William's Zeal for Education
Bang!
Before William could even knock, the wooden door bearing the Beauxbatons logo was quickly opened.
A group of female students from Beauxbatons came out.
William and Autumn assumed they were heading to the castle, so they stepped aside slightly.
But to everyone's surprise, the group of beautiful young ladies, after jumping off the carriage, did not leave.
Instead, they surrounded William, seemingly preparing to launch an attack.
William touches his wand; if surrounded, he'll unleash a killing spree and violently subdue these young ladies.
Instead of attacking, they whispered among themselves.
Go ask him!
"No, you go!"
"I'll go," one of the girls, who looked quite bold, said as she pushed open the door and walked in.
She has big, dark eyes, a prominent chin, and long, jet-black hair.
"Hello, William, I'm Elena, Elena Anna." She introduced herself in Knut English.
"Is there something you need?"
William smiled and said in French, "Yes, I'm looking for Phoebe. Is she in? Gabrielle will do too."
The group of girls were talking to each other with their heads down.
"You can speak French?" Elena laughed. "Phoebe isn't here, you can tell me what's wrong!"
We can find a secluded spot to talk slowly... I heard there's a beautiful reed bed Black Lake.
You've only been here a few days, and all you know is the famous reed marshes of Hogwarts?
"Actually, I'm looking for Madame Maxime."
William was experienced in dealing with girls like this, so he made up a story. "Dumbledore sent me to find her about the Champion."
"Hey, Rose, could you go see Madame Maxime? Just tell her I'm looking for her."
Rose was staring intently at William in the crowd, lost in thought. When he asked her a question, she remained oblivious.
William waved his hand in front of the girl's eyes, and she finally came to her senses, so ashamed that she wanted to disappear into the ground.
William repeated, "Could you help me find Maxime?"
She bit her lip and nodded, saying, "I'll go call them right away!"
William smiled gently and said, "Thank you, no need to rush."
Although the woman nodded vigorously, she still turned and ran away, clearly ignoring his words.
The witches started chatting with William again. He was a seasoned veteran and could easily handle these little admirers.
Laughter and cheers erupted from the crowd.
Qiu, who had been pushed to the side, couldn't understand French.
But seeing William chatting so enthusiastically with the group of girls, he still clicked his tongue twice and said, not too loudly, "..."
"Scumbag..."
William's lips twitched, and he quickly turned to Cho, saying, "I'm discussing business! When we get back, don't tell Hermione anything."
Qiu simply scoffed and snorted, "Do you often take Ced with you when you're doing business?"
"No way, he's the one who took me there!" William immediately shifted the blame.
"Last time he said he'd take me to a foot massage parlor... yes, the one run by Merpeople, it got shut down last semester."
This tactic of sacrificing eight hundred of your own to kill a thousand of the enemy... often achieves a surprising effect.
As expected, Cho stopped mentioning reporting William to Hermione and instead muttered about the Merpeople Mermaid.
Sorry, bro! But... my safety is more important.
William observed a second of silence in Cedric's memory.
Rose returned quickly, and under her guidance, William and Autumn got into the carriage.
This wasn't William's first time in this carriage; he'd come in with Phoebe during the Quidditch World Cup.
Of course, we came secretly... to avoid being discovered by Maxime.
Footsteps echoed in the marble corridor, and the three quickly reached the end, where a beam of light poured from the room into the corridor.
"William, I'll head back now; we still have class." Rose said, her face flushed.
Hmm... so you guys all skipped class.
Rose twisted the hem of her dress, bowed her head, and said, "Next time, if anything happens... you can come to me."
"Okay, I'll ask you to help me find Madame Maxime next time."
"..."
After saying goodbye to Rose, William and Cho went into the room.
This is a spacious, square room, with dark wood used for both the floor and ceiling.
Tall bookshelves lined the walls, filled with books.
There was also a huge, antique-style writing desk, with a large Italy high-end Château Lac grandfather clock standing on one side.
"William, what brings you here?" A woman's voice came from the other end of the room.
Madame Maxime came over and sat down on the sofa.
She picked up an exquisitely carved wine bottle, poured herself a glass of red wine, and then poured one for William and another for Qiu.
"The wines from the Rose Manor, my favorite." She winked.
William held the wine glass and slowly brought it to his lips.
It must be said that Madame Maxime was a very charming witch, and it's quite normal that Hagrid liked her.
However... the gap between the two sides is quite large.
Hagrid was almost unkempt and even lived in a small cabin. Maxime certainly couldn't stand that kind of life.
Maxime also peered through the rim of his cup at William, waiting for the young wizard to speak first.
"Professor, are your students about to start class?" he finally asked.
"Of course I have to go to class." Maxime swirled his cup.
The students she brought were mostly sixth and seventh graders.
Unlike Beauxbatons, at Hogwarts, the O. W. L. exams begin in sixth grade. Students then prepare for the NEWTs exams in seventh grade.
"Don't you find it a bit inconvenient?" William asked with a smile.
"It's really inconvenient," Maxime said softly.
"In fact, Hogwarts has the best teaching staff... such as the outstanding Yao Lao, Professor Snape."
He was kind and approachable, rigorous in his teaching, and fair in his dealings with students, consistently achieving the highest pass rate for many years. He was Harry Potter's favorite professor.
And then there's the great prophet Professor Trelawney... everyone knows she's won many bets on the Quidditch World Cup.
Professor Binns, the History of Magic, is unparalleled throughout history... No student in his class ever spoke out of turn.
There's also Hagrid, a Magizoologist, who was an expert in hybridization and breeding.
Moody... a former Auror, though somewhat cautious, his magical prowess should not be underestimated.
Muggle Studies Professor Burbage... Nuclear Weapons - Fireworks Expert.
For some reason, the more examples William gave, the more he felt that Hogwarts was... hopeless.
"You didn't bring many students; you should have enrolled them in their O. W. Ls and NEWTs classes."
"But... many students don't speak English." Maxime, unaware of the situation, shook his head.
That's the key issue.
Most students at Beauxbatons don't speak English. Someone as good as Phoebe is simply nonexistent.
Most of them don't speak English as well as Gabrielle.
"That's simple, you just need a translator," William said.
"A translation machine?" Maxime had never heard of such a thing before.
"Yes, Muggle invented translation machines decades ago that can translate between multiple languages."
"But I remember that Muggle items can't be used at Hogwarts, right?" Maxime asked, puzzled.
Hogwarts has magical interference that renders any electronic device ineffective.
"I'm not talking about Muggle translator, but a magical translator I created." William shook his head.
The Wizarding World has many things, such as magical tape recorders... which are different from Muggle tape recorders and don't use electricity.
These things can be used at school, and you can also listen to the radio.
The translator was the same; it was an alchemical artifact created by William based on Nicolas's Book of Alchemy.
Nicolas himself didn't need a translator. He lived for over six hundred years and spoke most of the world's languages.
But William desperately needed this. The initial reason was that he needed to understand Parseltongue.
That's right, William recorded Harry's voice before and used it to hypnotize the Basilisk.
Later, I found it too troublesome, so I thought of making Parseltongue translator.
Nicolas's Book of Alchemy, in its first volume, contains the methods for making all the alchemical items that have ever appeared in the Wizarding World.
William found the process of making the magic translator on it.
"You can make things like this?" Maxime asked in surprise.
"That's right, Akali's Mystery Shop's purpose is to change the Wizarding World," William said earnestly.
He wasn't lying. The Wizarding World is too backward. William and Nicolas together could advance the Wizarding World by five hundred years.
"This thing must be expensive, right?" Maxime hesitated like a country bumpkin.
"Yes, but learning a foreign language... how can you be afraid of the cost?"
"If Durmstrang needs it, I'll charge 100 Galleon a day, but you guys... I don't want any money."
"Then what do you want?" Madame Maxime raised her eyebrows.
"I hope to give me a few outstanding graduating students to form a tutoring group every night, providing free tutoring to fifth-grade students."
"An O. W. Ls exam?" Madame Maxime chuckled. "That's quite a clever idea."
"Madam, this is a mutually beneficial arrangement," William waved his hand.
"You can use our school's resources for free; I don't think Headmaster Dumbledore will refuse."
"Besides, it's just a tutoring class. Each person only teaches one evening a week, so it won't take up much time," William said.
"Alright." Maxime nodded.
William smiled.
How much should he charge for his intensive tutoring classes?
Since teachers don't charge fees, it's all free money for them.
Alas, William was just too enthusiastic about Hogwarts ' educational cause.
