The Persuader (Part 1)
"Color Pierces the Thoroughfare." Ying Qi repeated softly, carefully considering the three words. After a moment's pause, he spoke again, "This Divine Ability should rightfully be called ' Rainbow Pierces Through '."
He paused, his gaze shifting slightly as if searching through High Antiquity memories, before slowly saying:
"Back then, the Heavenly Venerable Yunzhong debated the Dao with the Heavenly Venerable of Biyou Sun, a disciple of the Bright Yang Sect, for three hundred years above the North Sea. He ultimately defeated the latter and seized a portion of the Celestial Light Intent of the Bright Yang Sect. From then on, the Rainbow Clouds Sect had a complete foundation for its offensive capabilities. Later, the third generation Heavenly Venerable of the Qixia Temple, using the Rainbow Dao-attaining Celestial Venerable as a foundation, thoroughly integrated the Rainbow Clouds Sect's ability to gather and absorb with the Celestial Light Intent of the Bright Yang Sect, thus creating this ' Color Pierces the Thoroughfare '."
As he spoke, he raised his right hand and lightly traced a line in the Great Void with his fingertips.
Immediately afterwards, a five-colored haze overflowed from their fingertips, like a rainbow or a ribbon, hanging between the two of them without dissipating. Within that haze, one could vaguely see countless colors intertwined, each layer flowing, permeating, and connecting, like hundreds of rivers flowing into the sea, or ten thousand paths converging into a thoroughfare.
Looking at the hazy clouds, Ying Qi continued:
"The color of rainbows is the color of the Rainbow Clouds itself. Seven colors overlap, dazzling yet not mixed; this is the true nature of Rainbow Clouds."
As soon as he finished speaking, he lightly touched the tip of his finger, and the mist suddenly condensed, transforming into an extremely thin and bright ray of light, like a rainbow piercing the sun, straight into the depths of the Great Void, illuminating the chaotic spiritual energy.

What you think you are blocking is a beam of light, but in reality, it is a net; what you think you are avoiding is a path, but in reality, you are stepping into another dead end."
He paused, his gaze falling on Zilin, his tone becoming more serious:
"Therefore, the full meaning of this Divine Ability is: to penetrate the barriers of all things with the colors of Rainbow Clouds and reach the thoroughfare of heaven and earth. In the past, the three generations of patriarchs of Qixia Temple used this Divine Ability to subdue all demons and kill several Five Virtues True Lord, relying on the word 'penetrate'. No matter how the Demonic Dao changes, I can penetrate it with a rainbow, and all things will be penetrated; no matter how the Five Virtues True Lords live endlessly, I can spread out a thoroughfare and cut them off. And this Divine Ability is also the only offensive technique of the Rainbow Clouds Divine Ability."
As soon as he finished speaking, a spiritual energy, like the wind, silently flowed through the Great Void. The dissipating lingering glow eventually disappeared into the night, as if it had never existed.
Zilin stood there, speechless for a long time.
She wasn't surprised that this True Person of the Jieshi Dao Lineage and the Wu Earth Dao could so skillfully explain the origins of the Rainbow Clouds lineage's Law Technique. After all, the Heavenly Venerable Yunzhong originally used Wu Earth Subsidiary Rank as his foundation, incorporating the Qi of Mysterious Clarity of the Lesser Yang and Lesser Yin, which allowed him to prove himself through Heaven and Earth and to demonstrate the Rainbow Clouds Dao. Later, the three generations of patriarchs of Qixia Temple went to the Jieshi Dao Lineage to seek a Wu Earth Remaining Rank to concurrently reside in in order to attain enlightenment. Therefore, it was common for the Jieshi Dao Lineage to have the Law Technique of the Rainbow Clouds Dao.
She had no time for such things and instead changed the subject:
"Ying Qi Yingqi, I have been at the Purple Mansion stage for twenty-five years now. The temple has sent me quite a few spirit medicine and pills. I haven't had many things to do these past years, and I've mostly been cultivating in the Golden Ao Mountain. Yet, even now, I've only completed thirty percent of my first Divine Ability power. To achieve perfection, I'm afraid it will be impossible in less than a hundred years. Looking at Fellow Daoists Su and Yang, although they were more than ten years ahead of us, one has already achieved two Divine Ability, and the other is currently breaking through. With Fellow Daoist Su's Dao wisdom, I think it shouldn't be a problem; at most, he'll just have to try again..."

"If Fellow Daoist Su's first Divine Ability wasn't the 'Xia Yu Ke' (Rosy Cloud Feather Wanderer), who Divine Ability both physical and life- Divine Ability, but rather the 'Xia Chi Cheng' (Rosy Clouds Red City), who possessed both technical and life-related Fate Divine Ability, he would likely have achieved mastery of his first Divine Ability ability much faster. After all, in the Rainbow Clouds Rainbow Clouds Path, there are no purely life-related divine abilities. Otherwise, if Fellow Daoist Su's first Divine Ability were the Rainbow Divine Ability Life-related divine Fate Divine Ability, he should have achieved mastery of his first divine ability upon breakthrough, just like Fellow Daoist Yang.
