This was a vast expanse of reddish-yellow desert. Fierce winds swept grains of sand across it, their howling carrying a faint chill. In this desolate place, hardly a soul could be seen as far as the eye could reach. There was only endless windblown sand and the sound of the wind.

This was the outskirts of the Dark Forest, a place also known as the Chaotic Territory.

A fierce wind blew across a patch of pale yellow grass in the desert, bending the stalks and faintly revealing a dark figure among them.

Beside the figure lay an enormous creature several hundred meters long. Its silvery-white scales were covered in wounds, and its massive wings were just as battered. It was none other than Luo Feng's mount, the Silver Dragon Wa'ersi, which meant the dark figure had to be Luo Feng.

Despite his grievous injuries, the Silver Dragon had carried Luo Feng away from Kenyon with all his strength. At last, the Silver Dragon Wa'ersi could hold on no longer. His wings could no longer beat, and his eyelids grew heavy with exhaustion. It was no easy feat to carry Luo Feng so far while so badly injured. Finally, he plummeted straight down.

Luo Feng's clothes were badly tattered, and he was covered in blood. His breathing was so faint that, if not for the slight rise and fall of his chest, anyone would have thought he was a corpse abandoned in the desert.

And so Luo Feng lay there, breathing faintly. Perhaps before long he would breathe his last. Perhaps he would never wake again.

Fortunately, although the Silver Dragon was also unconscious, the aura of a Level Nine Magical Beast kept quite a few lower-level magical beasts at bay, sparing Luo Feng the possibility of being carried off by one.

Time passed slowly. The sun sank in the west and the moon rose in the east. One day, two days, one month, two months passed. It was not until the third month that the Silver Dragon Wa'ersi slowly woke.

The dragon race's bodies and regenerative abilities certainly lived up to their reputation. Though the Silver Dragon Wa'ersi's injuries were not as severe as Luo Feng's, they were not far off. In just three months, the Silver Dragon Wa'ersi had regained consciousness. Looking at his battered body, he could not help admiring Luo Feng.

"Huh, where's Master? Master, Master, wake up!" the Silver Dragon called through voice transmission. But there was no response from Luo Feng, and the Silver Dragon Wa'ersi grew anxious. There was nothing he could do about it now, though. His master was covered in wounds, and he himself was gravely injured, unable to cast a single Light Element healing spell. With no other choice, the Silver Dragon picked Luo Feng up in his jaws and entered the Dark Forest. He found a place to shelter and slowly recuperated from his injuries while waiting for Luo Feng to wake.

Another five months passed, and the Silver Dragon had completely recovered. Looking at the energetic dragon, one could only marvel at how incredible the dragon race was, with such formidable powers of recovery and regeneration.

"Roar!" Dragon roars rang out through the Dark Forest.

Level Nine Light Element magic-Blessing of the Radiant Sovereign

Vast Light Element magical power turned into countless fine threads, weaving together into a milky-white ring of light. Heaven and earth shook. What had been an endless night was now illuminated by the dazzling milky-white glow. Luo Feng was enveloped at its center, the wounds on his body slowly closing.

As the milky-white ring gradually shrank, its glow was slowly absorbed into Luo Feng's body. As time passed and the ring surrounding him grew smaller, a faint white light appeared over his entire body, which was simultaneously healing at an astonishing speed.

After a night, his broken bones and wounds had finally healed completely. The Silver Dragon laid Luo Feng flat on the ground and stared at him without blinking.

After a long while, Luo Feng's fingers twitched, and his eyes slowly opened. He saw the Silver Dragon lying on the ground, looking at him. Master and servant stared at each other in a daze until the Silver Dragon finally cried, "Master, you're finally awake! I've been waiting for you for so long."

Luo Feng touched the scars on his body, which had almost healed, and asked the Silver Dragon, "How did I escape after Kenyon defeated me?"

"Master, I picked you up in my jaws when Kenyon had used up most of his Battle-qi and wasn't paying attention. Then I carried you away. Don't you remember, Master? I wanted to fight him to the bitter end, but you told me to run, and that was how we escaped," the Silver Dragon said.

Luo Feng shook his still-aching head and said, "Yes, I remember now. You seemed to be badly hurt too. How are you now?"

"Don't worry, Master. I'm a purebred Light Element dragon. Even among magical beasts, my regenerative and recovery abilities are among the best," the Silver Dragon said proudly.

"Wa'ersi, how long was I unconscious?" Luo Feng asked.

The Silver Dragon grinned. "Master, you were unconscious for almost nine months."

"Thank you this time, Wa'ersi. Without you, I'd have been dead for sure." Luo Feng gave a self-mocking smile. "I thought that even if I couldn't defeat a Saint Domain expert, I'd have no trouble escaping. I never expected that even Kenyon, who had only just entered the Saint Domain, would be so troublesome. It seems Sasi really wasn't using his full strength back then."

Seeing his master's dejected expression, the Silver Dragon asked worriedly, "Master, are you all right?"

"I'm fine, Wa'ersi. I've just grown a little proud over the years, even conceited. Kenyon's appearance was a wake-up call. My strength really doesn't amount to much right now. Things have gone smoothly for me for so long that I've become much more conceited. Still, this battle wasn't without its gains. When I faced Kenyon's final move, I felt that I had crossed the threshold of 'force.' I believe that, given some time, I can fully comprehend it. Then I'll be able to break through to the Saint Domain as well," Luo Feng said with a faint smile.

Battles between life and death brought the fastest progress. During his three years of challenges in the imperial capital, he had been injured, but the experience had not been so profound, nor had he gained such insight. Walking the line between life and death really was the fastest path of cultivation.

Hearing Luo Feng's words, the Silver Dragon exclaimed in delight, "Master, really? You've really crossed the threshold of 'force'? Doesn't that mean you're only one step away from the Saint Domain? All you need is to accumulate Battle-qi?"

"Yes. Within three years, I'll definitely be able to fully master 'force.' I've decided not to go out to gain experience for the next few years. I'll concentrate on comprehending nature and refining my Battle-qi. I believe I can reach the Saint Domain within ten years," Luo Feng said with a smile as he looked at the overjoyed Silver Dragon.

"Haha, I never imagined the master I chose would break through to become a Saint Domain expert at such a young age. It's simply incredible." The Silver Dragon was still immersed in his delight.
