Back on Bamboo Creek Island, he began studying alchemy and buying supplies at Forget-Return Market, where Han Ziyue arranged an attack that left Zhou Ning wary of further investigation until he grew stronger.
Zhou Ning rose from a low-ranking cultivator to a Su Household Alchemist, survived the attack on Bamboo Creek Island, and entered the Withered Wood Grotto-Heaven. There he joined He Zhuoran and used a holy-man disguise to approach a True Person’s cave abode as cultivators gathered to enter.
Zhou Ning survived the Land of Wei’s dangers, expanded his alchemy and cultivation, and became entangled in the Su Household’s feud with the Han Household. As the Azure Ruins Secret Realm approached, he kept his secrets close and withdrew from the Su Household’s conflict.
Zhou Ning established his Immortal Foundation, returned to Cuiwei Lake, and began settling old scores with the Su Household. After killing several of its cultivators and taking its spirit herbs, he drew the attention of Azure Mystic Sect leaders, who sent Guo Changying to contact him despite her desire for revenge.
