Abilities & Mechanics
Manifestation and Shared Consciousness
Wang An manifests the Avatar with a thought and operates through it while remaining active in his original body 1 2.
- Synchronized senses: Experiences gathered by the Avatar are available to Wang An 1.
- Simultaneous work: The original body researches meteorite locations and routes while the Avatar searches the mountains 2.
- Immediate access to new skills: After the Avatar’s crossbow craftsmanship enables Wang An to acquire the Mechanic class, the Avatar immediately uses its Enhanced Perception skill 21.
- Shared understanding: During the Illusory Dao Realm incident, insight gained through Wang An’s shared consciousness rapidly increases his Dao wisdom 502.
Appearance Alteration
The Avatar can assume an unfamiliar appearance, allowing Wang An to act publicly without exposing his original identity 1 2.
- Its disguises include changes in height, build, facial features, and apparent demeanor 2 7.
- Wang An uses separate public identities for exploration, transactions, and teaching 7 58 109.
- Maintaining an identity still requires caution: he declines recruitment into the Special Recovery Squad because close contact could expose Wang Quan’s fabricated military background 59.
Avatar Space and Blessed Land
The Avatar is linked to a space used for storage, cultivation, and experimentation 1 79.
- Item transfer: Carries a meteorite into the space in its first appearance; later sends recovered ritual materials and other spoils to Wang An’s original body 1 54.
- Cultivation access: Takes form inside the space and cultivates there, although Wang An states that his original body cannot enter it at that stage 79.
- Energy compatibility: Energy transformed from law qi enters the Avatar without the scorching or freezing properties associated with different kinds of Heaven and Earth Qi 79.
- Development: The space becomes the Avatar Blessed Land, later expanding into a supernatural immortal mountain 103 140.
Cultivation and Technical Experimentation
The Avatar allows Wang An to investigate cultivation methods while his original body pursues other work 16 78 79.
- Works out the practical details of Refining Qi into Spirit, including how to judge the appropriate conditions at each step 16.
- Tests the external behavior of Essence Qi, True Qi, and Spirit Qi; Wang An records the resulting observations 78.
- Manufactures and calibrates compound crossbows and carbon arrows, helping satisfy the requirements for the Mechanic class 21.
- Refines a protective staff for the original body using an extraordinary redwood branch, Law Runes, and Creation Spirit Awakening 122.
Connection Severance
The connection between the Avatar and original body can become a route for hostile effects, but Wang An can interrupt it 364.
- The Myriad Phenomena Illusory God Scale traps the Avatar in the Thousand Tribulations Ten Thousand Generations Rebirth Realm and attempts to reach the original body 364.
- Wang An cuts their memory connection and withdraws his consciousness and twelve super-material star worlds 364.
- This does not immediately free the Avatar: the scale continues pulling its will into the reincarnation realm 364.

History and Major Uses
Concealed Development and Exploration
Wang An initially uses the Avatar to gather meteorites while remaining out of sight. Its ability to change appearance lets him separate these activities from his life at home. A disguised Avatar subsequently sells a patterned meteorite for 3.2 million yuan, funding further preparations 1 2 7.
As Wang Quan, the Avatar leads exploration expeditions, collects Class Change Stones, and records the terrain and qi circulation of promising cultivation sites. During the first seven-day Mount Huaiyu expedition, it obtains twenty stones while the other team members know of only eight 24 28 29 41.
At a cult ritual site, it defeats the cultists, withdraws before the formation of dangerous Black-Red Qi, and later returns to investigate. It ultimately recovers thirty Class Change Stones, ritual equipment, and survey data for Wang An 52 53 54.
Heavenly River Dao Field
The Avatar identifies a suitable mountain for the Heavenly River Water formation and later reshapes the feng shui layout around Heavenly River Mountain. The resulting arrangement draws Heaven and Earth Qi from more than a thousand square kilometers of the Three Rivers Source region 84 107.
Acting as Perfected Heavenly River, it confers registers on twenty students and teaches the Heavenly Register Qi Refining Cultivator profession. After a month, it retains Chen Ping, Lu Xinyu, and Ye Li as true disciples, appointing Lu Xinyu to manage the Dao Field 109 114.
Its work also includes constructing cultivation grounds, producing Lesser Class Stones, refining artifacts, and teaching its disciples new spells 113 119 122 140.
Interstellar Representation
After reaching Middle Tier, the Avatar becomes Wang An’s representative in exchanges beyond Blue Star. It evacuates selected prodigies and resources from Clear Void Heaven, then visits the Bronze Academy and Azure Sacrifice Star with Taizhen and Taichang 172 197 210.
The Avatar also participates in later large-scale conflicts. It survives a devastating attack with the Light-Riding Ritual Master’s assistance, becomes trapped by eight substellar beasts, and is eventually caught alongside other kings in an Illusory Dao Realm 334 396 502.
Limitations and Vulnerabilities
- Early physical limits: Despite its superior strength, the Avatar judges that sustained close combat against a large boar herd could wear it down and kill it 29.
- No original-body entry at the early space stage: Wang An can observe and experiment through the Avatar inside its space, but cannot personally enter it at that point 79.
- Resource expenditure: Producing five Divine Ability talismans in rapid succession visibly weakens its aura, even at the peak of Initial Tier level three 158.
- Not immune to injury: The Light-Riding Ritual Master must restore the Avatar after an attack involving a numinous treasure’s sword tip. Wang An’s true self also discovers damage to the Rooftop Earth Golden Nature’s projection 334.
- Susceptible to confinement: Eight substellar beasts repeatedly repair the damage it deals to the Eight-Star Restriction Formation Domain, preventing escape 396.
- Psychic and illusion threats: Both the reincarnation realm and the later Illusory Dao Realm can trap it; the former also threatens its connection to Wang An’s original body 364 502.
Notable Equipment
- Compound crossbow — Built and refined by the Avatar; approximately 140-pound draw weight, with standard-ring accuracy at roughly 60–70 meters and an effective range of 85 meters. Powerful but slow to reload 21.
- Custom compound bow — Nominally a 100-pound model, with a tested maximum draw weight potentially reaching 120 pounds 30.
- Machete — Used extensively against wild boars, cultists, and the rat king 28 53 73.
- Pillars and Beams Bear Heaven Staff — Protective extraordinary-grade artifact made from an extraordinary redwood branch; later carried during the Avatar’s public appearance over the ocean 122 135.
- Lightning bamboo dharma sword — A First-Tier Middle Grade artifact with seventy-two core runes and lightning, spellbreaking, and paralysis capabilities 149.
