Cavalry Against Infantry
Nott stared in disbelief as he watched the young wizard attempt to hold off the army single-handedly.
Riding atop the Troll, he sneered, "You really think you're the Dark Lord?!"
Even the Dark Lord... he didn't believe that he could emerge unscathed from an overwhelming number of enemies.
I'll wear you down, I'll wear you down!
Good, killing this Stark who's courting death will definitely be a huge achievement!
It's likely that the Dark Lord felt even more relieved than if he had killed Potter.
Hundreds of meters away, William walked at a leisurely pace, heading straight from south to north.
In fact, he had anticipated an army of Inferi, but he had not expected the appearance of Troll and Orc.
Especially considering the sheer number of them.
It seems that Old Tom wasn't completely idle during his trip to the United States.
He was at least adept at winning over Pure-blood families.
However, as I said before:
The Dark Lord is a remnant of the old era; there is no vessel in the new era capable of carrying him.
Now that these Pure-blood families with ulterior motives have all jumped out to support the Dark Lord, it saves William the trouble of having to vet them one by one later.
So don't be fooled by the commotion today; they'll definitely have to pay the price later.
William's notebook already contains a considerable number of Pure-blood families forces that will be dealt with after the war.
What's the point of harvesting small leeks? It's much more exciting to plunder the rich and divide their wealth.
Of course, we still need to be careful in this battle.
While Troll and Orc are not as powerful as Giant, they have the advantage of sheer numbers.
Their adult size is over three meters tall and they weigh more than a ton.
On the battlefield, it would be a formidable weapon once a charge begins.
William's confidence in facing this challenge alone was well-founded.
He raised his wand, and thirty knight statues jumped out of the Safety Watch.
They landed on the ground with a loud, booming sound.
Now that he had information about the Little Black Robe, William certainly couldn't be completely unprepared.
In fact, the school had already considered the security issues of the train before the end of the previous academic year.
Faced with a shortage of manpower, Professor McGonagall once again recalled her "Cheering Charm".
The guardian stone sculptures and armor of Hogwarts were the only one among her many hobbies that stood alongside Quidditch.
Back then, the Wizard's Chess pieces for the fourth-floor Restricted Section were designed by McGonagall.
In third grade, to defend against Sirius's invasion, she also made many stone carvings, which she placed in the Gryffindor Common Room as dog-beating sticks.
Sirius truly experienced its power firsthand, and still harbors a phobia of statues.
These are just minor things; Professor McGonagall's wish list includes one item:
Create the "Cheering Charm" army.
Professor McGonagall was the only one who hadn't seen the Terracotta Army; otherwise, she might have been so excited by the treasure trove of Qin Shi Huang's models that she fainted.
Don't ask, the answer is simply the depth of my love!
Therefore, she made many more knight statues this summer, all of which William brought with him.
Cavalry vs. infantry
With a horse versus no horse...
William was the first to experience double the joy.
He raised his hand, and all the stone sculptures raised their arms and bows!
Nott looked at the suddenly appearing stone knight with a hint of disdain.
He knew about the guards at Hogwarts because they had been there during the last Wizarding War.
But according to his understanding, at this distance, if he were to fire immediately, accuracy would be quite difficult.
To injure the enemy is even more difficult; unless the shot hits a fatal spot, the effect is minimal.
His subordinates were all tough-skinned Troll and Orc, making things even more difficult.
He also trained Orc in throwing weapons and was quite familiar with their range and lethality.
It seems that the Stark are not only arrogant, but also naive in war, and are bound to suffer a great loss!
The two sides were seventy meters apart. The stone knight, with his bow drawn to its fullest extent, fired three arrows in one go.
Then, a scene that shocked Nott unfolded.
Nearly a hundred arrows, with a loud bang, swiftly pierced the air, flying away in a perfectly straight line, defying all logic.
This clearly demonstrates the terrifying power of these alchemical items!
Nott instinctively bent over and turned his shoulder to the side. The iron arrow that had pierced through his head barely grazed his cheek, leaving a cut.
If he had been poisoned, he would be dead now!
With a series of dull thuds, many of the running Orc suddenly fell backward, a crossbow bolt piercing their skulls.
The Troll had dull, gray skin, like granite, and possessed high magical defense.
But its weakness lies in its head.
A single heavy blow from a large wooden club could knock them unconscious, let alone the weapons forged by the Centaur. Would a stone-carved knight be expected to draw them?
If Centaur were here, their firing range would be wider, and they could inflict greater damage.
This is pure, unadulterated racial talent.
They are also the best fighting force for the Kite Troll and the Orc Legion.
William rode a Abraxan and galloped towards the Troll and Orc.
A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
The other person was probably just internally laughing at him for not understanding "range".
The original stone carving did indeed have a limited range.
But how could William, who possessed Nicolas's "The Book of Alchemy," not find a way to improve it?
It's just that the cost and the process are much more difficult, but that doesn't mean it's impossible!
Kid, you underestimated the power of the Deathly Hallows.
Thirty stone knights, along with William, fought against three hundred Orc and Troll.
It's like the Wizarding World version of Thermopylae.
From a distance of 100 meters, the stone knights continuously fired a rain of arrows.
Nott watched the cavalry's one-sided slaughter of the infantry on the battlefield and roared ferociously, "Throw spears and lances!"
Each Troll and Orc was equipped with a spear and an iron club.
You can use bows and arrows; we're not just sitting idly by either.
In an instant, all the orcs threw their spears and lances.
These Magical Creatures are already incredibly strong, and with the training from the Nott Family, each of their projectiles is fired at an astonishing speed.
After a volley of throws, although the aim wasn't great, the sheer number of throws resulted in four stone sculptures being smashed to pieces!
William gripped his wand, twirled it in his hand, and a mirrored shield appeared in front of him, deflecting all the close-range spears and lances.
The two sides exchanged fire continuously, closing the distance of 100 meters in an instant and engaging in close combat.
The Abraxan was enormous, and its forward stride was as powerful as thunder.
William rode on top and charged into the pack of beasts, waving his wand and unleashing a net of spells.
Seven or eight Troll charged head-on, their heads exploding, their flesh mangled, and they fell to the ground dead one by one.
The cleanest and most efficient method, but precisely the most shocking.
In the blink of an eye, Nott saw the young wizard in the herd of beasts, with a shocking, bloody path behind him.
The horde of beasts was cleaved in two, creating a road several meters wide.
William charged forward alone, in a straight line.
He led dozens of stone sculptures and smashed the entire formation into pieces!
The young man suddenly turned his head, glanced at him with his dark green eyes, and then grinned.
Although it was a smile, Nott suddenly felt... a chill run through his body.
