Old Acquaintances Meet
Far off on the horizon, the enormous, hundred-meter-long silhouette of a dragon coiled through the sky. Its huge eyes were as large as washbasins, and silvery-white scales covered its entire body, gleaming with a strange radiance in the sunlight.
Two enormous, sharp claws gleamed on its knotted, muscular hind legs. Its pair of vast, leathery wings spread a full hundred meters, blotting out the sky and whipping the surrounding air into a howling gale that seemed capable of tearing anything apart. A smaller claw grew at the tip of each wing, and a tail nearly thirty meters long trailed behind it.
"Master, what did the War God want with you earlier? Did he make things difficult for you because of Kenyon?" the Silver Dragon beneath Luo Feng's feet suddenly asked. In its eyes, Luo Feng was now the most important person in its life. Without Luo Feng, it would not have become the Saint Domain Silver Dragon it was today. Everything it now had was thanks to its master.
"It was nothing. It was just about Kenyon. He didn't make things difficult for me. In fact, he gave me a spatial ring," Luo Feng said with a faint smile in response to the Silver Dragon's question. Although Luo Feng knew that the War God had not pursued the matter of him injuring his disciple, he had actually let it go out of respect for Harry and his brothers. After all, even if the War God was a Lowgod who had refined a divine spark, he was not someone Luo Feng could afford to provoke-at least not now. A Deity-level expert could kill a Saint Domain expert more easily than crushing an ant. A Saint Domain expert was far too insignificant before the War God.
But Luo Feng disliked the feeling of borrowing someone else's power to intimidate others. There were no laws in this world, only strength. Luo Feng had strength, so nothing had happened to him even after he severely injured Kenyon. The strength of Harry and his two brothers was plain to see, so naturally the War God did not dare act recklessly. In the end, everything came down to strength.
Luo Feng gazed at the crimson spatial ring on a finger of his left hand and sighed with emotion. He still remembered when he had been nothing more than a farm boy from an ordinary mountain village. Now, he had become a Saint Domain expert whose name was known throughout the continent. Life was unpredictable; no one could foresee the future. Only through his own unremitting efforts could he have a better tomorrow.
A gale howled around a middle-aged man in fine robes standing in midair ahead. The wind made his long robes billow, but his body remained as solid as a rock, his imposing presence as deep as an abyss! He now appeared in Luo Feng and the Silver Dragon's sight, seemingly having waited there for quite some time.
"Little brother Luo Feng, that's not very considerate of you. You've only just arrived in the imperial capital, and you're already getting ready to leave. Have you forgotten your old brother here?" the middle-aged man in fine robes asked Luo Feng with a smile.
Standing atop the Silver Dragon's head, Luo Feng saw who it was and smiled. "How could I possibly forget you, old man? It's been six years, and you're still making such a grand display." The newcomer was none other than Sasi Moska, Luo Feng's friend despite their difference in age. How could Luo Feng forget their bond, part mentor and part friend? Although Sasi had held back when they fought, making Luo Feng feel that the gap between Saint Domain and the ninth rank was not all that great, it had been an unintentional mistake. He had meant well; Luo Feng himself had simply been caught up in the progress of his strength back then.
"You're a Saint Domain expert. Under normal circumstances, you won't die, and living a hundred thousand years is easy for you. Why would I be in such a hurry to find you? Besides, I still have a few things I need to do, so I'm in a hurry to leave. You old thing, how did you know I was back? Seems like I only just got back myself." Luo Feng smiled at Sasi Moska.
"What could I do? The moment you came back, you went looking for Kenyon and severely injured him in a single move. Now everyone in the imperial capital is talking about you, so naturally I knew you were back," Sasi Moska said with a smile. To be honest, Luo Feng's strength had astounded him. Six years ago, Luo Feng had barely managed to hurt him even when he held back. And now? He could rival a Saint Domain Peak expert. Sasi Moska had kept wondering whether he was getting old.
Even so, Sasi Moska was overjoyed. Back then, he had lowered himself to spar with an Eighth-level Warrior, holding back the whole time, and had even been injured when he let his guard down. Why had he done all that? Hadn't it been because he saw Luo Feng's potential? How could Sasi Moska not be delighted? He had gained the friendship of a Saint Domain Peak expert. His gamble back then had paid off.
"Back then, he disregarded his dignity as a Saint Domain expert and attacked me, a mere Warrior of the Ninth Rank. Wa'ersi and I barely escaped that battle with our lives. Now that I've broken through to Saint Domain, it was time I came back to settle the debt," Luo Feng said nonchalantly.
"By the way, old man, your strength seems to have improved a little over these six years. You're not far from the Saint Realm Middle Stage, are you?" Luo Feng said with a smile.
"Hehe, no matter how much my strength improves, I can't catch up to you. You'd only just entered Saint Domain, yet you defeated the War God's personal disciple in one move. That was truly domineering." Hearing Luo Feng's words, Sasi Moska played it down, but inwardly he could not hide his pride.
"All right, old man. I've been away for ten years. I wonder how my younger brother is doing now, and whether he's doing well at Philipzi Warrior Academy. I'm getting ready to go home now. We can get together sometime when we're free. I haven't seen him in ten years, and I really do miss the little fellow." Hearing Sasi Moska's words, Luo Feng could not help shaking his head. That old man-he couldn't be bothered watching him bask in pride.
"Huh? Little brother Luo Feng, you have a younger brother? He's studying at the warrior academy? You're so strong, yet you don't teach him yourself? Oh, I forgot, you were only nineteen when you first came to the imperial capital. Even so, you're only twenty-nine now! I often find myself thinking of you as someone our age. I have to say, little brother Luo Feng, your talent truly is monstrous." Sasi Moska was taken aback at first, then understood. Luo Feng was only twenty-nine, after all, so it was normal for him to have a younger brother. As for teaching him, everyone had their own aspirations.
Then, Sasi Moska thought of something, and a strange smile appeared on his face. "Little brother Luo Feng, since your brother is grown up now, I have a granddaughter who's pretty and adorable. How about I betroth her to your brother?"
Luo Feng shot him an annoyed glance. "You old thing, don't think I don't know what you're plotting. You've got it all figured out, having my brother marry your granddaughter. Do you want my brother to call you grandfather? Trying to get one over on me, Luo Feng? I think your brain must not be working right."
The old man was shameless indeed. Acting as though nothing were amiss, he asked in surprise, "How could that be? Their relationship is theirs, and ours is ours. Don't you agree, little brother Luo Feng?"
Luo Feng couldn't be bothered with the old man Sasi and sat down cross-legged. The Silver Dragon beneath him naturally understood its master's meaning and swept its enormous wings, preparing to leave.
"Hey, little brother Luo Feng, what do you think? It's a pretty good idea, isn't it? When do you think we should have the two of them marry? We old brothers can still treat each other as equals." Seeing that Luo Feng was about to leave, Sasi naturally flew after him, trying to keep up.
But the Silver Dragon was now a Saint-level Magical Beast, while Sasi was only at the Saint Domain Initial Stage Peak, so naturally he could not catch up. The Silver Dragon laughed. "Old man, my master's brother won't take just one wife. How about I have him look up your granddaughter in the imperial capital when he wants to take his eightieth concubine?"
That remark from the Silver Dragon was vicious enough to leave the old man Sasi fuming where he was. So the treasured daughter of my esteemed Mosca Clan is only fit to be a concubine? Just you wait, brat.
"Old man, I'm going back to the Northwest Province. If you need me in the future, you can find me there." Long afterward, Luo Feng's voice echoed through the sky.
