Old Man, You Can't Hit Me After Eating My Melon!
On the streets of Magnolia Town, Hughes pretended to look around, but a certain scene was always in the center of his vision.
He couldn't help but secretly admire himself; indeed, this kind of bustling town suited him best.
Even the melons are different from those elsewhere...
"Wow, this is so big and round, you'd need two hands to hold it!"
Mira's pretty face was as cold as ice. Her eyelids gradually lowered, her mouth drooped, and her right hand silently received the arm of the devil Satan.
"Tsk, this one's not bad either, quite upright!"
"Enough! How much longer are you going to dawdle here!" Mira shouted angrily, and Satan's arm slammed down!
"Bang!"
An unidentified object resembling a human or dog appeared next to the watermelon stand.
"If you're going to buy a watermelon, just buy it properly and don't peek and talk nonsense!"
"Oh!"
Hughes, who had used Life Return to restore his original state, looked away with slight disappointment.
He pointed at the plump watermelon seller's chest and said, "I want these two watermelons, put them together!"
The watermelon seller deftly grabbed two large watermelons, his chest heaving so violently that Hughes could hardly tell which two he had bought...
"Bang!"
Another unidentified object resembling a human or a dog appeared next to the watermelon stand.
Mira glanced at Hughes, who was lying on the ground like trash, took the watermelon with one hand and paid him with the other.
Then, gripping Hughes's raised right leg, she stormed off to the Fairy Tail guild.
"Hmph! You idiot Hughes, all you do is look around... She'll grow up to be this big someday!"
Shortly after the two left, an elderly woman selling vegetables next to the watermelon stand suddenly approached the watermelon seller.
"Little girl, are you new to Magnolia Town?"
The melon-selling girl, in her early twenties, with a sweet face but an excessively exaggerated figure, nodded slightly.
She had only moved to Magnolia Town two days ago, and today was her first day setting up her stall. Hughes was her first customer.
The old lady glanced around furtively and whispered, "I'm telling you, you'd better be careful of that person who bought the melon from you just now."
He's a notorious scoundrel in our Magnolia Town; he even takes advantage of the women in the hot springs.
I heard that he recently even used force to coerce people he had taken advantage of to come forward and clear his name!
The melon-selling woman smiled, her beautiful eyes sparkling, and her exquisitely sculpted lips curved into a smile, "I know, Grandma, his eyes were fixed on my chest!"
As she spoke, the melon seller swung her round, melon-like breasts, bouncing up and down, before reaching out and pressing them down with both hands, creating an indescribable arc.
"Men just love this kind of thing, otherwise I wouldn't have done this to attract them to buy my melons!"
The melon-selling woman's voice suddenly became rough, like a broken gong, startling the old woman so much that she stared in disbelief. "You... you?"
"Yes, Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law, I used to be a man too..."
"... the melon-selling girl said in a sweet voice.
The mother-in-law, whose values were somewhat shattered, turned and left, as if she had made up her mind, moving her vegetable stall along with her.
Inside Fairy Tail, things were as lively as ever.
After a series of nonsensical everyday events, and after giving Natsu and the other kids a good beating, Hughes was finally able to sit at the bar and enjoy a nice drink.
"Belch"
"Awesome!"
Makarov, his cheeks flushed, looked up at him and asked, "Is the matter resolved?"
Hughes patted his chest. "Don't you trust me to do things?"
"Bang!"
Hughes smashed the melon with his bare hands, handing the slightly larger half to the old man. "Let me tell you, this melon was bought from a great beauty, it's sure to be sweet. Let's eat and chat!"
In his mind, he added, "If you don't eat, how dare I say anything..."
Makarov glanced at Hughes suspiciously. Could it be that the sun rose in the west today?
Hughes actually bought him things!
Makarov carefully took the watermelon that Hughes forcefully shoved into his hand, glanced at it with his deep eyes, and sniffed it lightly.
Only when everything seemed normal did I dare to take a small bite.
Hughes's eyes twitched at the sight of her cautious demeanor.
Is he the type to smuggle something in? Where is the trust in him?
"Well, did it poison you or not?" Hughes asked irritably.
Makarov pretended not to hear and took another big bite. Hughes had chosen a good melon.
It's juicy and sweet!
"Tell me what you did on this trip, so I can clean up your mess according to plan," Makarov said, taking another bite of watermelon.
Hughes's words were concise and derogatory, stating directly that Jiemma was already dead at his hands.
Makarov silently put down the watermelon in his hand and wondered why Hughes would suddenly buy him a watermelon.
"Killing a legitimate guild leader violates the rules of the Magic Council and could even lead to being classified as a Dark Mage."
Hughes waved his hand dismissively. "It's nothing. Last time I caused a huge scene at the Magic Council and almost killed Crawford Himm, but they didn't dare to punish me at all. Besides, this time it was Jiemma who provoked me first."
This year's councilors and speaker are all shady characters; they're terrified of someone like me who doesn't follow the rules. They'll definitely turn a blind eye to me.
Makarov sighed, "You brat, you're causing me trouble. I'll handle Jiemma's matter; don't interfere!"
As he spoke, Makarov pushed the half-eaten watermelon in front of him forward.
Out of sight, out of mind!
Hughes himself said that killing Jiemma was a small matter, so there must be something bigger he didn't say. That's probably the reason why he felt guilty and bought himself watermelon.
"Tell me everything else too!"
Hughes glanced at him. "I destroyed the Sabertooth Guild!"
"No one else died?"
"Without."
Makarov's initial tension subsided; this was nothing compared to killing Jiemma!
Makarov picked up the watermelon again, took a bite, and mimicked Hughes's tone, replying, "It's nothing."
Hughes moved back two seats and said the rest of the sentence: "Then I took over Sabertooth, and now I'm the guild master of Sabertooth!"
"Puff!"
Makarov's eyes widened in shock, juice spurting from his mouth, and he abruptly hurled the watermelon at Hughes.
Hughes ducked to avoid it, but the watermelon grazed Hughes head and smashed the tableware that Laki had just cleaned into pieces.
"I wonder if Laki will feel like the sky has fallen when she comes back after delivering the drinks and sees this scene!" Hughes turned his head and glanced at the tragedy behind the bar, sighing inwardly.
The old man jumped onto the bar in a huff, grabbing Hughes by the collar. "You brat, you still have the nerve to look around like that? This is betraying the guild, betraying me..."
Before Makarov could finish speaking, Hughes raised his hand and pressed him back down. "I never said I wanted to leave Fairy Tail!"
Facing the old man's gaze, Hughes pointed to the God Spirit Ring on his hand. "If you want to fight against the Western Continent, Fairy Tail alone won't do."
Like Fairy Tail, Sabertooth is a guild full of magic, and it will gather a large group of talented people in the future.
To accomplish great things, one must employ both overt and covert tactics. With Fairy Tail in the lead and Sabertooth behind, I intend to secretly cultivate a group of powerful individuals to prepare for future challenges!
