The House of Habsburg
Vienna
Heroes' Square.
A young couple was looking up at the two equestrian statues of military leaders in the center of the square.
Prince Eugene and Archduke Carl.
William had indeed heard of Archduke Carl.
This outstanding Austria general was a renowned anti-French commander who first defeated Napoleon, who was then at the height of his power and seemingly a god of war, at Aspern.
But Prince Eugene... forgive William's pitifully limited knowledge of Europe history; his entire memory of this name comes from a prince in the game "Azur Lane".
Fortunately, he has Hermione's all-knowing solution; he can answer any question he doesn't understand, and his history teacher no longer has to worry about his studies.
Rarely discovering that William didn't know something, the girl raised her chin and explained with a hint of pride:
Prince Eugene was an outstanding military commander of the Austria Habsburg Dynasty.
He once decisively defeated the Ottomans Empire, forcing it to sign the Treaty of Treaty of Karlowitz, ceding large tracts of land to Austria, including Hungary.
William was taken aback.
Merlin... it's enough to make Green Luo weep!
However, when discussing the war between Austria and the Ottomans, one cannot help but mention Constantinople once again.
After the Ottomans Empire captured Constantinople, it completely lost its bridgehead against infidels in Europe.
Later, the young Sultan Suleiman led his army out of Constantinople and marched north.
He vowed to let the light of Allah shine upon this sinful land of Europe, which was filled with infidels.
Suleiman decisively defeated the Hungary army and marched all the way to the walls of Vienna, Austria, where he launched the Siege of Vienna in 1529.
This war marked the Ottomans Empire's first invasion of Central Europe, and for the next 150 years, the main theme was a protracted war between Austria and the Ottomans Empire.
Vienna once again became a bridgehead for Europe's resistance against infidels.
Here we must mention again the role of France, the dutiful son of God, who played the double agent.
During the Ottomans invasion, France, contrary to its medieval religious fanaticism, chose to form an alliance with the infidel Ottomans in the face of national interests.
The two sides also formed the infamous "Sacrilegious Alliance of the Lily and the Crescent," which lasted for two and a half centuries.
Hermione has always been very interested in history, whether it's the History of Magic or Muggle history.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have been the only one in Professor Binns' class who wasn't hypnotized.
She became more and more excited as she talked, and soon the conversation turned to the famous House of Habsburg of Austria.
And this family... with its unique "earth-enclosed" jawline.
The Habsburg Dynasty was the most extensive royal family in Europe history, ruling over the Holy Roman Empire, the Austria Empire, the Spain Empire, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, among others.
Family members have included emperors, kings, grand dukes, and dukes.
The Sarajevo Incident, which triggered First World War, and the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, the heir apparent to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, were both members of the House of Habsburg.
However, this family has a penchant for inbreeding, and their most distinctive facial feature is their large, protruding chin.
Because of the protruding lower jaw, the teeth cannot be aligned and close properly, and some people are even unable to close their mouths.
There was once a Spain farmer who was startled when he first met King Charles V of Spain.
He even shouted, "Your Majesty, please shut your mouth! The flies in the village are horrible!"
Besides the chin, it also leads to a host of serious genetic diseases, and the infant mortality rate in the family rises rapidly.
From Philip I onwards, only seven generations passed before the reign of Charles II ended, and the royal line died out.
Charles II's lack of a successor directly led to the downfall of the Spain Habsburg Dynasty and triggered War of the Spain Succession.
William glanced at the sculpture again, then suddenly his eyes sharpened, and he looked behind him.
The statue depicts a thin girl with fair skin.
She was wearing a black brocade court dress, white gloves with lace trim, and a parasol in her hand, seemingly eavesdropping on their conversation.
Hermione followed the gaze.
Noticing William staring at her, the girl remained expressionless, showing no remorse for being caught eavesdropping. Instead, she naturally performed a ladylike gesture and said:
Welcome to Vienna.
After saying that, she carefully searched through a pile of name tags in her bag. "Excuse me, which country's representatives are you two accompanying?"
"We came on our own. My name is William Stark." William looked at the girl who seemed to be a receptionist and introduced her, "Her name is Hermione Granger."
"Oh, I'm so sorry! Sir? I didn't recognize you two!"
The girl's words sounded surprised, but her tone remained calm and her expression was completely indifferent.
She seems like a girl with no money, no status, and no emotional attachments.
It's normal that she didn't recognize him; William and Hermione's journey together felt like a trip.
While passing through other cities, I bought several pieces of clothing with distinctive ethnic characteristics.
Dressed up in such a flamboyant way, no one could recognize her.
The girl walked over slowly and carefully stuck the two name tags onto the lapel of William's coat.
He took out another one and stuck it on Hermione's clothes.
William and Hermione checked their name tags together to see if they contained any magic.
Better safe than sorry.
Last year in Venice, the hostess at the time, Nymeria, gave me two Venice masks, which were imbued with tracking magic.
William is now particularly wary of these "fans" who enjoy backstabbing him.
"I will be your host tonight. My name is Missandei." The girl shook her golden bell, and a carriage slowly pulled up.
William's gaze passed over Missandei and landed on the luxurious carriage before him, led by four winged horses Granian.
There are four types of Pegasus: Abraxan, Aethonan, Thestral, and Granian.
Granian generally live in Northern Europe and are rarely seen in the United Kingdom. I didn't expect to see one here.
William's eyes lit up... He already had Thestral and Abraxan, all he needed was a Granian.
Master Ball... waiting to be caught!
Once inside the carriage, William discovered it was extremely luxurious, resembling a royal carriage.
Bottled water and a basket of hot muffins were placed on one side. Within seconds, the carriage had quickly driven away from the square and onto the private driveway.
This attracted the surprised gazes of a group of tourists around them.
"Have the representatives from various countries arrived yet?" William asked, leaning back on the sofa.
"We've reached the tenth, but your United Kingdom representative hasn't arrived yet." Missandei finally revealed a hint of curiosity.
"I heard that Dumbledore can't come?"
"Yes, the professor really can't come." William pondered who the United Kingdom representative would be.
The carriage passed through the alley and continued along the passage.
At that moment, William and Hermione both looked up and saw the venue for the Wizarding Congress.
Hofburg Palace.
