Killing intent surged from every part of Luo Feng's body. With nowhere left to dodge, he suddenly moved. His right foot slammed into the ground, and he sprang forward like a gale, darting past the three Rock Turtles directly in front of him before they could even try to evade.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Luo Feng flew through the air and kicked three times in quick succession, his feet slamming into the three Rock Turtles' heads. Shrill screams and the unmistakable crack of breaking skulls rang through the forest. Like tattered sacks tossed by a gale, the three Rock Turtles' enormous bodies tumbled wildly backward, blood spraying from them...

"Boom, boom..." With thunderous crashes, they slammed into the thick trunks of ancient trees more than ten meters away. Without exception, a deep, clearly defined dent had been caved into each of their incomparably hard heads.

Luo Feng's gaze was cold and fierce, like thousand-year-old ice, as he stared at the Rock Turtles. Seeing their own kind die such miserable deaths, the Rock Turtles showed no sign of retreating. Instead, the smell of blood seemed to rouse an even more brutal ferocity in them! Every one of them growled low and charged recklessly from all directions. Their eerie green eyes glimmered with bloodlust as they fixed on the human before them, filled with boundless hatred...

Luo Feng was furious. A pack of first-rank Rock Turtles had crossed his bottom line again and again. Ever since transmigrating to the Coiling Dragon World, Luo Feng had never been weak again. He had come here to train since he was three. Though he had only done the simplest exercises, they showed that Luo Feng refused to settle for an ordinary life. Now he was a Warrior of the Third Rank, yet a pack of first-rank magical beasts had left him in such a sorry state. How could he not be angry?

His body twisting and leaping like a swimming dragon, Luo Feng seemed to have become a pure killing machine. He walked slowly, step by step, across the blood-soaked ground, his calm face betraying not the slightest expression. Every Rock Turtle that dared pounce at him was smashed into a bloody pulp by his savage, unparalleled strength.

When water was still, not a ripple disturbed it; when it surged, its waves rolled on without end. That was just like Luo Feng's mood now: unbearably restless. Only slaughter-in the name of slaughter, he would soothe his unresigned heart. Luo Feng kept killing.

At that moment, he seemed to have become a death god who controlled life, repeating the most perfect killing techniques over and over. His movements were simple and direct, wasting not even the tiniest bit of strength.

Whether hands, feet, elbows, head, knees, arms, or shoulders, all became Luo Feng's most perfect killing weapons.

Hooking kicks, side kicks, straight punches... Amid shrill howls, hot blood sprayed across the forest floor, staining it red. As though crushed beneath an enormous heavy truck, bones cracked incessantly. Every Rock Turtle in Luo Feng's path burst into a spray of blood and flesh, dying on the spot!

Luo Feng kept advancing. The Rock Turtles that frantically pounced at him could not slow his progress in the slightest.

As he advanced, he left nothing behind him but mangled corpses and crimson blood covering the ground!

His foot kicked fiercely against the ground, and with a "Whoosh," Luo Feng shot toward the Rock Turtle leader like an arrow loosed from a bow. Then he changed direction, leaping to the right, where there were fewer Rock Turtles.

After another sweep like a gale scattering clouds, Luo Feng finally wiped out all the Rock Turtles around him. Standing opposite the Rock Turtle King, a ruthless light flashed in his eyes. A fourth-rank magical beast-so what? With no Rock Turtles in the way, they could fight a proper battle to the death.

Let's see which of us survives in the end, you or me.

Leaving footprints in the yellow sand with every step, Luo Feng fixed his gaze on the Rock Turtle King ahead. The Rock Turtle King seemed to understand Luo Feng's intentions, and a trace of disdain flashed at the corner of its eye. The human before it really was ignorant: a Warrior of the Third Rank actually dared challenge it, a fourth-rank magical beast, one-on-one. Even so, it prepared to fight Luo Feng to the death, one-on-one.

With a "Swish," the Rock Turtle King turned into a streak of light and shot toward Luo Feng. Its attack had arrived, a storm of blows roaring straight at him.

Luo Feng tilted his body, narrowly dodging the attack. Turning sideways, he swung a fist carrying the full force of his Battle-qi. The punch sent the Rock Turtle King flying. After a brief pause, the Rock Turtle King climbed up again. Luo Feng's Battle-qi, unleashed at full strength, had merely cracked a corner of the shell on its back.

"Is the gap between the third and fourth ranks really that great?" Luo Feng murmured without even looking at his bleeding fist. "I refuse to believe it. After all those years of training, my life has only just begun. I won't lose it here at the hands of a little Rock Turtle King."

Luo Feng gritted his teeth and exerted himself again. Unfortunately, his fight with the Rock Turtles had consumed most of his Battle-qi. Now only a faint light of Battle-qi covered his fist; without a close look, it seemed no different from when he wasn't using Battle-qi.

Gritting his teeth, Luo Feng went at it, expressing his unwillingness with punch after punch. Even without Battle-qi covering his fists, even after their Battle-qi light had vanished completely, Luo Feng kept swinging.

"Smack! Smack! Smack!" The Rock Turtle King suddenly struck back. It turned sideways and lashed its short tail into Luo Feng.

"Pfft!" Struck by the tail, Luo Feng spat out a mouthful of blood and crumpled to the ground. The Rock Turtle King staggered toward him. It hated the bastard before it to the bone for daring to challenge its authority and killing countless underlings, but even the fourth-rank Rock Turtle King had suffered serious injuries under Luo Feng's storm of attacks.

Watching the Rock Turtle King draw closer and closer, Luo Feng's unwilling eyes filled with resolve. Battle-qi rose once more around his fist, gathering bit by bit. One final blow. If it doesn't die, then I will. I'm betting everything on it.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" His face flushed red, Luo Feng summoned the last of his strength and struck the cracked shell of the Rock Turtle King with his Battle-qi.

Afterward, Luo Feng, utterly spent, could no longer feel anything. He lost consciousness amid pain and overwhelming exhaustion.

A bright moon hung high in the sky, and the heavy clouds had scattered completely. Soft moonlight spilled down, drifting into the sea of trees like great swathes of white feathers. Beneath the brilliant moon, the entire forest seemed draped in a thin veil. The hazy moonlight lent a sacred air to a place that had seemed somewhat eerie at night.

Luo Feng slowly opened his eyes. He moved a finger slightly, and an agonizing pain tore through him. There wasn't a single uninjured patch of flesh on his hands; the bones beneath were even faintly visible. It was enough to show how brutal the battle had been.

Unable to move as he lay on the ground, Luo Feng managed a faint smile. In the end, I won. A Warrior of the Third Rank had killed a fourth-rank magical beast. Luo Feng had earned himself a source of pride with the result of his first battle.

Since he couldn't move, Luo Feng could only slowly circulate the Battle-qi within him, gradually repairing his damaged body.

Threads of Battle-qi flowed through the acupoints on Luo Feng's body and into his fine meridians. As his control grew stronger, they gradually began to circulate. Once a full cycle was complete, a faint azure glow appeared in the bones and flesh within his body.

"Crack!" Suddenly, he heard a crisp sound from his bones, and the circulation of his Battle-qi sped up considerably. At that moment, Luo Feng felt it: he had broken through, becoming a Warrior of the Fourth Rank.

The night grew deeper, and the starlight dimmed.

Luo Feng slowly climbed to his feet. His depleted Battle-qi had finally been replenished. He had few injuries on his body; most of what covered him was blood left by the Rock Turtles during the battle.

Only his hands still showed stark white bones so clearly. Even so, Luo Feng was in an excellent mood. Several hundred first-rank magical beast cores, along with one third-rank and one fourth-rank magical beast core, were enough to cover the expenses of Luo Feng and his brother at the academy. More importantly, he had broken through to become a Warrior of the Fourth Rank during the battle.

Luo Feng gathered his spoils and slowly headed home, leaving a field of corpses behind. They bore witness to his bloody battle with the Rock Turtles, and to his glory.
