The Mysterious Witch
William had experienced the power of that trident firsthand.
He was in second grade when he first encountered it, and he went through a time loop.
He is capable, but his strength is limited.
So, the inexperienced newbie, encountering a seasoned female driver, could only flee in disarray.
They also smashed the Slytherin dome, causing the common room to be flooded.
The second time I encountered it was during Care of Magical Creatures last year.
William found that counterattack much easier, and with the help of the Thunderbird's lightning, he easily defeated his opponent.
Of course, the two users of the trident were different.
Can the Merpeople's crude skills compare to those of the old clan chief?
However, one thing is undeniable: the trident is a very powerful legendary magical item, possessing the power to control water.
Especially in water, that power is amplified dramatically.
William even suspected that it might also be a Deathly Hallows, similar to the legendary Elder Wand.
But ultimately, it all comes down to this: the extent of its power depends on the user.
Professor Flitwick, a renowned contemporary magic critic who enjoyed discussing wizards over wine and was known as the "Wang Yuyan of the Wizarding World," once drunkenly pulled William aside and said:
"Even a casual ' Expelliarmus ' attack from a high-ranking wizard can withstand an ordinary wizard's Avada Kedavra."
This may be an exaggeration, but a salted fish is a salted fish; even if it flips over, it won't become sweet and sour fish.
Therefore, William was confident that he could stop a Merpeople princess wielding a trident.
He held Hermione's slender waist, which could be encircled with one hand, and gently twirled his wand with his other hand, laughing:
"Merpeople Princess, your current behavior has seriously disrupted the normal proceedings of the Triwizard Tournament."
I'll just give you one piece of advice: don't make a mistake for yourself.
Moreover, Cedric prefers boys to women; his darling is Walton, whom he holds in his arms.
You should give up on that idea!
Cedric, who had been moved, nearly vomited blood upon hearing William's assertive words.
He tricked Krum before, but unexpectedly, he was tricked by William in the blink of an eye.
Isn't this ruining his reputation?
You yourself hold the title of Hogwarts's First Sea King, and you still want to drag me down with you?
But Cedric couldn't really argue with that, so he could only grit his teeth and say, somewhat resentfully, "That's right, I like boys!"
Cho Chang stared at Cedric with her mouth agape in shock.
Cedric felt incredibly bitter admitting he was gay in front of his goddess.
He really wanted to stab William in the back.
The merman princess tilted her head back and said sharply, "I don't care! Even if you like men, I'm going to straighten you out."
She raised her trident, and the lake water around her churned as if boiling.
With a flick of the silver weapon, a large amount of seaweed instantly twisted into a huge arc, like Scorpion Kick, and shot fiercely towards the gondola.
Hermione slipped into the cabin, lightly pressed the accelerator, and the entire ship slid backward rapidly.
William stood on the top of the ship, and with a sudden movement of his right hand, several water blades shot out from the tip of his wand.
The rushing seaweed was completely shattered.
The Merpeople princess muttered to herself, then suddenly swung her trident downwards.
A column of water rose from the bottom of the lake, like a dragon drawing water, carrying a large amount of silt, and crashed towards William.
William narrowed his eyes, raised his wand, and twisted his fingers slightly.
With a wave of the wand, a large amount of lake water was drawn in by a powerful magical force.
Standing proudly atop the ship, he remained composed, silently reciting, "Water Tornado."
A particularly thick Water Tornado rolled and surged in front of him, gliding and swirling freely, before cascading down like a silver river and piercing the column of water.
Two powerful and vast magical forces collided with a resounding crash.
The water column's onslaught abruptly halted, and the Water Tornado raged wildly, tearing a long slit in the column.
Then the entire column of water exploded one by one from top to bottom.
The magic that William invented first was already fully developed in terms of its destructive power.
It not only incorporates advanced Transfiguration but also offensive magic from Ancient Runes.
Snap!
William disappeared from the spot.
The Merpeople princess shook her long tail, and standing on the Hippocampus, she quickly slid backward.
William appeared in Apparition to one side, and before anyone knew it, a longsword had appeared in his left hand, which he slashed down with.
The Merpeople princess spun her hands, and the trident, like a bamboo dragonfly, stirred up the murky lake water, splashing towards William.
William raised his longsword, attempting to block the magical object of unknown material.
However, he still underestimated its hidden power; upon touching it, his body was suddenly thrown back.
William gripped his sword with both hands and plunged it hard into the back of the Hippocampus, slowing it down. His feet splashed up countless droplets of water.
A thunderous roar echoed across Black Lake, sending chills down everyone's spines.
A writhing Hagrid, whipping his massive fishtail, slammed it down on William's head.
The gondola appeared out of nowhere on one side.
Without hesitation, Hermione accelerated, slamming the bow of the boat into the fish's tail, forcing it to veer to one side.
The small boat capsized several times in the lake before Hermione managed to stabilize it.
The small boat, engraved with numerous Ancient Runes protective runes, suffered little damage to its hull except for its bow being flattened inwards.
The Merpeople chased after the small boat, Hermione drifting with ease, the pointed stern of the boat splashing water in the process.
At this moment, William had already abandoned his longsword and walked towards the Merpeople princess.
She used the same trick again, throwing the trident at him.
William learned his lesson once, but he won't repeat it.
He Apparition again, waved his wand, and a beam of blue light shot out.
The Merpeople Mermaid stumbled and collapsed to the ground, clutching her chest with both hands, her face pale.
William wouldn't show her any mercy; that's Cedric's business.
With a gentle tap of his wand, the Merpeople princess, whose forehead had been struck hard, was sent flying backward, nearly plunging into the lake.
However, William still kept his options to himself.
If this person really does become his sister-in-law one day, he won't be able to say anything.
William picked up the trident and held it gently in his hand.
It feels icy cold to the touch, like an ice cube.
The Merpeople Mermaid vomited a mouthful of blood, clearly no longer possessing her previous energy and spirit, and said dejectedly:
"It's bound to the Merpeople by a pact; you can't take it away from the Black Lake, nor can you use it!"
Don't even dream about it...
But before she could finish speaking, she was slapped in the face when the trident suddenly shone brightly, like a bright moon.
William was startled; he hadn't done anything.
A thought struck him, as if he remembered something, and he waved his wand.
Safety Watch,
Hermione's room.
The six Goblin Gems she had hidden in the box emitted a starlight-like light. Then, the diamonds broke open the box and flew out.
William grasped the six jewels, then suddenly looked up to see a huge vortex that had appeared above him.
A woman emerged from the center of the vortex, her gaze falling directly on the trident, and then on the jewel.
Finally, he looked at William.
The corners of his mouth turned up.
