Hagrid, You Really Are a Beast!
In the first lesson, Professor Moody gave everyone a comprehensive demonstration of the Unforgivable Curses.
In 1717, the three major curses were designated as Unforgivable Curses by the Ministry of Magic, and they have been in existence for over two hundred years.
In the hearts of all wizards, they are a taboo existence, like a dark, swirling vortex, attracting everyone to explore and delve deeper.
Mysterious and frightening.
Therefore, many students were very excited, staring at Professor Moody with fascination. It was as if they were looking at a beautiful young woman, and they couldn't wait to receive his special training that night.
At least William's roommates, Bradley and Marcus, both wore this complicated expression.
The thought that during the time loop, the two of them slept in the same bed for years... the special training was definitely fake; fencing was more likely the real reason.
Professor Moody is certainly very knowledgeable, but one thing is undeniable: what he teaches is specifically for Auror training and is completely beyond the scope of what young wizards are taught.
At least the OWLs exam doesn't require it; only the Death Eaters entrance exam and the Azkaban prison guide require it.
This is like your teacher giving you a long lecture before the college entrance exam next year, but the core message is just one thing:
You're all just test-takers; that won't work, it's useless.
Then, they take you to learn about space computers. In the end, you make money, but you also go bald, but it has nothing to do with exams or certificates.
Few students realize this yet; everyone is hopelessly addicted to the Unforgivable Curses.
It seems that as long as we learn how to deal with it, we can beat Voldemort and kick Little Tom tomorrow.
In a way, this year's fifth graders will definitely be badly let down by Moody's. Or rather, they'll be let down by the principal.
Just as unreliable as Moody was Hagrid; William listened to Hermione complaining during lunch.
"Those Blast-Ended Skrewt are small now, but once Hagrid figures out what they like to eat, they'll grow to six feet long in no time."
Hermione looked at William with expectant eyes and lowered her voice:
"The wisest course of action is to nip them in the Blast-Ended Skrewt before they attack us."
You don't want to see yet another colony of Acromantula, do you?
William took a bite of the lamb chop. "Isn't the Acromantula good?"
Not only is it a treasure trove of resources, but its meat is also delicious and an important source of income for William and his men.
He didn't say those words aloud, of course. After a moment's hesitation, he said, "You mean... you want me to sneak out in the middle of the night and kill those Blast-Ended Skrewt?"
"Is that not allowed? I can go with you!"
Hermione's eyes flashed with determination, as if she wanted to nip the danger in the bud.
Her foresight was correct. The Acromantula was tiny back then, but after fifty years of development, it has grown to a tremendous size.
"Let's stay in the Room of Requirement until midnight, then sneak out," Hermione suggested. "We won't be caught."
"But... is the Blast-Ended Skrewt really that ugly? You used to think Fluffy was good-looking," William said hesitantly.
He really didn't want to kill Hagrid's little darling unless absolutely necessary. Of course, the dragon Norbert was an exception.
"Ugly... uglier than the Little Black Robe." Hermione picked up William's cup, took a sip of red tea, and tried to calm herself down.
"And they're dangerous and disgusting... You've never seen them before. Once you do, you'll definitely want to kill them!"
"..."
"That won't do. Hagrid can breed the first batch, he can breed the second batch too." William shook his head.
"To stop Hagrid, we must first kill the Manticore and the Fire Crab. The Blast-Ended Skrewt is a hybrid of them."
"The Manticore so dangerous, Hagrid must have hidden it in the Forbidden Forest."
He whispered in William's ear, "Fire Kiss definitely knows where it is. Let's go ask her."
"... Hermione already considered this?"
In fact, after knowing Hermione for so many years, William has discovered one thing: she's always right.
During Friday's Care of Magical Creatures, when William first saw the Blast-Ended Skrewt, he immediately experienced physical and psychological discomfort, just as Hermione had predicted.
Just moments before, Qiu had been enthusiastically praising the deliciousness of boiled sea snails to him, but now she covered her mouth and exclaimed, "Disgusting!"
Eloise screamed, jumped back a few steps, and immediately moved away from the Blast-Ended Skrewt.
Those Blast-Ended Skrewt have a unique appearance, resembling deformed, shelled lobsters. They are white-gray and slimy, and look quite terrifying.
Many feet were sticking out haphazardly, and the heads were nowhere to be seen.
The Blast-Ended Skrewt were all kept in boxes, with about a hundred in each box. They were about eight inches long and were crawling around on top of each other.
They slumped against the box wall, emitting a very strong smell of rotten fish and shrimp.
William restrained himself from taking the wand and burning them all.
This is what Hagrid meant by "cute, can I pet him?"
William has really lowered his standards, using the looks of Fluffy and the Acromantula to sketch and imagine the Blast-Ended Skrewt.
But these ugly things in front of me... are completely pushing the wizard's physical limits.
No wonder Hagrid looked down on Madame Maxime and seemed unwilling to get to know her when William mentioned her.
Hagrid's aesthetic sense is different from that of normal people; he can't appreciate a beauty like Maxime's.
"They've been hatching for a few days now. Look at these little cuties, how fast they've grown!" Hagrid said with pride.
"You can raise them yourselves! Experience the joy of parenthood."
Everyone looked disgusted, especially the girls.
William often cuts off Bobocha's snacks in order to help it lose weight. So Boba goes around acting cute in front of the female students.
The girls all knew William's cat, so they stroked Bobocha's head and called it its mom, while William was its dad.
But Bobocha was clearly different from the Blast-Ended Skrewt. They were all glaring at Hagrid, ready to pounce on him.
Who has such an ugly child!
It seems that even virtual pet ownership depends on the pet's appearance.
"We'll just feed them today; you should try feeding them a few different things," Hagrid said.
"The third-grade students have figured out that they don't like ant eggs and frog livers... Let's try something different this time..."
But the students were all scrambling for the ant eggs and frog livers, seemingly prepared to starve the Blast-Ended Skrewt.
William searched for a long time but couldn't find the mouth of the Blast-Ended Skrewt.
It was eventually discovered that they ate and excreted in the same place.
Inside the wooden box, there was virtually no feces from the Blast-Ended Skrewt.
As soon as one Blast-Ended Skrewt "spits out" its droppings, a group of Blast-Ended Skrewt rush over and frantically scramble to eat them.
They were screaming and fighting, seemingly fighting over something delicious.
Fang watched anxiously from the side, barking softly, as if she wanted to taste the saltiness herself.
William immediately thought of capybaras.
Capybara feces are particularly delicious and nutritious, and many animals enjoy eating them.
Furthermore, capybara feces are very high in protein, with crude protein accounting for about 15%.
Slightly lower than beef.
Moreover, food becomes even more delicious after slight fermentation in the stomach.
Therefore, some Americas don't eat capybaras, but instead wait to eat their feces.
After all, there's a difference between being full at one meal and being full at every other meal.
Surprisingly, the feces of the Blast-Ended Skrewt are edible.
It looks like it's eating, but it's actually cooking.
Not only can the Blast-Ended Skrewt be used in cooking, but it also has a variety of attack methods.
Every now and then, the tail would shoot out sparks, followed by a series of soft popping sounds, and the Blast-Ended Skrewt would advance a few inches.
William seemed to see the birth of a perpetual motion machine.
The tail of the Blast-Ended Skrewt explodes, propelling its body forward. Feed it when it's hungry; it'll just eat and vomit, then eat again.
However, it was also dangerous. After more than ten minutes, McLaggen suddenly screamed in pain.
Its tail exploded and hurt me!
McLaggen said angrily, showing Hagrid a burn mark on his hand.
"You went to steal its poop, of course you'd get attacked!" Hagrid shouted. "Don't eat that poop! It's not Chocolate Frog!"
McLaggen's face turned bright red. "I didn't eat it, I just wanted to pick it up and take a look!"
But nobody believed him.
William, carrying the task Hermione had given him, approached Hagrid and asked in a low voice.
"Hagrid, where did you put the Manticore?"
"Restating in a cave in the Forbidden Forest," Hagrid said with a smile, stroking his unkempt beard.
"Ellie has been working so hard lately. It took me sixty Fire Crab to get her pregnant... seven babies in one mother... It was so exhausting."
"..."
Sixty live crabs, and a Manticore?
Hagrid, you're a real beast!
