The situation was bizarre, so Hughes quickly activated the Tekkai defense with all his might. Dark raindrops fell on his steel-like body, making a dripping sound.

Hughes's brow remained furrowed. Although the Tekkai blocked the icy chill of the black raindrops, it could not alleviate the mental anguish they brought.

Seeing this, Hughes immediately activated his Elementalization, trying to avoid the black raindrops, but found it to be ineffective.

Like the Tekkai, the Elementalization could only help him block the icy chill of the dark raindrops.

As the black raindrops on his body increased, the pain in Hughes's mind intensified, as if someone were tearing through his brain with a chainsaw.

The unbearable pain reminded Hughes of his long-dormant mental illness.

The pain was exactly the same for both.

He quickly took out the special mental potion made by Granny Porlyusica from his waist and poured it into his mouth.

A moment later, Hughes gasped for breath as if he had been saved, and the pain in his head was slightly relieved under the effect of the psychic drug.

Squinting as he looked around, Hughes knew that the psychic potion wouldn't last long under the onslaught of the torrential black rain, and he needed to find shelter from the rain as soon as possible.

Looking around, they found no place to take shelter from the rain; the entire Alon Island had been razed to the ground in the tremors.

Moreover, Hughes discovered that these dark raindrops could actually penetrate the rocks, and his plan to place a thick rock on his head with his abacus also failed.

This is definitely not rainwater. Even the most unusual rainwater wouldn't be this eerie. Every drop of this rain feels like being lashed by Threads of Sin.

The black rain was endless, and despite Hughes's various attempts to dodge, his body gradually became soaked.

At this moment, Hughes gripped his head tightly with both hands, veins bulging on his arms as if he wanted to tear his head apart; the excruciating pain in his mind made his face contort, and his eyes unconsciously turned bloodshot, as red as flames.

Standing in the corner, Gogirde breath, grinning maliciously at the cornered Hughes: "Fire elemental trash! This magic was created by me absorbing the Threads of Sin and the magic power of the entire Alon Island!"

Since absorbing the immense magical power of the Threads of Sin into his body, Gogirde has discovered that his magical power has changed.

At first, he thought he had made a mistake, until he slapped Gar across the face, and Gar's reaction made him realize that he had not misperceived.

Her own magic truly contained Threads of Sin, capable of inflicting mental trauma.

"Ha ha ha, I told you, I'd drag you down with me even if I die."

Gogirde, laughing wildly with his head thrown back, completely failed to notice that, beneath the black rain curtain, the trembling of Hughes' body was lessening.

Hughes slowly lowered his hands from his head, raised his chin, letting the black raindrops fall freely onto his face, and grinned slightly, revealing the same sinister smile as Gogirde shown earlier.

I really miss the days when I could just show up whenever I wanted!

"This body is getting stronger and stronger; it'll be very difficult for me to get out of here later!"

The sound of his self-talk still echoed in the rain when, in the next instant, Hughes appeared next to Gogirde, their faces very close, less than a fist's width apart.

"Oh, you're smiling too!" Hughes sneered.

Gogirde's "thief's laugh" abruptly stopped, his bloodshot eyes widening in fright. "You... you..."

Before he could finish his shocking words, Hughes, grinning maliciously, raised his Tekkai- like forehead and slammed it directly into Gogirde's forehead.

"Bang!"

Gogirde agony, his face contorted in pain.

Hughes, now in a state of arousal, looked at him mockingly, his arrogant face full of disdain.

"It's impossible to explain. What kind of class do you have that you're worthy of smiling like me!"

Raising his flaming right leg, with a sharp whistling sound, Hughes kicked Gogirde directly in the face.

"Bang!"

With his cheeks sunken in, Gogirde flew backward at a speed barely visible to the naked eye, disappearing from Hughes's sight in the distance.

Hughes rubbed his ankle, took a step to catch up, and halfway there he kicked Gogirde in the waist, sending him flying backward.

"Boom!"

Gogirde an Ɔ shape, looking just like a fish trapped by a fishbone spell, wailing incessantly.

Hughes strolled back in the rain, the dark raindrops that had previously tormented him now pelting him, yet Hughes's face remained unchanged.

Pain? Where is the pain? This black rain is soaking me, and I feel perfectly refreshed!

Walking forward, he stepped on the bulge of Gorkyr's body with three or two feet. The creaking and twisting sound of the bones highlighted the rejuvenation of Hughes's wonderful hands. Gorkyr quickly changed from Ɔ to one.

"Trash, trying to please me!" Hughes said disdainfully, stepping on Gogirde's head.

Gogirde looked up, palms facing the ground, and asked in a puzzled tone, "Why... why didn't my magic rain work on you!"

The movements were subtle and discreet, but Hughes saw them clearly.

As Hughes was in his trance, a wicked smile crept across his lips; he loved guys who would fight back.

One breath, two breaths...

"Such a long wind-up?" Hughes raised an eyebrow. There are still people using such a death trap these days. That wind-up time is enough for him to kill Gogirde ten times over.

Forget it, let's wait. We finally get to go out, so we should make the most of it.

Soon, a pool of liquid flowed from the sole of Hughes's foot. Hughes moved his foot away and looked down. He didn't recognize the substance, but he could sense its malevolence.

After observing it carefully for a while, Hughes finally figured out the details of the liquid.

This pool of liquid is a manifestation of several terrifying illusions; touching it will trap one's spirit and will forever within it.

"Interesting, looks like we'll have some fun!" Hughes said with a smirk.

He then deliberately stepped on it, and Hughes froze instantly.

Seeing Hughes's blatant disregard, Gogirde furious. This was a trump card he had created by combining Illusion Magic with the new magic power within his body.

In order to bring it to life, he had ordered Gar and the other three to hold back Hughes with their lives.

Taking advantage of Hughes being trapped in the illusion, Gogirde magic, twisted and escaped from under Hughes' feet at lightning speed.

Once the distance was created, Gogirde the motionless Hughes, his face contorted with rage. "Bastard, what are you being so arrogant about?!"

Enraged, Gogirde unleashed all his magical power, drawing upon magic from the entire Alon Island to create countless magical projectiles that relentlessly bombarded Hughes's body.

In an instant, the deafening roar of gunfire shook the heavens and the earth.

Laxus stood in the waters not far from Alon Island, his face grave.

Alon Island was shrouded in a magical barrier, so he couldn't see what was happening inside the island, but this huge commotion was definitely extraordinary.

The thought that Hughes was still inside made Laxus furious as he slammed his fist against the magic barrier.

"You damn Hughes, don't let anything happen!"

The bombing on Alon Island lasted for a full 45 minutes Gogirde to stop.

Hughes had vanished, and the spot where he had just stood had become a bottomless, enormous crater.

"Ha ha ha, I won! I won!"

Amidst the laughter, a flame flickered behind Gogirde, then transformed into the figure of Hughes, who was still standing on the puddle of liquid, though the liquid was now completely ruined.
