Background

Lin Changkong originated from the Heavenly Fire Sect’s Servant Courtyard. Before taking control of his current body, its original owner had been exploited by his childhood sweetheart Su Qingqing, who took his cultivation resources, gave them to Zhang Qingyun, and used him as expendable bait on missions. The original owner nearly died retrieving Hundred Spirits Grass from a cliff; afterward, Lin Changkong activated a system that granted cultivation time daily. 1

He quickly cut ties with Su Qingqing and began overturning the Servant Courtyard hierarchy. After defeating Zhang Qingyun, he earned Elder Zhang Shanhe’s recognition and access to the Martial Arts Hall’s second floor, where he selected the Wind Breaking Saber. 4
