Background and History
Rebirth and early training
In his previous life, Luo Feng was a gifted university student. Reborn into the world of Coiling Dragon, he retained knowledge of its original story and cultivation system. In Yulan Calendar 9806, he recognized that he had arrived roughly two hundred years before the original story began and resolved to surpass the War God and High Priest 3 9 64.
After both parents died, Luo Feng and his younger brother Luo Fu depended on each other. Despite becoming a First-Rank Warrior at six and a half, he rejected Jill Academy’s invitation rather than leave his three-year-old brother behind. He remained in Yellow Sand Town for another three years before taking Luo Fu to Basil, where both entered Philipzi Warrior Academy 4 21.
His early training centered on a secluded waterfall, repeated mountain runs, and carrying heavy rocks uphill. The waterfall’s pounding also cultivated the steady temperament that accompanied his growing physical strength 2 3.
Magical Beast Forest and imperial capital
After five years at the academy, Luo Feng sought practical experience in the Magical Beast Forest. He spent three years there, developed Swift Wind, and challenged the Silver Dragon Wa’ersi. By the journey home, Wa’ersi had become his contracted companion and mount 10 17 19 20.
In the O’Brien imperial capital, Luo Feng defeated War God Sect disciples and repeatedly challenged Saint Domain experts. His reputation grew, but so did his arrogance. Kenyon’s attack exposed the gap between them and left Luo Feng seriously injured, forcing him to reconsider his confidence and obsession with cultivation 32 33 37.
Dark Forest and the Necropolis of the Gods
During his recovery beside a lake, the sounds of wind through the woods helped Luo Feng resolve his spiritual crisis. Six years of cultivation and zither playing in the Dark Forest followed. After entering the Saint Domain, he returned to War God Mountain, defeated Kenyon in one exchange, spared him, and declared their feud finished 37 40 44.
In the Necropolis of the Gods, Luo Feng studied Ice through the Ba-Serpent and nearly died to the Evil Eye King’s soul attack. His fifteen-year unconscious confinement ended in a successful Three-element Soul Mutation. He later returned to defeat the Evil Eye King, reached the twelfth floor, and earned Mona’s friendship through six months of fighting 57 64 65 72.
When his twenty-year term ended, Luo Feng reunited with Luo Fu and returned to the Yulan Continent. He told the waiting experts that he had reached the eleventh floor, despite having visited the twelfth 73.
Gebados exile and return
Unable to defeat Luo Feng directly, planar overseer Hodan tricked him into a spatial rift and banished him to the Gebados Plane Prison. In the Ice Prison, Luo Feng survived pursuit while gravely wounded, hid beneath the snow, and cultivated Lightning to godhood 83 88.
He subsequently guided Ace and the other brothers, fought to stimulate breakthroughs, and attracted attention in the Fiendgod Citadel’s arena. He also joined the citadel’s war against the City of Slaughter 92 94 99 103.
Luo Feng eventually escaped by following Dylan through Misty Villa. He learned that Luo Fu had moved the villa to the South Sea while cultivating to avenge him—a relocation that had unexpectedly made the escape possible. On returning, he found that his brother’s descendants had grown into the Luo Clan and revered him as its legendary ancestor 111.
Marriage and the Infernal Realm
Luo Feng became involved in Linley’s struggle with the Radiant Church after Bebe sought his help. His intervention helped preserve both Linley and Doehring Cowart, which Luo Feng regarded as repayment of a debt to Linley 118 122.
His relationship with Catherine began abruptly when he split the High Priest’s mask and saw her face. Her homeland’s customs reserved that privilege for a husband. Initially unsettled, Luo Feng fled the encounter, but their companionship developed into affection, and he later proposed. They married privately at Misty Villa 129 131.
In late autumn 10083, Luo Feng left for the Infernal Realm with Catherine, Ace, and Ace’s five brothers. He pursued Fiend missions, settled in Fallen Moon City, and became a father to Luo Si. Seeking stronger opponents rather than political authority, he eventually challenged Kale and took the position of North Prison Prefecture Master 131 140 146 147 150 153 154.
Paragons and the final breakthrough
After his long cultivation inside the Wind Spirit Primal Stone, Luo Feng emerged as a Wind Paragon. He tested his strength against Beirut and won their sparring match, although both sustained injuries. He later returned with Catherine to the Yulan Continent and proposed moving most of the Luo Clan to the Infernal Realm 159 165 175.
On the Planar Battlefield, his Water clone intervened when Benfield pursued Linley and Bebe. After his Lightning clone also became a Paragon, Luo Feng resolved to advance beyond Paragon and ultimately surpass the Overgods 180 191.
When six Paragons fought him, Luo Feng killed Marco, Magnus, Bamer, and Baie. Clementine and Lansford escaped into the chaotic flow between planes 198.
His battle with Orloff provided the insight needed for another breakthrough: perfecting wind required crossing time and space. His body began disintegrating because it could not obtain suitable energy, but Linley supplied gray power that he could absorb. Luo Feng completed the transformation into an Overgod 212 213.
Appearance
- Build and features: Nearly 1.6 meters tall at ten, with sharply defined features, deep eyes, and streamlined, cheetah-like musculature 3.
- Early hair and scars: Waist-length ink-black hair and bronze skin marked by claw scars from the Crimson Wind Cloud Leopard 20.
- Clothing: Wore plain linen clothes when returning to challenge Kenyon as a Saint Domain expert 44.
- Later appearance: Retained the youthful appearance of a man in his twenties, developing a more mature, scholarly elegance rather than visibly aging 80 111.
- Later hair: Appeared with pale-violet hair reaching his hips when challenging the North Prison Prefecture Master 151.
- Overgod mark: His Windwalker forehead mark changed from brilliant cyan to gray after his final breakthrough 213.
Personality
Luo Feng values persistence more than the label of genius. He trained relentlessly from childhood, deliberately chose the warrior path rather than divide his time between magic and martial cultivation, and sought dangerous opponents to force further growth. Fame, wealth, and office mattered less to him than reaching the peak 19 25 94 150.
His early success made him cold, conceited, and overconfident. Kenyon’s attack shattered that self-image. Through reflection and six years in the Dark Forest, he became more serene, approachable, and graceful without abandoning his ambition 37 40 44.
His warmth is most apparent with family. He repeatedly sacrificed opportunities for Luo Fu, comforted him through rejection, and continued treating him as his little brother after both became powerful experts. With Catherine he is dependable; with Luo Si he can be as mischievous as a child 4 22 73 147.
That affection coexists with extreme ruthlessness. Luo Feng threatens entire clans when loved ones are endangered and regards serious humiliation as something to repay in blood. Nevertheless, he can spare defeated opponents: he released the Crimson Wind Cloud Leopard for helping his comprehension and ended his feud with Kenyon without killing him 17 44 49 120.
Abilities & Skills
Wind Laws
Wind is Luo Feng’s strongest field of comprehension, supported by his affinity, insight, and zither-assisted harmony with nature 107 123.
- Swift Wind: A rapid punching technique combining Battle-qi with insight into Speed. Its overlapping fist shadows and controlled gusts create a difficult-to-escape fighting zone; an opponent who stays outside that zone may still outrun him 17 18.
- Extremity of Wind: A material attack using palm-generated wind and the Laws of Wind, replacing his earlier reliance on fierce charges 40 41.
- Roar of the Wind: An attack he used against the Evil Eye King while keeping his distance from its golden eye 64.
- Full Moon Dance: Fuses Speed, Sound Waves, and Vocal Music into a single attack that damages both body and soul 105.
- Misty Villa: An ultimate technique that creates a space capable of severely restricting a material-attack specialist such as Kale 153.
- Dimensional Slash: After body tempering, he could casually split space with a blade-like movement of his hand 173.
Zither Music and Soul Attacks
Luo Feng’s music serves as both a cultivation aid and a weapon 40 107.
- Illusionary Realm of Wind: A soul attack developed through the Laws of Vocal Music, capable of trapping an opponent within the music’s illusion 40.
- Long-range attacks: His zither music produced spatial ripples that killed a Ninth-Level Frenzied Thunder Swift Wind Eagle thousands of meters away 123.
- Cultivation support: Music cleanses his soul, steadies his mind, and helps him enter states favorable to insight 97 107.
- Limits: Resistance to spiritual attacks can blunt this approach; the Four-Tailed Illusion Civet resisted his spiritual attacks before eventually surrendering 99.
Soul Mutation and Divine-Power Fusion
His Three-element Soul Mutation links his wind, water, and lightning cultivation and improves his ability to comprehend and deduce laws 65 68.
- Two-element fusion produced divine power ten times stronger than ordinary power at the same level; three-element fusion increased that to a hundred times 88.
- Fused divine power improves both attacks and movement speed 89.
- Differences in clone rank can prevent fusion, as occurred when his Wind clone became a Midgod before his other clones 97.
- The mutation initially granted no Willpower. Only after later Paragon breakthroughs did Willpower become central to his strength 88 159 191.
Water and Lightning
- Ice: Learned to condense moisture into ice by studying the Ba-Serpent’s aura 57.
- Water-assisted recovery: Used Water Divine Power to repair injuries while Wind Divine Power carried him away from pursuers 88.
- Water fusion: Eventually fused five Water Mysteries, substantially strengthening that clone 180.
- Lightning cultivation: Learned to gather lightning elements through their natural relationships rather than force them together with spiritual power; ultimately raised the clone to Paragon 88 191.
Physical Combat and Body Tempering
- Unarmed combat: Uses fists, feet, elbows, knees, shoulders, and other body parts with economical, direct movements 6.
- Sovereign Artifact-level body: Tempered his Wind clone with several thousand drops of Sovereign’s Might 173.
- Clone-specific limit: Filtered spatial power inside the Wind Spirit Primal Stone expanded only his Wind clone’s bodily potential; his Water and Lightning clones could not reach the same limit 175.
- Paragon-level soul resistance: Withstood coordinated soul attacks from opposing Paragons without being affected 198.
