Ch. 1A Red Dragon Like Me, Chased by a Wild Boar?

Wentesi fled a tusked wild boar in another world after failing to steal its spirit ginseng, then returned to his kobold camp in Emerald Valley and sought the Great Tree Sage’s advice. He began learning magic to defeat the boar, ending the chapter practicing spells through the night.

  • Wentesi’s dragon breath barely harmed the boar, which chased him up a tree until he used his bloodline to return to his other world.
  • Gru welcomed Wentesi back to camp, reported on the kobolds’ fishing, crops, and honey harvest, and served him honey-roasted pigs.
  • Wentesi flew to the Great Tree Sage and asked how to kill the powerful beast; the sage advised him to learn restraining magic and showed him a stone tablet of spells.
  • The Great Tree Sage wondered how to guide Wentesi toward the Mother Goddess after the dragon left with the spell tablet.
  • Wentesi practiced the Swamp, Slow, and Web Techniques in the forest, then continued casting spells through the night.

Ch. 2The Necessity of Cultivation

Wentesi lured the tusked wild boar into a swamp-and-web trap, but the boar awakened Earth Escape and escaped. He traded spiritual ginseng with Crow Lord for the Hairy Head Sun Method, then returned to his original world with a cultivation method to study and a grudge against the boar.

  • Wentesi tracked the tusked wild boar to its lair, prepared a swamp-and-web trap, and used dragon breath to drive it out.
  • Wentesi lured the charging boar into the trap and cast Slow Techniques, but the boar broke through in battle, awakened Earth Escape, and escaped underground.
  • Crow Lord introduced himself and explained that the boar was an Earth Virtue Demon Beast that had awakened Earth Escape.
  • Wentesi followed Crow Lord to the cave, where he traded two and a half spiritual ginseng roots for the Hairy Head Sun Method.
  • Wentesi examined the human-shaped cultivation images, wondered whether his red dragon body could practice the method, and returned to his original world.

Ch. 3"Hairy Head Sun Method"

Wentesi cultivated the "Hairy Head Sun Method" at sunrise and reached life level five, then flew to confront gnolls approaching Emerald Valley. Mistaking his golden radiance for that of a much larger golden dragon, their leader Walker abandoned his attack and begged Wentesi for refuge.

  • Wentesi hid his ginseng roots and tried to practice the "Hairy Head Sun Method," but his dragon body could not circulate its Qi properly.
  • When sunlight reached him, Wentesi discovered his affinity for the method, mastered its first level, and advanced to life level five.
  • Gru reported that Walker and seventy-two gnolls were preparing to attack the fishing area, so Wentesi flew out to meet them.
  • Walker rallied his frightened gnolls and ordered them to attack, hoping to reclaim Emerald Valley and find its secret treasure.
  • Wentesi's sunlight-enhanced golden appearance terrified Walker and his gnolls, and Walker knelt and claimed they had come to seek refuge.

Ch. 4The Victory of the Art of Mental Victory

Wentesi subjugated Walker and the gnolls, then discovered that the Hairy Head Sun Method only advanced at sunrise. He decided to visit the other world again, carrying provisions and hoping to learn more from the crow.

  • Wentesi branded the kneeling gnolls with Hairy Head Sun Law Power and threatened to destroy any who proved disloyal.
  • Wentesi assigned Kru to oversee the gnolls and send them to work, while Walker accepted his submission and secretly hoped to gain power and reach Emerald Valley's treasure.
  • After sleeping, Wentesi tried to cultivate the Hairy Head Sun Method at night but made no progress.
  • Wentesi decided to return to the other world to investigate the method and question the crow about its treasures and rules.
  • Wentesi packed ten wild ginseng roots and two jars of three-flower honey, then vanished.

Ch. 5The Method Cannot Be Cultivated

Wentesi searched for Crow Lord to ask about the Hairy Head Sun Method and discovered that the sun’s path was supposedly severed, though he had cultivated it using a Fire Virtue spirit object. After Crow Lord admitted it had tricked him and offered to take him to a cultivation-method shop, Wentesi agreed to go with it.

  • Immortal Shanqi warned Yuyao that the Name-Registering Stone had detected a new disciple on the path of [Hairy Head Sun] and ordered an investigation.
  • Wentesi searched for Crow Lord, found its hidden cave, and asked why he could cultivate the Hairy Head Sun Method only during the day.
  • Crow Lord was shocked that Wentesi had cultivated the method and asked whether he had used a Fire Virtue spirit object.
  • Crow Lord explained that the paths of [Room Sun] and [Hairy Head Sun] had been severed, while [Star Sun] and [Emptiness Sun] used substitutes for the sun.
  • Wentesi confronted Crow Lord for trading him a method he supposedly could not cultivate and demanded his wild spirit ginseng back.
  • Crow Lord admitted it had eaten the ginseng and offered to take Wentesi to a cultivation method shop, and Wentesi agreed on the condition that it choose a usable method.

Ch. 6Buying Books at the Demon Market

Wentesi learned about cultivation realms and Dao lineages as Crow Lord explained how fire-virtue objects could lead demons into a false version of [Hairy Head Sun]. They reached a demon market, where Crow Lord sent Wentesi into a bookshop to choose a fire-virtue Cultivation Method while he went to meet an acquaintance.

  • Crow Lord explained the cultivation realms and warned Wentesi that using fire virtue to enter [Hairy Head Sun] created a false Dao lineage.
  • Wentesi realized his own cultivation of [Hairy Head Sun] was genuine, kept that secret, and confronted Crow Lord over the Cultivation Method he had traded him.
  • Crow Lord admitted he used the method to make new demons anxious and persuade them to trade him more spiritual materials.
  • Crow Lord led Wentesi to a demon market and brought him to Niu Er's bookshop to obtain a second-grade fire-virtue Cultivation Method.
  • Crow Lord told Wentesi to choose a fire-virtue method and flew off to meet a feathered acquaintance, leaving Wentesi alone in the shop.

Ch. 7Free Buddhist Teachings

Wentesi used the black stone in the library to read and chose the Three Yang Earth Fire Method, then traded rock honey for books and learned about cultivation grades. After Crow Lord warned that the green ox demon’s Buddhist scriptures would turn him into a controlled Buddhist mount, Wentesi unexpectedly asked to receive them anyway.

  • Wentesi touched the black stone, gained temporary understanding of the library’s books, and selected the second-grade Three Yang Earth Fire Method.
  • Wentesi gathered eleven books and exchanged a jar of rock honey for them, discovering that resources from his original world could be traded.
  • The green ox demon explained cultivation-method grades and offered Wentesi the fourth-grade Formless Muscle-Changing Sutra and sixth-grade Great Sun Earth Buddha Sutra for free.
  • Crow Lord rushed in and warned Wentesi that cultivating the Buddhist scriptures would make him a puppet and mount, so Wentesi withdrew his claw.
  • Despite Crow Lord urging him to leave, Wentesi asked the green ox demon to bestow the two Buddhist teachings, surprising them both.

Ch. 8I Can Love Buddha Too!

Wentesi accepted Buddhist teachings and a fire virtue Cultivation Method from Niu Er, then bought spiritual goods in the yao market to explore trading between worlds. Back in Emerald Valley, he cultivated the Hairy Head Sun Method, learned he was nearing his juvenile dragon transformation, and ended by learning to read so he could study the books he had brought back.

  • Niu Er gave Wentesi Buddhist sutras and the Lesser Karmic Fire Incantation-Chanting Sutra, while the Crow Lord left, convinced Wentesi was beyond saving.
  • Wentesi bought Spirit Plant seeds, a spirit peach sapling, and cultivation books, then returned to Emerald Valley to test the Hairy Head Sun Method.
  • Wentesi cultivated from dawn until evening, made rapid progress, and discovered that his body was preparing for the months-long hibernation that would transform him into a juvenile dragon.
  • Kru reported that Walker’s gnolls had killed badger beasts and that guards had spotted a strange, powerful leopard; Wentesi ordered them to watch the fishing area and secretly plant his seeds.
  • Wentesi decided to test the Buddhist teachings and study the books from the immortal cultivation world, so he used a primer to learn its writing.

Ch. 9The Cesspit Cultivation World

After discovering that the cultivation world’s Dao lineages and Buddhism exploited their followers, Wentesi cautiously tested Buddhist cultivation and found the Formless Muscle-Changing Sutra safe and effective. Unable to enter the Great Sun Earth Buddha Sutra’s Buddhist Golden Land, he realized he could use something already in his territory and flew out to look for it.

  • Wentesi read the cultivation biographies and Buddhist scriptures, concluding that cultivators were treated as food, sacrifices, and nourishment for higher beings.
  • Wentesi ordered Kru to teach the Formless Muscle-Changing Sutra to two strong kobolds; after three days, they showed no mental problems and gained hard, brass-sheened bodies.
  • Wentesi cultivated the Formless Muscle-Changing Sutra himself and reached its first level, strengthening his scales.
  • Wentesi read the Great Sun Earth Buddha Sutra but found he needed an eminent monk to guide him into the Buddhist Golden Land before he could cultivate it.
  • Wentesi decided he could open a Golden Land himself, then spotted a ready-made solution as he flew over his territory.

Ch. 10Golden Land!

Wentesi refined a small patch of earth into his Golden Land and gained two Buddhist Divine Abilities that could preserve his life and turn willing cultivators into tenants who paid him merit. His plans for growing stronger were interrupted when Walker requested a Dragon Blood Blessing, and Wentesi summoned him with killing intent.

  • Wentesi used the Great Sun Earth Buddha Sutra to refine part of the earth beneath his lair into a Golden Land.
  • Wentesi gained [Gold Endures, Body Never Dies] and [Teach the Method, Plant Fields of Merit], and considered using tenants to build his power over time.
  • Kru told Wentesi that Walker wanted a Dragon Blood Blessing to become a dragon-blooded gnoll.
  • Kru warned that Wentesi would soon enter his sleeping period and that a powerful level-six Beast-Transformed Leopard threatened the territory.
  • Wentesi ordered Kru to bring Walker to him and said he would grant the blessing, then resolved to kill Walker.

Ch. 11Deliverance

Wentesi discovered that Walker had used a devil’s sealed ring to advance to level five and demanded a dragon-blood blessing under the guise of protecting the territory. He trapped Walker in golden chains and began infusing him with Hairy Head Sun Law Power, promising a greater gift than the blessing Walker sought.

  • Walker reported that a level-six beast-transformed leopard had killed two young adult gnolls and asked Wentesi for a dragon-blood blessing.
  • Walker claimed his level-five advancement came from talent and an epiphany in battle, then insisted he was the territory’s best defense while Wentesi slept.
  • Wentesi sensed that Walker’s Qi and Blood were depleted and found a level-two black ring hidden beneath his fur.
  • Wentesi recognized the ring’s presence as a devil sealed by magic and concluded Walker had made a deal to gain power.
  • Wentesi bound Walker in golden chains with Hairy Head Sun Law Power and announced that he would grant Walker a greater opportunity than a dragon-blood blessing.

Ch. 12The First Field of Merit

Wentesi brought salvation to Walker as his first Field of Merit, painfully filling the gnoll with Hairy Head Sun Law Power and purging the devil’s power from his body. Walker awakened as a fervent but incoherent worshipper, while Wentesi turned his attention to the devil sealed inside the ring.

  • Wentesi bound Walker with golden chains and began infusing him with Hairy Head Sun Law Power, accidentally causing him excruciating pain.
  • Walker’s devil blessing emerged as horns and dark red eyes, but Wentesi’s Law Power overwhelmed it and reduced Walker from level five to level four.
  • After twenty minutes, Wentesi completed the Field of Merit and discovered he could control Walker’s body through their connection.
  • Walker awoke, called Wentesi “Buddha,” and repeatedly kowtowed, but Wentesi found only chaos in his mind and silenced him.
  • Wentesi examined Walker’s sealing ring, where the devil mistook him for Walker before detecting his Law Power; Wentesi identified the devil as weak and forced his power into the ring.

Ch. 13Toying with the Devil

Wentesi used Hairy Head Sun Law Power to burn the sealed devil, who revealed a coming Abyssal Rift and numerous secrets to save himself. Wentesi nearly destroyed him anyway, but stopped when the devil offered information about ancient treasures, leaving his fate uncertain.

  • Wentesi identified the sealed devil as a weakened Abishai and decided to destroy him rather than trust or recruit him.
  • As Wentesi burned the devil, the devil warned that a spatial fissure would open into the Chaotic Abyss within three years, bringing demons into the Wilderness.
  • The devil claimed the God of Light was trapped in His divine realm and shared other news about the Elven Empire, ancient dragons, and a dwarven crystal deposit.
  • After Wentesi let the devil finish speaking, he resumed the attack and revealed that he was a red dragon, not a gold dragon.
  • The devil offered to reveal a High Antiquity treasure and an ancient dragon lair in exchange for a soul contract, so Wentesi paused the attack and said he would spare him for now.

Ch. 14Testing the Field of Merit

Wentesi spared the Abishai Devil after learning its secrets, sealed it in a ring, and placed the ring under Walker’s care. At dawn, a level-six Beast-Transformed Leopard attacked Wentesi’s territory, giving him a chance to test Walker as his first Field of Merit.

  • Wentesi judged the rumored treasures too dangerous and distant to pursue, then realized the Abishai Devil knew more than a low-ranking devil should.
  • Wentesi kept the devil alive, sealed its soul in a ring, and ordered Walker to protect the ring.
  • Wentesi inspected Walker and found that the conversion had made him permanently less intelligent but utterly loyal.
  • After leaving his lair at dawn, Wentesi sensed the Beast-Transformed Leopard attacking a wounded gnoll in the fishing area.
  • Wentesi ordered Walker to defeat the level-six Beast-Transformed Leopard so he could test the Field of Merit.

Ch. 15One-Sided Slaughter of the Beast-Transformed Leopard

Walker fought the level-six Beast-Transformed Leopard while Wentesi arrived and killed it with a single blast of dragon breath infused with Hairy Head Sun Law Power. After ordering the survivors to treat the wounded and collect the leopard without eating it, Wentesi flew back to his lair to cultivate.

  • Walker rushed to the fishing area and fought the Beast-Transformed Leopard, holding it off despite severe wounds.
  • Kru recognized Walker and realized his attempt to bring him down had failed, then ordered the kobolds to support him.
  • Wentesi arrived and ordered Walker to withdraw after seeing that he had proved his obedience and fearlessness.
  • The Beast-Transformed Leopard tried to flee, but Wentesi struck it with dragon breath infused with Hairy Head Sun Golden Flame and left it near death.
  • Wentesi crushed the leopard's head, ordered Kru to tally losses and collect usable remains without eating them, and assigned Walker to treat the wounded.
  • Wentesi flew back to his lair, eager to cultivate the Hairy Head Sun Method.

Ch. 16The Cultivation Tax Must Not Stop!

Wentesi converted Kru into a Field of Merit and taught him and Walker the Hairy Head Sun Method through the Golden Land. He devised rules for taxing their cultivation and proposed founding the Great Love Dragon Religion.

  • Wentesi chose Kru as his second Field of Merit and converted him with Hairy Head Sun Law Power.
  • Wentesi summoned Walker and used the Golden Land to send both him and Kru the Hairy Head Sun Method’s introductory insights.
  • Wentesi realized he could draw cultivation from Fields of Merit and also send cultivation and understanding back to them.
  • Wentesi decided that Fields of Merit could not surpass his cultivation, that taxes would vary by realm, and that all Fields of Merit must cultivate diligently.
  • Wentesi asked Kru and Walker whether they had heard of the Great Love Dragon Religion, and they shook their heads.

Ch. 17Your Mom's About to Split Open

Wentesi founded the Great Love Dragon Religion by converting Kru and Walker, then flew to ask the Great Tree Sage about a warning of an Abyssal rift. His approaching dragon slumber and the Great Tree Sage’s mistaken belief that he served the God of Light left him with little time to investigate before he delivered his urgent warning.

  • Wentesi preached the Great Love Dragon Religion to Kru and Walker, binding them to its rules and ordering them to cultivate and convert others.
  • Wentesi recalled Abishai’s warning that an Abyssal rift would open in three years and flew to seek the Great Tree Sage’s advice.
  • Wentesi realized his dragon slumber was due within three weeks and that he would be vulnerable while asleep.
  • The Great Tree Sage mistook the light-like power around Wentesi for a gift from the God of Light and believed Wentesi had become that god’s follower.
  • Wentesi avoided explaining the power and told the Great Tree Sage, “your mom's about to split open.”

Ch. 18Sleep Approaches

Wentesi confirmed with the Great Tree Sage that an Abyssal Rift would appear in the Wilderness and prepared his territory for evacuation. After returning to his dragon’s nest to cultivate, Wentesi felt his dormant period approaching sooner than expected, leaving him needing to find a safe place to sleep and reach the Second Level of Embryonic Breathing.

  • Wentesi told the Great Tree Sage that an Abyssal Rift was expected to appear in the Wilderness, and the Great Tree Sage sensed foulness beneath its eastern reaches and confirmed the warning.
  • Wentesi agreed that the Great Tree Sage could spread the news and accepted a Jade Life Leaf to help him recover from severe injuries.
  • The Great Tree Sage ordered the forest to watch Wentesi for signs of the God of Light, then reported the Abyssal Rift and praised Wentesi to the God of the Wild.
  • Wentesi returned to Emerald Valley, instructed Kru and Walker to arrange defenses and evacuation plans, and prepared to move his territory’s resources.
  • Wentesi resumed cultivating in his dragon’s nest, but after completing his thirteenth Law Power cycle, he felt an overpowering drowsiness and realized his dormant period was near.

Ch. 19Did I Just Get Sent to the World of Immortal Cultivation?

Wentesi broke through to the Second Level of Embryonic Breathing, prepared for his slumber, and woke in a world of immortal cultivators who harvested humans for Blood Qi. He realized his sleep had transported him from Emerald Valley to a brutal battlefield.

  • Wentesi reached the Second Level of Embryonic Breathing after eighteen days of cultivation, with Walker and Kru supplying him one-tenth of their absorbed sun Qi.
  • Wentesi stuffed himself with stored meat and honey, instructed Walker and Kru to guard Emerald Valley, and flew to a hidden cave beneath a lake to sleep on his second patch of golden land.
  • During his slumber, Wentesi dreamed of becoming the mighty Great Sun Dragon Ancestor, ruler over gods and Legendary powerhouses.
  • Wentesi woke to the sounds of battle and discovered three forces fighting across a corpse-strewn plain.
  • Wentesi overheard Brother Ye and Brother Xu discuss collecting Blood Qi and taking people from a human pen, then realized his multicolored scale had transported him to a world of immortal cultivation.

Ch. 20Encountering a Monk

Wentesi emerged from dormancy in the immortal cultivation world with a much stronger dragon body, level-nine life force, and fourth-level Embryonic Breathing cultivation, which he traced partly to Walker and Kru’s cultivation tax. As two cultivators prepared to collect Blood Qi from a massacre, a monk stopped them with a bronze bell, then addressed Wentesi before suddenly treating him as an elder.

  • Wentesi examined his transformed crimson-gold dragon body and discovered that his life level had risen to nine and his cultivation had advanced to the fourth level of Embryonic Breathing.
  • Wentesi realized that the Greater Yang Qi from Walker and Kru had helped advance his cultivation during his seven-month dormancy.
  • Wentesi watched the red-clad faction slaughter the defeated survivors while cultivators surnamed Ye and Xu prepared to collect their Blood Qi.
  • A young monk descended, condemned Ye and Xu, and used a bronze bell to freeze them as they tried to flee.
  • The monk accused Wentesi of standing by during the slaughter, then listened at the ground and respectfully called him an elder.
