The Goblet of Fire!
A dragon's roar rose from the depths of the earth, as if from ancient times.
The sound was heard throughout Venice.
Centered on St Mark's Square, the ground trembled slightly, and ripples spread outwards from the sea.
Like the eve of a tsunami.
The rain poured down, turning from large raindrops into continuous streams of water... as if someone had hung the river upside down in the sky!
Countless Apparition wizards appeared in St Mark's Square.
All the officials from the Italy Ministry of Magic came.
Even the cardinals from the Vatican next door have been mobilized!
The bishops arrived at the border between the two countries in just one minute and were trying to observe the situation!
Of course, that's a euphemism.
To put it bluntly: It took them a minute to walk out of St Peter's Square's Square and stand on the west bank of the Tiber River in Rome to look around.
Therefore, having a smaller country has its advantages.
A casual stroll led me to the border, giving me a somber feeling.
The cardinal looked towards Venice with a worried expression.
What's going on?
Could there have been a tsunami in the Mediterranean Sea?!
Italy... secretly developed nuclear weapons?!
Lord!
It would be best to send a great flood to drown these wicked Italy.
The Vatican can seize this opportunity to reclaim its lost territories and restore the glory of the Papal States!
Then... they marched north, annihilated the prodigal sons of France, crushed the heretics of England, kicked the Russia barbarians, and completely unified Europe.
He held the Bible, lost in fantasies of a better future.
He stumbled and fell into the Tiber River.
"Help! His Holiness the bishop has fallen into the river!"
St Mark's Square
Brynden Hewen, the Italy Ministry of Magic, stood solemnly among the wizards.
He glanced worriedly at the heavy rain, his voice icy as he asked, "Where is Secretary General Martell?"
"I don't know, Minister!" a young wizard shook his head and replied.
"Mr. Martell caught the witch who stole the Goblet of Fire, took her away at dawn, and her whereabouts are now unknown."
"Disappeared without a trace?!"
Minister Hewen frowned and looked at another wizard.
Have all the Muggle in St Mark's Square been moved away?
"Sir, there are too many Muggle..."
"Send out all available wizards, and deploy the large magic ships! I want you to save the Muggle at all costs!" Hewen raised his voice.
"Yes!"
Just as Minister Hewen gave the order, the water level was already rising rapidly at a visible speed.
The river overflowed St Mark's Square and headed towards St Mark's Basilica.
The wizard stood on the bank and used magic to block the river, buying time for the Muggle to be evacuated.
The St Mark's Campanile, after being rebuilt, has stood for another ninety years.
At that moment, the enormous clock tower collapsed suddenly, like tofu on a chopping board.
In the blink of an eye, all the wizards near the square could hear was the jarring noise of wood and stone.
The wizards were dumbfounded. Was it a quality issue, or Muggle carrying out an explosion?
Or rather... was it done by a wizard?
Nobody knows, not even the Minister for Magic, Hewen.
He only vaguely remembered that the clock tower had once collapsed.
"Hurry up!" he roared. "Time waits for no one!"
Venice is going to be flooded!
Deep in the lagoon,
William and Hermione's feelings were more profound than those of the Italy wizard on the shore.
With that roar, the underground lagoon rippled.
It's like a glass filled with water, the whole glass shaking violently.
William and Hermione, who were in the water, were no exception.
They even have to endure the pressure of water flowing from all directions due to inertia.
Without William needing to remind her, the experienced Hermione had already taken out a rope and skillfully tied the two of them tightly together to prevent them from being separated by the current.
They were clearly moving downstream, but suddenly an invisible force lifted them up and made them float upwards.
William's wand lit up, but the light only illuminated his side. The deeper part of the lake was like a dark abyss, completely opaque.
Hermione pondered for a moment, then suddenly remembered something and took a Goblin Gems from the Safety Watch.
The gemstone, capable of absorbing starlight, emits a dazzling brilliance in deep water.
The light pierced through the darkness, finally illuminating the scene deep within the lake.
But what they saw horrified them!
A colossal object hurtled straight towards them. The water surged upwards at breakneck speed because of it.
The colossal creature had its wings spread wide, a ferocious head, white scales, and a pair of golden eyes.
William had seen dragons and even killed them.
But even the most dangerous Hungarian Horntail is only fifteen or sixteen meters long.
This is already the most ferocious of Magical Creatures.
But this white dragon that attacked was over a hundred meters long.
Is that a dragon?!
Compared to this, the so-called Hungarian Horntail and Ukrainian Ironbelly are more like flying lizards.
Or rather... a stunted dwarf dinosaur?
The white dragon swept over with unparalleled speed and force.
William, accompanied by Hermione, Apparition and appeared in the water further out.
Hermione hurriedly put away the jewels, attempting to conceal their location.
But Bai Long had already spotted the two of them, and a hint of human-like mockery appeared in his large golden eyes.
Without slowing down at all, it simply raised its tail and swept across with its massive dragon tail.
William waved his wand, his slightly bent arm instantly straightened, and he thrust his palm forward, creating ripples in front of him.
In an instant, William summoned a large round water mirror, which stood in front of him and Hermione.
The mirror-like surface shimmered, with shimmering, magical green water ripples spreading across it.
The enormous tail Cleansweep and slammed into the water mirror.
The blows were like the beating of a drum, and the water mirror in the lake exploded with a piercing sound.
Surprisingly, the water mirror was incredibly sturdy. Despite the impact, it didn't shatter. However, the tail managed to dent the center of the mirror.
The two were sent flying backwards.
William held Hermione in his arms, spinning her around in the water like a top. He waved his wand, stirring up the water around him to create the illusion of him drinking, thus slowing him down.
The white dragon roared, and William and Hermione's eardrums vibrated violently.
This sound is so potent that even covering your ears is futile; it still rings like a tolling bell.
Water gathered in its mouth, and the next second, it gushed out, heading straight for the two who were still slowing down.
The white dragon cannot breathe fire, but it can use the power of water. Therefore, it is invincible in water.
The white dragon ignored the two doomed young wizards and continued swimming towards the surface.
It's just a small bug; if it's blocking your way, just kill it without lifting a finger.
The water flowed rapidly, like a torrential downpour from the sky.
William was like a traveler braving the wind; since he couldn't avoid the strong wind, he would grit his teeth and brave it.
His body surged with magic as he tried his best to maintain the dented water mirror. But in an instant, it was shattered into pieces, bursting into countless water droplets.
The water droplets didn't disperse; they gathered in front of him, creating another mirror.
After it shattered, a third mirror began to form.
William, holding Hermione, plummeted downwards; his face was somewhat pale.
Each time he condenses the water mirror, it consumes a large amount of his magic power. His magic power is already more than that of an average adult wizard, but it is still limited.
The power of the water flow seemed inexhaustible, constantly crashing against the water mirror, the shattering sounds and vibrations resembling a mountain collapsing and the earth splitting.
If this continues, they will only be crushed to death by the water flow.
William prepared to Apparition with Hermione and return to St Mark's Square.
Suddenly, a blue-white flame shot out from his wrist.
Flames, like thousands of slender Fire Serpent, swam and spread across his and Hermione's bodies.
William felt the pressure around him instantly lessen.
"What kind of magic is this?" Hermione asked loudly.
"It's not my magic..."
William seemed to understand something, and he took a wooden box from the Safety Watch.
The smooth wooden box had exquisite hinges with rough textured lines.
He's been carrying the wooden box that held the fake Goblet of Fire with him since yesterday.
William opened the lid and saw a rough wooden goblet inside the box, with blue and white flames dancing within.
Just by looking at the flames, William knew... this was the real Goblet of Fire!
The Holy Grail has always been in his hands!
William suddenly realized.
"It was Trene, she put it there last night... When I was repairing the ship, she borrowed the fake Goblet of Fire, saying she wanted to look at it for a while," William explained softly.
Hermione looked up and murmured:
"The flood will engulf the sky, the Holy Grail will burn at the bottom of the tomb. In the depths of the phoenix's rebirth, the lagoon will not reflect the stars."
The two were located below the governor's tomb, in the underground lagoon of the Phoenix Opera House, which was also dark and could not reflect the stars.
Death's guidance was absolutely correct.
They simply misunderstood.
The Goblet of Goblet of Fire was not always located beneath the lagoon in St Mark's Square.
During their chase, the two "voluntarily" brought the Holy Grail here.
William and Hermione simultaneously raised the Holy Grail high.
The flames flickered, like hundreds of slender white snakes simultaneously flicking their tongues, frantically resisting the impact of the water flow.
For a moment, the underwater world was as bright as day!
