Background
Clear Sky Sect and Moonlight Pavilion
Tang Yuehua was born into the Clear Sky Sect as Tang Hao's younger sister. Her Noble Ring martial soul mutation left her unable to become a conventional Soul Master, but the domain itself was valuable enough to support the sect during its seclusion. Moonlight Pavilion, which she established and led, provided the Clear Sky Sect with a livelihood; her standing in Heaven Dou Imperial City was second only to its ruler. 173 175 216
As Moonlight Pavilion's master, she instructed noble children in etiquette, emotional control, and music. Her Noble Ring made her particularly suited to refining violent or murderous temperaments. 45 216
Su Yi's Teacher
At Marquis Charles's request, Tang Yuehua accepted Su Yi as her direct disciple. She recognized the coldness and vigilance in him, but approached him patiently rather than forcing closeness. Her first lesson was simply teaching him to smile; she later trained him in noble conduct, music, and the control of expression and emotion. 45
Su Yi's time under her instruction enabled him to conceal his killing intent behind a refined, gentle façade, though his underlying personality did not fundamentally change. 47 He continued returning to Moonlight Pavilion after graduating, and gifted Tang Yuehua a Desert Eagle for self-defense when he learned that her mutation still limited her cultivation. 98 101
Break with the Clear Sky Sect
Tang Yuehua was devastated after learning that Su Yi was Spirit Hall's Holy Son and therefore an enemy of the Clear Sky Sect and Tang Hao. Torn between her family and her feelings, she and Su Yi agreed not to question one another's origins or pasts. She ultimately chose to leave with him after three years. 155
A Clear Sky Sect Soul Saint later attempted to purge her as an “ungrateful woman” at Moonlight Pavilion. Su Yi shielded Tang Yuehua and Xue Ke from the Soul Saint's Ring Detonation and self-destruction, sustaining severe injuries while protecting them. This betrayal convinced Tang Yuehua to abandon her former sect and live for herself. 173 211
Peach Blossom Spring and Godhood
Tang Yuehua lived with Su Yi in the Peach Blossom Spring Secret Realm, where Yaya was assigned to protect her. Her relationship with Su Yi became openly romantic, and she was pregnant by the time he departed the realm. 203 204
While bathing in the realm's lake, Tang Yuehua and Yaya were drawn through a whirlpool to the hidden inheritance ground of Sophia, the God of Music. Tang Yuehua initially refused the offer of godhood because eternal life without Su Yi held no value to her. Yaya persuaded her that becoming a god was the only way to remain at Su Yi's side forever. 246
Tang Yuehua passed Sophia's musical trials, inherited the Godhood of Music, and completed a transformation from an unranked Soul Master into a god. 247 288
Appearance
Tang Yuehua is a graceful woman most often depicted in white dresses. Her composed, noble bearing becomes especially pronounced when she releases the Noble Ring domain. 45 97
- Curvaceous figure and a refined, elegant manner. 97
- Her post-inheritance appearance is described as ethereal. 246
- Her serene smile and calm presence can make others feel at ease. 45
Personality
Tang Yuehua is gentle, patient, and emotionally perceptive. She saw Su Yi's hostility as the result of hardship rather than malice, and dedicated herself to helping him develop restraint without denying what he was. 45
Although dignified in public, she is affectionate and playful around Su Yi, often calling him “little bastard” or “little rascal.” She becomes jealous of the noble girls who admire him and openly wants them to see that he is close to her. 139 155
Her devotion to Su Yi ultimately outweighs her loyalty to the Clear Sky Sect. She chooses a dangerous divine inheritance specifically because she believes it will let her remain with him forever. 246 257
Tang Yuehua's affection can also be intrusive. She secretly drugged Su Yi's fish soup, allowed him to believe he had merely fallen asleep, and later considered repeating the act. 200 201
