Whether Britain Falls into Chaos Is Up to William
The battle for public opinion has always been important and necessary.
With good publicity, a large number of neutral or even hesitant wizards can be lured to their side.
Indeed, based on the views of some members of the Order of the Phoenix, concessions were made... Once a concession was made, there would be a second and a third, until there was nowhere left to retreat.
With no way to retreat, allowing Fudge to slander them will only result in a situation where thousands of people curse and tens of thousands criticize them.
After all, public opinion can be guided, and the masses are prone to blind obedience and being easily swayed.
In the end, everyone will see the Order of the Phoenix as a bunch of liars.
This benefits Voldemort, allowing him to prepare at his leisure.
By then, the Order of the Phoenix had already missed its initial advantage and suffered unwarranted public criticism.
Even if the public regrets it, what good will it do?
Fudge wants to be the leader of the cult of backstabbing, so the Order of the Phoenix should stab him in the back twice; that's the right thing to do.
William explained in detail the importance of public opinion.
A more comprehensive and insightful statement was presented:
Come from the masses, go back to the masses, never separate yourself from the masses, and never fight alone against Death Eaters!
Tonks is indeed William's henchman; he'll do anything for money.
She immediately followed up, "How should we conduct public opinion campaigns?"
"Yes, Minister Fudge will warn those newspapers," Mr. Weasley said worriedly.
"The Daily Prophet has stopped mentioning the Triwizard Tournament, as if it never happened."
William held up a finger and shook it, saying, "People still don't understand the media's way of doing things."
"Take the Daily Prophet. It's not an official publication, and it doesn't care about the Ministry of Magic's opinion; it's more about... sales."
William scoffed:
"To put it simply, as long as there are enough sensational news stories, as long as they can boost newspaper sales, they will report on any news without any moral boundaries."
Reporters always want to make a big story!
"Just look at Rita and you'll see." William began to lash out at his top-notch secret agent.
"Her reports were always unsubstantiated and often far from the truth, yet the Daily Prophet still published them, didn't it?"
Because readers love it, it can boost sales.
All they want is traffic; even negative publicity is still publicity.
William looked around and said confidently:
"Voldemort has been resurrected... What great news! Once it breaks and there's clear evidence, what kind of sales figures will that generate?"
All the wizards bought newspapers, wanting to see what was going on.
William chuckled and said, "Minister Fudge will certainly put pressure on us."
However, the Daily Prophet is the country's largest-circulation newspaper, so it has a certain degree of resilience.
"Of course." His eyes were sharp. "If the Daily Prophet can't withstand the pressure and is unwilling to report, there are plenty of other newspapers in the country."
Some are newspapers, willing to take risks for money.
William tapped the table and said seriously, "Abroad."
France and Italy are not under the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom Ministry of Magic.
"The Chief Justice of the France Ministry of Justice, Cregan, and the Minister of Italy Ministry of Magic, Hewen, are both my friends; they will help."
William chuckled and said, "Even if Fudge doesn't admit it, the flames of this information war will soon spread from Paris to Rome, and eventually burn across all of Europe."
At that point, he won't have a choice but to admit it!
William's words left all the wizards present stunned.
Holy crap... you can do that?!
We're thinking of setting up an underground organization, with the Ministry of Magic as the main force, and us launching surprise attacks... William's words sound like he's planning to overthrow the violent Ministry of Magic and establish a separate official agency?
Will Minister Fudge end up on the guillotine?
Hmm, this plot sounds so familiar.
"Alright, I'll leave this to you, William," Dumbledore nodded.
"Hermione and I will do our best to complete this task," William said.
He and Hermione have already come up with a comprehensive plan.
This propaganda campaign aims to unify the understanding of the United Kingdom wizards, making them understand who the real enemy is.
Defeating Fudge wasn't enough; they also needed to seize control of the Ministry of Magic, consolidate all forces, and eliminate Voldemort.
Only in this way can we free up our resources to deal with Little Tom from United States and Arya from Egypt.
William has received news from Professor Babbling that Little Tom has been resurrected and returned to United States.
He even joined the Scourers, seemingly hoping to use their influence to secretly expand his own power.
We were too far away to help him; there was simply no time to deal with him.
Besides, United Kingdom is still in chaos; internal stability must come before external threats. William must at least accomplish one thing:
Whether United Kingdom is in chaos or not, William has the final say!
"Professor, are you still coming to Austria with us tomorrow?" he asked again.
"No, I've made time to catch up with some old friends."
Since he didn't need to attend the International Confederation of Wizards Conference, Dumbledore changed his plans.
Fudge was indeed disgusting, and he didn't tell Dumbledore about it.
We're just waiting for him to go to Austria, and then, because he's been disqualified, he won't be able to speak at the conference.
Fortunately, William had received the intelligence in advance and informed the professor about it.
"Principal, they can't take away your position as president!" McGonagall shouted angrily.
"I don't care what they do as long as they don't remove me from the Chocolate Frog cards," Dumbledore a nonchalant smile.
The only pity is that... this conference was held in Austria.
Dumbledore deliberately chose that spot, even though he wouldn't go to see his "old friend," a quick glance from the outskirts of Nurmengard would suffice.
It seems there's no chance.
Dumbledore looked at Snape and asked:
What is Voldemort doing?
Like McGonagall, Snape pulled out a thick stack of documents and whispered:
"Just as you guessed before, he wants to regroup his men," Snape said.
"He is actively contacting some Pure-blood families; he wants to expand the Death Eaters ' reach."
He has already dispatched a group of wizards to make contact with Giant, Werewolf, and vampires.
He was also facilitating contact between Death Eaters and Gringotts Goblin.
"Oh dear, perhaps the Goblin will side with him. Ludo made it clear to me that he has no money to pay Gringotts back," Mr. Weasley said.
"What conditions did Voldemort offer Gringotts?" Lupin asked.
"I don't know," Snape glanced at him dismissively, "But it's definitely not gold."
William fell into deep thought.
Because of Ludo Bagman's deadbeat behavior, the Goblin harbor resentment towards wizards and even believe it's a conspiracy by the Ministry of Magic.
Therefore, the Order of the Phoenix's contact with the Goblin did not go smoothly.
Goblin have already fought wars with wizards; what if they betray us again and side with Voldemort?
He keeps all his million Galleon in Gringotts.
It seems I need to take some time to transfer my assets.
Of course, it would be best if the Goblin joined Voldemort... otherwise, what reason would William have to interfere in Gringotts in the future?
