hermione.
"Pah! You wish!"
Turin is a small city located a bit far from Paris.
Inside a residence in this city, Arya, appearing in Apparition, immediately issued orders.
Seven or eight Ukraine nuclear researchers, controlled by the Imperius Curse, operated various instruments set up inside the room.
"Detonate immediately," Arya commanded.
As the researchers operated the system, it entered automatic control mode, and the countdown began to tick sequentially from thirty seconds.
Notre-Dame Square
The Kelpie flew toward Norbert, continuing to distract him, William grabbed Hermione and Apparition onto Norbert's head.
Hermione pulled out a box, William opened it, and inside was the same juvenile... Basilisk!
William ripped off the Basilisk's eye patch, avoiding its eyes, and forcefully grabbed its tail, hanging it upside down on Norbert's head.
Any creature that catches a glimpse of the Basilisk's eyes will be instantly killed, even the dangerous Acromantula is no exception.
As for juvenile Basilisk, they cannot be killed instantly by eye contact, but will be petrified in an instant!
The Basilisk's petrification is different from the magic "Petrificus Totalus." It's a profound form of Dark Magic that can even affect ghosts.
Its target is the entire organism, from the inside out!
Nuclear explosion is a precise fission process. Since it exists inside the fire dragon's body, it will also be affected by this petrification, thus causing it to fail!
The instant Norbert made eye contact with the Basilisk, its massive body stiffened at a speed visible to the naked eye, starting from its eyes.
William scooped Hermione up in his arms and said softly, "Close your eyes, don't be afraid."
Hermione nodded nervously, but instead of closing her eyes, she wrapped her arms around William's neck and gazed unabashedly at the face so close to hers.
William accelerated for a moment on Norbert's head, and then...
Get up,
A leap of faith!
He grabbed Hermione and jumped off the dragon. They fell more than thirty meters before a rising, swirling current slowed them down.
The monster's enormous body lifted them up, and they soared into the sky once more.
The dark clouds dispersed, leaving only a sliver of cool moonlight filtering through the gaps in the sky and falling precisely on William and Hermione.
"Look!"
Someone shouted, and the wizards in the distance all looked up at the couple bathed in moonlight.
It was as if a god had descended to earth, leaving me in a daze!
The old priest, rescued by the Auror, kissed the Quran, knelt on the ground, and cried out in a heart-wrenching voice, "Buddha... has appeared to us!"
Norbert the fire dragon began to plummet, free-falling through the air.
Figurines are falling from the sky!
Large fire dragon figure!
Unfortunately, no one dared to take the hit; all the wizards hurriedly moved away from the square to avoid being killed by the shockwave!
Bang!
With a deafening roar, the fiery dragon, like a meteorite from the sky, crashed into Notre-Dame Square.
Impacted from a height of tens of meters, a "lake" emerged around the square, its surface twisted and grotesque by the powerful energy, and the deafening roar echoed throughout Paris.
Everyone was waiting for the nuclear bomb to explode.
Five seconds
Ten seconds
Thirty seconds
One minute
Five minutes...
There was no nuclear explosion, but as the dust settled, the ruins of Notre-Dame de Paris were completely gone, leaving a huge crater created by the fire dragon!
The city was safe and sound, and cheers erupted around the square as the Auror embraced each other, celebrating their great victory.
Cregan shoved away the female Auror was leaning in, and hugged Newt tightly, celebrating this wonderful moment.
Newt's eyes darted around as he struggled to sit up. He was anxious; he wanted to check if little Norbert was still breathing!
"We did it!"
Standing on the monster's head, Hermione wrapped her arms around William's neck and said excitedly.
"Yes, Hermione, you saved Paris!" William laughed. "You are the Chosen One of Paris!"
The girl smiled brightly, blinked, and said happily, "It wasn't me, it was both of us!"
Hermione's forehead was pressed against William's, their noses lightly touching, and she could feel the warmth of the boy's breath.
Hermione stared into those dark green eyes, less than a centimeter apart, and suddenly her eyelashes trembled and her breathing became rapid.
The girl mustered her courage, tilted her head back, and closed her watery eyes.
William gazed at Hermione's flushed cheeks, which were almost dripping with moisture, then wrapped his arms around the girl's slender waist, leaned down, and kissed her lips deeply.
The two embraced tightly, as if they wanted to melt into the moonlight.
