  • Daoist Qingzhi recognized Mietian’s portrait as Kou Ziling and warned Yu Tunzhou that Mietian might already be Kou Ziling’s avatar.
  • Abbot Jingchen and the others planned to assault the Turbid Kingdom, destroy its official temples, and cut off the Incense and Fire Prayer Power sustaining Mietian’s Buddhist treasure.

Ch. 242The Great Dao Is Long, the Overwhelming Advance Begins

Yu Tunzhou discovered that Xue Wuya’s repeated resurrection depended on the Turbid Kingdom’s incense offerings, traced their source to Mietian, and set out to destroy the temples sustaining him. As Yu Tunzhou’s temple attacks accelerated, Fu Tingxue rushed to warn him, but Yu was already fighting two of Mietian’s powerful allies and overwhelming them with the world’s growing support.

Ch. 245The True Buddha, the Origin of the Buddha!

Dingguang witnessed how Ignorance twisted the Turbid Kingdom and vowed to light the first lamp for its suffering people, manifesting the Ancient Glazed Lamp and revealing himself as Ancient Buddha Dipankara. As Mietian attacked him and tried to extinguish the lamp, a mysterious green-robed figure appeared, shattered Mietian’s Buddha Dharma Aspect, and promised to thwart his ambition.

  • Yu Tunzhou’s punch suppressed Mietian’s arts, and his second punch pierced Mietian’s chest.

Ch. 247Striking Down Immortals and Gods

Yu Tunzhou defeated Mietian’s Buddhist techniques and forcibly dragged him back when he tried to ascend, causing Mietian to die as his Dao dispersed. After Kou Ziling revealed that higher breakthroughs had long been obstructed by powerful Dao enemies, an old monk approached Yu Tunzhou and invited him to join the Buddhist School.

  • Dingguang planned to stabilize Rahula’s True Spirit and later settle the Mahayana-Hinayana dispute at Vajra Chan Temple; Rahula warned Yu Tunzhou that his wrist object might be a core fragment of the Nine Heavens.
  • As the blessing faded, Yu Tunzhou reflected on the punch he had thrown at the Buddha and realized he would have thrown it even knowing the man’s identity, thereby stepping onto the threshold of [Nature-Seeing Heaven].
  • Yu Tunzhou returned the blessing’s remaining power in a final punch at the firmament, and Rahula wondered whether Maitreya had included the events in his plan.

Ch. 249The Heavenly Demon's Disciples Are Full of Talent; the Underworld's Answer

Ch. 251Heavenly Emperor, Late Divine Ability Stage!

Yu Tunzhou learned that Lu Huaiqing’s legacy and his own Dao Path might be connected to the taboo Heavenly Emperor Haotian, then focused on cultivation instead of dwelling on the danger. He broke through to the Late Divine Ability Stage and established two more wondrous sights, leaving seven of the Eight Sceneries complete.

Ch. 252Dao Calamity! The Martial Ancestor's Projection?

Yu Tunzhou learned that his unusually powerful lightning trials might be Dao Calamities and sought a way to obtain treasures that could help him survive the next one. He used Master Lu’s Ascension Platform to reach a snowbound cabin, where a lame young man mistook him for the Martial Ancestor and then suggested that the Martial Ancestor looked like himself.

  • Yu Tunzhou examined the seven Divine Abilities formed from his Inner Scenery and realized that opening his eighth wondrous sight required surviving another formidable lightning tribulation.
  • Huntian proposed that Yu Tunzhou’s lightning trials were incomplete Dao Calamities tied to his reincarnation and warned him that borrowing Martial Fortune could cause unforeseen trouble.
  • Yu Tunzhou considered searching the Heavenly Court ruins for Peaches of Immortality or Nine-Revolution Golden Elixirs, then used Master Lu’s Ascension Platform to follow the coordinates he had left.
  • Yu Tunzhou arrived on a snowy mountaintop and entered a cabin, where a lame young man asked whether he was the Martial Ancestor.
  • The young man said Yu Tunzhou was not the Martial Ancestor and explained that Master Lu had said the Martial Ancestor looked somewhat like him, leading Yu Tunzhou to suspect the young man was Lu Daolin’s projection body.
