A Horde of Gillian Hollows
The night was as dark as ink, casting a somber shadow over the land of the Rukongai South District 7.
Inside the temporary encampment, the lights flickered slightly in the night breeze, and the aroma of medicine mingled with faint Reiatsu fluctuations permeated the air.
Just as Wang Xun finished instructing his team members to pay attention to the changes in the wounded's Reiatsu, a sharp whistling sound suddenly came from beside him.
That aura of Reiatsu was violent and turbid, emanating from the sky.
"Oh no, it's a virtual group!"
A member of the 11th Division, who was guarding the perimeter of the base, suddenly shouted, his voice filled with undisguised shock.
The once orderly and busy base was instantly thrown into chaos and commotion.
Most of the members of the Fourth Division specialize in medicine, Kendō and combat abilities are inherently weak. Upon hearing that the Hollows were attacking, many of them showed fear on their faces.
Wang Xun's expression darkened, and he looked out of the camp. He saw several dark figures, carrying violent Reiatsu, tearing through the sky.
Several of these Reiatsu were particularly powerful, all belonging to Menos Grande of the Gillian level.
How could there be so many Gillian appearing?
A Fourth Division Seated Officer murmured in shock, his eyes filled with fear.
While the Gillian are not the highest- Menos Grande, they are by no means something that ordinary Soul Reaper soldiers can contend with, let alone Menos Grande like this.
The Menos Grande had already emerged and lunged towards the encampment.
The 11th Division members stationed nearby did not hesitate and immediately drew their Zanpakuto to meet the attack.
The crisp sound of weapons clashing against bones, the howls of the void, and the furious roars of Soul Reaper intertwined.
The battle commenced instantly.
"Isane, instruct your team to evacuate the wounded quickly."
"Yes!"
Isane answered immediately, but before turning to leave, she looked back at Wang Xun.
"And what about you, Wang Xun?"
Wang Xun looked at the 11th Division members struggling in the distance and placed his hand on his Zanpakuto.
"I'll go help."
Wang Xun vanished from his spot in Shunpo.
Isane Kotetsu's pupils contracted sharply as she saw Wang Xun appear in the distance at an incredible speed.
The next moment, a huge slash appeared on the body of Menos Grande, and it roared as it fell backward.
This scene, witnessed by all the team members, instantly calmed the previously panicked crowd.
Isane Kotetsu, supporting her spirit, hid behind cover, watching Wang Xun's back, her breathing slightly rapid.
She never imagined that Wang Xun, who had always carefully guided her, would be so formidable in battle.
The speed of Shunpo and the power of her Zanpakuto were far greater than those of many combat squad Seated Officer she had ever seen.
"Fourth Seat Wang Xun..."
Isane Kotetsu stared blankly at all of this, murmuring softly.
With Wang Xun's arrival, the battle situation instantly began to shift.
However, the number of Menos Grande in the sky was gradually increasing, making it difficult for Wang Xun to cope.
He has already released the Shikai of his Zanpakuto, but unfortunately, his total Reiatsu is still insufficient to cover all directions.
The Cero past, triggering an explosion.
Some scattered individuals took advantage of the chaos to bypass the encirclement in front and chase after the wounded in the direction of the rear.
Isane Kotetsu was carrying an injured Rukongai on his back as he hid behind a makeshift shelter.
Suddenly, she was locked onto by a bone-chilling Reiatsu from behind. When she turned around, she saw that a Gillian had already broken through the defenses of the 11th Division members.
A dark red Reiatsu condensed in front of the mask, Isane's pupils suddenly contracted.
Just then, a gentle yet profound Reiatsu suddenly descended.
Like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, it instantly overwhelmed the chaotic Reiatsu in the area.
"Bakudō #61: The Rikujōkōrō"
Six dazzling beams of light shot out instantly, precisely locking onto the illusory object.
The beam of light tightened, Menos Grande roared in pain, instantly suppressed and unable to move.
Isane Kotetsu turned around and saw a figure wearing Fourth Division Captain's Haori walking slowly towards her.
Unohana's face lacked its usual faint smile; instead, a hint of coldness lingered in her eyes.
She glanced at the illusory figures in the arena, then gently raised her hand, gathering a pale blue Reiatsu.
"Hadō #63: Raikōhō: Raikōhō"
A beam of lightning pierced through the Gillian's bone surface in an instant. Before it could even utter a wail, it dissipated into Reishi.
"Captain Usagi, Captain Unohana..."
Upon hearing Unohana nodded slightly to Isane Kotetsu beside her.
He then looked towards the distance where Wang Xun and the members of the 11th Division were fighting the Gillian.
Wang Xun didn't stop moving, and once again activated his Shunpo, circling around to Gillian's side, with layers upon layers of sword light.
Each strike landed precisely on Gillian's vital points, the fierce and ruthless style of the Second Division displaying speed and ferocity, completely unlike a Fourth Division Soul Reaper specializing in medicine.
The Gillian were forced back, their massive bodies crashing into the ground, creating several deep craters. They roared and raised their heads, attempting to form Cero in their mouths.
Before he could be released, Wang Xun had already closed in, his blade piercing his vitals with unstoppable force.
A piercing roar tore through the night sky, Gillian's body dissipated into countless Reishi.
Wang Xun sheathed his sword and stood still, his Reiatsu remaining stable, though a few beads of sweat dotted his forehead.
He glanced around, his Zanpakuto twirling slightly in his hand.
The Menos Grande finally ceased to appear.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the battle, Aizen, hidden in the darkness, witnessed everything.
He lightly stroked his sleeve with his fingertips, a barely perceptible smile curving his lips.
Now that Unohana has appeared, let's leave this drama here for now.
Aizen wasn't in a hurry; after all, there would be plenty of opportunities later.
After the appearance of the Unohana, the battle here was quelled in an instant.
She walked slowly to Wang Xun's side, her gaze falling on the Zanpakuto in his hand. The blade was still covered with a faint black mist of emptiness, yet it still gleamed with a chilling light.
There was no surprise in her eyes, as if she had already expected Wang Xun to have such combat power. She simply examined him carefully for a moment and then calmly commented on him.
"The Second Division has a solid foundation, precise control of Reiatsu, and sharp power, but their Kendō seems somewhat clumsy."
Wang Xun sheathed his sword, bowed respectfully to Unohana, and spoke humbly.
"The captain's assessment is correct. I only practiced some basics when I was in the Second Division; I certainly didn't put in any hard work to study it."
"I have yet to truly embark on the path of Kendō."
"But the captain arrived just in time; he was a huge help."
Wang Xun had already sent a message to Unohana using the Tenteikūra earlier.
He had anticipated that Aizen wouldn't leave so easily and might take some action.
I never expected that Aizen would attract so many Gillian- class Menos Grande.
Fortunately, Unohana arrived in time; otherwise, the members of the 11th Division and Wang Xun alone would have been unable to take care of everyone.
However, upon hearing Wang Xun mention Kendō, Unohana looked Wang Xun up and down.
He then turned his gaze to the wounded around him, his tone softening once more.
"Alright, you should treat the wounded first."
