The Weird Driver
Cough! Cough!
Jiang He's brow instantly furrowed when he saw the system notification!
No wonder...
He murmured under his breath. With no time to think, he struggled to his feet.
But before Jiang He could find his footing, the system's voice rang out again:
[Ding] [Level-three Weird detected nearby: Weird Driver. Host advised to evacuate immediately!]
Damn it!
Seeing the system notification again, Jiang He gritted his teeth and cursed inwardly.
He could no longer afford to worry about the intense pain in his chest.
He quickly took great strides and ran away from the bus!
Boom!
He had barely taken a few steps when a tremendous crash came from behind him.
Jiang He couldn't resist turning his head to sneak a glance out of the corner of his eye.
The blood wolf the old woman had become had burst through the roof and landed by the bus's taillights.
The muscles in its arms bulged as it clamped both claws onto the bus. Its immense strength squeezed the body of the vehicle completely out of shape.
Jiang He then saw the blood wolf lift the entire bus. Its atrophied legs had completely deformed under the unbearable weight.
Yet the blood wolf seemed oblivious to the pain. Its arms jerked, and the bus flew from its grasp toward a figure.
It was the bus driver, Old Wang!
As expected of a level-three mutated beast!
That strength...
Jiang He's eyes were wide. He could already be certain that the old woman hadn't wanted to kill him just now.
Otherwise, with that kind of strength, how could the box she threw have merely knocked him flying?
In the camp, the survivors had finally been alerted by the tremendous noise and turned to look...
But they were a long way off, and trees blocked their view.
From where they were, they couldn't make out what was happening at all.
Seeing the bus parked by the road suddenly move, everyone thought there had been a car accident...
"Bastard! Which blind idiot crashed into one of our convoy's buses?!"
A man slammed his right fist into the ground and got to his feet, cursing.
"Could it be a monster?"
"Bullshit! If it were a monster, why wouldn't it attack us directly instead of going to the trouble of crashing into a bus?"
"Brother Wang is right! If a monster crashed into a bus, wouldn't it be telling us to run? How could those things do something so stupid?"
"Cut the crap! Feiwu's already gotten a head start. If we don't go now, we might not even get a sip of soup!"
With someone taking the lead, several more people immediately got up, cursing as they prepared to check it out!
One of their convoy's buses had been hit. They might be able to use the opportunity to extort some supplies from the other party and improve their lives a little...
At that thought, smiles spread across the men's faces.
They hadn't encountered any danger for more than ten days in a row, which made them feel that they were absolutely safe as long as they stayed away from the cities.

Several of the survivors who had followed him worked up the courage to look back, and saw the most unforgettable sight of their lives!
Buses lying on their sides were hurtling toward the survivors' camp at terrifying speed, ready to crush everything in their path!
A deafening screech echoed through the night sky as sheet metal scraped against asphalt!
In the camp, the people who had been joking and laughing just moments ago sat frozen in place. Some even had an unidentified liquid flowing from between their legs.
"Ah!"
Amid the screams of several girls, the four buses skimming along the ground acted like a giant millstone, crushing all the survivors in the camp!
Pungent, viscous liquid burst out and collected in a low-lying ditch, slowly forming a crimson stream.
Under the dark red moonlight, its surface reflected a faint glimmer, putting an end to the horrific scene...
Jiang He saw clearly that the buses had all been under the control of the driver, Old Wang. That was why they had flown toward the crowd...
This was an incomparably powerful level-three Weird!
It was stronger than any monster Jiang He had seen in his previous life!
