Sequence Potion, upgrade!

Repairing the Waste Barrel took three minutes.

By then, survivors had begun gathering nearby. At the sight of the severed limbs strewn across the ground, every one of them frowned and retched.

Only Jiang He hummed a little tune, looking thoroughly delighted.

"Is that guy... scared out of his mind?"

A girl in the group spoke up hesitantly.

The survivors had wanted to return to camp to see if there was any food left, only to arrive and find Jiang He hopping about as he collected human parts.

Anyone faced with such a bizarre sight would have called him a lunatic.

The girl had put it mildly...

Just as everyone gathered around, pointing and gossiping about Jiang He, a horn sounded in the distance.

The survivors looked toward the sound and saw a group of people on motorcycles approaching at high speed.

The convoy had roughly thirty or forty members, most of them young people in their twenties.

When they drew closer, everyone was surprised to discover that each motorcycle carried two people, one man and one woman, evenly distributed.

The group had intended to stop here, since this was the best open space nearby for a rest.

But after seeing the dried blood all over the ground, their leader immediately changed his mind. Wearing a look of disgust, he led the convoy to park on the road ahead.

Seeing this, Jiang He stopped what he was doing and swept an indifferent gaze over the uninvited guests.

Clearly, they were the convoy Jiang He had encountered in his previous life-the Rampage Group!

There was not a trace of joy in Jiang He's eyes at seeing these "fateful acquaintances." Instead, they were filled with indifference.

Memories surfaced in his mind, and his gaze grew colder.

"I'll settle our old scores with you, slowly!"

Muttering under his breath, Jiang He unclenched his fist.

Then he ignored them and went back to collecting human parts.

By now, the convoy across the way had finished getting organized. The young man in the lead waved over a few young men and gave them instructions.

After receiving their orders, they quickly gathered several plastic fuel cans and placed them on their luggage racks, then collected the keys from the convoy members one by one.

They then rode straight toward the gas station in the distance.

Judging by their practiced movements, they were probably in charge of refueling the convoy on a regular basis.

The young man in the lead withdrew his gaze from their retreating figures and finally turned to look this way.

His brow was slightly furrowed, and he was clearly disgusted by the smell of blood that hung in the air.

Perhaps he was too curious, though, because after giving it some thought, he walked straight toward the open space.

Seeing the young man with his hands in his pockets and a disdainful look on his face, Jiang He couldn't help finding it a little funny.

What expression would Liu Lu make when he learned his opportunity had been taken?

Too bad I won't get to see it!

He hasn't become a Superpower Sequence in this life, yet he still dares to act so cocky. Isn't he afraid someone will stab him in the back?

Liu Lu clearly had no idea what Jiang He was thinking. He swaggered up to the crowd.

He looked disdainfully at the dirt-covered survivors and said in a tone that brooked no argument:

"Tell me everything that happened here!"

Jiang He had wanted to see how things would change after his rebirth.

But seeing Liu Lu acting so high and mighty, he immediately lost interest.

He had collected most of the severed limbs here anyway, so he picked up the white plastic barrel and headed for the drainage ditch where he had hidden the night before.

A lot of people had died there last night, too...

The survivors naturally paid no attention to a "fool" leaving, but Liu Lu, who had just come to a stop, gave Jiang He a thoughtful look.

It seemed he was the only one who had noticed something unusual!

How could a scrawny young man pick up that enormous plastic barrel, almost full of severed limbs...?

Could he be a Superpower Sequence too?

The human parts on the mountain had been run over several times, so there weren't many that could be picked up. Jiang He collected them all in just five minutes.

Looking at the enormous white barrel, as tall as a person, he finally let out a long breath and plopped down on a rock by the roadside.

After spending energy all night, Jiang He was already physically exhausted, so he decided to take a good rest first.

"System, how many system points does it take to fuse these Sequence Potions?"

Jiang He took the Sequence Potion out of the system space and looked at the blue vial in his hand as he asked the question in his mind.

[Sequence Potions are consumable items. The host may take them directly without spending system points.]

Jiang He was momentarily stunned by the system's explanation.

Damn it, I really am a country bumpkin...

After mocking himself, he tipped his head back and poured the small amount of orange liquid remaining down his throat.

A sweet taste swept over his tongue, but before he could savor it, his taste buds fell quiet again.

"Damn! Nobody told me this stuff tasted so good!"

Still wanting more, he stuck out his tongue and licked the mouth of the vial, and the sweet taste filled his mouth again.

Waves of warmth spread through his body, and Jiang He couldn't help closing his eyes in comfort.

Jiang He's body had already been strengthened once when he became a Superpower Sequence.

Once the upgrade was complete, his attributes would reach four times those of a normal person.

Just one-fifth of the Orange Sequence Potion can raise me a whole level!

As expected of a treasure that can restore a Mutant Beast's sanity!

Jiang He lay flat on the huge rock, his hands supporting his head, feeling completely relaxed.

The previous night's exhaustion had been swept away.

He sprang to his feet with a kip-up, then took the supplies out of his system backpack.

He needed to make room for the Waste Barrel.

After a tremendous struggle, he finally managed to stuff the two bulging backpacks into two large bundles.

He had only succeeded because he hadn't eaten that morning and had taken the opportunity to finish off a large amount of food...

After becoming a Superpower Sequence, Jiang He's appetite had clearly increased, and his food consumption had grown exponentially.

He ate eight times as much as a normal person in a single meal...

"What a huge appetite..."

Smiling, Jiang He rubbed his belly and put everything on the ground into his system backpack.

He headed down the mountain with a spring in his step.
