  • Luo Feng played his guqin, drawing Tina into the music without killing her, and picked the Nether Fruit.
  • Tina identified herself as the guardian and told Luo Feng he could become an Overgod Emissary, but Luo Feng said he only wanted the fruit and tried to leave.
  • Asers arrived and ordered Luo Feng to go to the Sovereign Palace; Tina joined them, still hoping Luo Feng would teach her the guqin.

Ch. 171No Choice but to Become an Overgod Emissary

  • Asers led Luo Feng into the Sovereign of Death's palace, where the Sovereign praised Luo Feng for reaching Paragon level in just over a thousand years.
  • Luo Feng explained that he had trained for two million years in a place where time flowed slowly, then refused the Sovereign's offer to make him an Overgod Emissary.
  • Luo Feng invoked the reward owed to anyone who fought their way up Nether Mountain and asked for more Nether Fruits.
  • The Sovereign of Death agreed to give Luo Feng a second Nether Fruit if he became her emissary, but forbade him from giving the fruits to his wife or son or competing for more.

  • The Sovereign of Death sent Luo Feng away, and he escaped Nether Mountain before she could drive him off.
  • Luo Feng's water and lightning divine clones ate Nether Fruits in a secret chamber in North Prison Prefecture.
  • Luo Feng realized the fruits used the Nether Fruit Tree's Deprivation of Life ability to preserve slain powerhouses' insights into the Laws and reveal them to those who ate the fruits.
  • Luo Feng settled down to study the Profound Mysteries and their fusion.

Ch. 175Return to the Yulan Continent

Luo Feng realized that spatial power had transformed his Wind Divine Clone enough to temper its body to the level of a Sovereign Artifact, while his other clones could not reach that limit. With cultivation no longer demanding all his time, he took Catherine to the Yulan Continent, reunited with his clan, and proposed moving most of them to the Infernal Realm.

  • Luo Feng understood that filtered spatial power inside the Wind Spirit Primal Stone had expanded his Wind Divine Clone’s bodily limits, and accepted that his Water Element and Lightning Divine Clones could not be tempered as far.
  • Luo Feng learned from Catherine that Luo Si had left to take Fiend Missions, and approved of his son seeking strength through experience.
  • Luo Feng invited Catherine to travel with him and took her through the teleportation array to the Yulan Continent Plane.
