Premium Release Notice and Thoughts
First, I'd like to bow to my readers!
This book will be available on the shelves at noon tomorrow, the 18th, the second day of the Lunar New Year.
Seven chapters will be updated on the day of release tomorrow.
Five chapters tomorrow at noon, and two chapters in the evening.
After it's published, the daily word count will remain between 8,000 and 10,000.
Because the release coincides with the Chinese New Year holiday, I'll basically be staying home and writing a lot for my readers. So I hope you guys can support me with a first-day subscription...
The following are my thoughts and some explanations.
Let's first discuss the future developments.
We're about to leave the town, and leaving will be a major climax.
Once outside the town, the story mainly focuses on two major sections.
First, there's the world of martial arts.
Second, the world.
The world of martial arts is a place of youthful spirit.
The world belongs to the people.
This book was actually better prepared than the previous one, but it still made some obvious mistakes in the early stages, such as the title, the protagonist's name, and even the beginning, which some readers have criticized...
Compared to the previous book, Bodhi Tree, this book is essentially still an upgrade story, but there are significant differences in its subject matter and genre.
Bodhi Tree is a martial arts novel set in the starry sky, which is a traditional fantasy genre. For me, this new theme is a new challenge.
When considering the start, I came up with several directions, but I felt that some of the beginnings were too "common", such as a low-status martial arts school or the bottom level of a sect.
Therefore, I ultimately chose the "Sword Comes to the Cave" opening strategy.
In traditional fantasy, or the leveling-up genre, this is a rare and relatively novel start.
However, this has inevitably led to misunderstandings from some readers, with some even suspecting that I plagiarized...
This really needs to be clarified. I just like the opening, but there was no plagiarism or paraphrasing involved.
As I mentioned in some of my previous chapter reviews, even if you tell me you're going to learn how to be a general manager, I can't learn it. The skill gap is too big. I'm just someone who writes fast-paced, level-up novels.
Some readers are worried that I might write a protagonist like Chen Pipi, but to be honest, I can't control that either.
The protagonists I write about won't be too dark, nor will they be portrayed as too virtuous and righteous.
From my perspective, having too high Dao and Virtue can be a constraint on the protagonist, easily leading to double standards.
I Buxi create difficult problems or Dao and Virtue dilemmas for myself; that's not the path for my writing style.
Therefore, my protagonists generally focus more on their own little corner of the world. "I" survive first, then look at the people around me, from the people around me to the world, fast forward to the point that the world is mine, and what benefits me is what benefits the world.
Just like in Chapter 5, Yu Tunzhou said that I didn't understand Human Dao, grand plans, or the path of cultivation; I only wanted to survive. Later, he said that failure would definitely not be my fault.
The above is one explanation regarding the beginning and the main character's personality; you can rest assured.
Then there's the protagonist's name...
Some readers did complain, thinking I was being overly pretentious... but honestly, from my perspective, I didn't find the name difficult to pronounce.
The name does indeed have an origin and foreshadowing.
Fish that Tunzhou do not swim in branches and streams; swans that fly high do not gather in filthy ponds.
Furthermore, this also corresponds to the predicament of that Martial Ancestor: "[Alas, the fish that once Tunzhou is now but an ant in comparison]."
At the same time, it also corresponds to the protagonist's Inner Form vision, as the Kun Fish is inherently a fish that Tunzhou.
There are some plot points that will occur in the later stages of the story, but they haven't been written yet, so I won't go into them.
Let me reiterate: I don't have a pretentious, artsy attitude!
This book's highest ranking so far is third on the overall new book chart, which is already very good. Thank you all for your support!
The list should be out of the rankings around today.
While I haven't been able to follow or collect as much as with my previous book, my plan when I started this book was to keep the pace as slow as possible in the early stages.
The first volume was written too quickly in many places, and parts that could have been described in detail were only briefly mentioned. Looking back on it later, it's such a pity, like two different branches.
I want to write this book in more detail and make it better.
It will be available tomorrow, but unfortunately it's during the Chinese New Year holiday, and traffic has generally dropped significantly...
I really hope that everyone can take a little time out of their busy schedules at noon on the 18th to support this book with a first-day subscription, so that I know how many people are willing to read this book.
Thank you so much, everyone!
My thoughts are not clear.
