A Settlement
Although the leader's face was covered with a black cloth, the black wisps of hair peeking out from under the headscarf and the slightly familiar eyes still gave Wang Xun a sense of familiarity.
Soi Fon?
Her sharp gaze quickly swept across the entire room.
There were four attackers; two were seriously injured and fell to the ground, while two others were slightly injured and captured.
Wang Xun stood to the side, sheathing his sword.
Then there's Shunsui Kyōraku, the captain of the Eighth Division, casually pulling out a sake gourd from his waist.
Blood seeped from several wounds on Wang Xun's body, staining the uniform of the Spiritual Arts Academy red.
At this moment, he is using basic healing Kaidō to speed up the healing of his wounds.
Soi Fon's gaze lingered on Wang Xun for a moment, a barely perceptible hint of surprise flashing across her eyes, before returning to its cold expression and bowing to Kyōraku.
"Captain Kyōraku."
After Shunsui Kyōraku nodded in acknowledgment, she turned to Wang Xun beside her and spoke in a businesslike manner.
"These individuals are the targets we've been secretly tracking for some time now."
"The evidence against their attacks on the students of the Spiritual Arts Academy and the captain of the Gotei 13 is now conclusive, and the matter is being handled by our Stealth Force."
"Does the Captain Kyōraku have any further instructions?"
"No further instructions. Just handle it as you see fit."
Shunsui Kyōraku is concise and to the point, but there are some questions.
He had been keeping an eye on Tsunayashiro's situation, but how could the Stealth Force be involved?
"By the way... how did you find these people? Has the Stealth Force made any moves lately?"
Soi Fon frowned slightly upon hearing this.
"I'm sorry, Captain Kyōraku, I cannot disclose the details. It was an order given by Lady Yoruichi."
"If you have any questions, you can go to the Second Division and talk to Lady Yoruichi in detail."
Soi Fon gestured for her team members to come forward, inspect and arrest the attackers, then she looked at Wang Xun.
"Several attacks targeting Ichiraku Ramen businesses occurred in West Rukongai tonight, but most were thwarted by the Stealth Force."
"The captured low-ranking operatives identified higher-level commanders, who, according to descriptions, are very likely the two you took down."
Wang Xun frowned upon hearing this.
You said the noodle shop was attacked? Were there any casualties?
Soi Fon glanced at him calmly.
"Don't worry, it's nothing serious, just some property damage."
Wang Xun was relieved to hear this and gave Soi Fon a grateful look.
"Really? Thank you so much."
"If you have any words of thanks, remember to tell Lady Yoruichi. We were just following orders."
As she spoke, Soi Fon walked over to Wang Xun and glanced at his injuries.
Under his Kaidō, the wounds have slowly scabbed over and stopped bleeding.
A hint of curiosity flickered in Soi Fon's eyes.
"You'll Kaidō?"
"Yes, it was taught at the Spiritual Arts Academy, but not many people mastered it. I can only barely stop the bleeding myself."
Soi Fon nodded, then looked at the two assassins who had been defeated by Wang Xun and said softly.
"Well done. I thought you wouldn't last until they Shikai and would need the Captain Kyōraku or our help."
"It seems your abilities are worthy of Lady Yoruichi's personal recruitment."
Soi Fon said nothing more and walked straight past Wang Xun to direct her team to control the attackers.
Wang Xun watched Soi Fon figure, scratched his chin, and found it quite strange.
Was she just praising me?
Just as the Stealth Force took out specially made chains to bind the burly man who had been severely injured by Wang Xun, he suddenly twitched as if in a final burst of energy.
He raised his head, his unfocused gaze sweeping over the people present before finally settling on Wang Xun.
A hoarse gasp escaped his throat, mixed with a low, venomous laugh.
"Hey, I never expected to mess with a kid like this. How ridiculous."
"But arresting me won't do any good. We're just doing this for money, and even we don't know who hired us..."
A teammate stepped forward and covered his mouth.
"You'll have something to say when you get to the Stealth Force."
Soi Fon's eyes were cold; she paid no attention to the attackers.
She looked at Shunsui Kyōraku again.
Although Shunsui Kyōraku still had that lazy look, his eyes under the straw hat had become somewhat deep.
As the attacker himself said, finding the mastermind directly through them would likely be quite difficult.
Tsunayashiro Tokinada became shrewd and no longer allowed himself to be directly exposed to the sunlight.
Fortunately, he had some clues.
With these witnesses, even if they can't fully prove anything before the Central 46, it should be enough to subtly put pressure on Tsunayashiro Tokinada.
Although he didn't like Wang Xun very much because of Nanao.
But also because of Nanao, he couldn't allow Tsunayashiro to overstep his bounds.
In particular, anything that touches upon Nanao's surroundings is unacceptable to Shunsui Kyōraku.
After today's attack, Shunsui Kyōraku made a decision in his heart.
I should find an opportunity to visit the Tsunayashiro Clan.
Then, Shunsui Kyōraku looked at Wang Xun, his tone returning to its previous casualness, yet carrying an invisible weight.
"Wang Xun, it seems we won't be able to have a drink together anytime soon. Let's leave the rest to the professionals."
"Don't worry, after what happened today, Tsunayashiro will no longer target you or your shop."
Upon hearing this, Wang Xun glanced at Shunsui Kyōraku.
From his solemn gaze, Wang Xun gleaned some information and certainty.
"What does the Captain Kyōraku mean?"
"With your words as testimony, and these assassins as witnesses, I will report this to the Central 46, and then I will go to the Tsunayashiro Clan again."
"Don't worry, I'll give you an explanation."
Wang Xun nodded upon hearing this, although he had suspected something from the moment Shunsui Kyōraku decided to follow him.
But now that he has received a positive answer, he is finally relieved.
It seems that Shunsui Kyōraku has decided to step in to protect himself, which is thanks to Little Nanao.
With his promise, I no longer need to worry about Tsunayashiro tactics against me.
Shunsui Kyōraku nodded to Soi Fon again.
"Lieutenant Soi Fon, the scene and the suspect are now in your hands. I hope you will handle them properly."
"As for the student injured in the attack," he glanced at Wang Xun, "Could you please keep an eye on him on your way and take him to the Fourth Division for treatment?"
"Yes, Captain Kyōraku."
Soi Fon replied.
Then, she instructed her team members to carry the attackers, and then glanced at Wang Xun.
"Let's go. If you want to recover faster, you should go to the Fourth Division."
Looking at the wound that had barely stopped bleeding, Wang Xun agreed with this assessment.
Last time I went in a hurry, and there were members of the Fifth Division guarding the entrance, so I couldn't move around freely.
This time it's different; I can move around freely.
Wang Xun couldn't help but have some thoughts.
If I could get more experience fragments related to the Kaidō in the Fourth Division...
That would be excellent.
