Lin Xiao built up the Lingxian Sect with a grand hall, stipends, and a cultivation room while preparing for the Shangyang Sect’s recruitment. After watching the sect recruit a girl with a mutated lightning spirit root and depart by spirit ship, Lin Xiao created a technique for walking and flying through the air, then went to greet Widow Liu.
Lin Xiao expanded Lingxian Sect, created its core cultivation manual, and entered the Green Wilds Mystic Realm with Sun Yigao. After claiming the realm’s heart and rescuing trapped cultivators, Lin Xiao returned with Venerable Pantu, who joined the sect, while an ominous Evil Qi lingered over its grounds.
Lin Xiao built up the Lingxian Sect, placed a Spirit Vein beneath it, and killed the Silver Frost Python that had brought dangerous Evil Qi to the region. As the sect’s members advanced and began pursuing their own paths, Lin Xiao traveled with Sun Yigao, Jiang Youfu, and Liu Yunan to the county seat for Sun Yigao’s examination.
Lin Xiao rescued children from a Spirit Stone mine, brought the mine back to the sect, and expanded the sect’s fields and facilities while training new disciples. The arc left Lin Xiao developing formation skills and Xiaoluan discovering that a demon core had transformed her and her surviving pheasant disciple.
Lin Xiao protected the laborers repairing Guchuan Dam, helped establish a school, and aided Qin Jianghe and Gu Yuxiao against the bandits. After Sun Yigao’s exam success brought Xiushui Village a tax exemption, Lin Xiao prepared to travel to the cultivation world and Mo Yuanjiao offered to join him.
Lin Xiao travels with Liao Pantu to Yuanling City and enters the Icefield Mystic Realm, where he finds Liao Pantu’s sealed soul and frees him. After escaping a hidden ice cave, Lin Xiao searches for a way to rescue the cultivators still trapped inside as the realm grows more dangerous.
Lin Xiao returned from Yuanling City with a new disciple, the Icefield Spirit, and a key to the Icefield Mystic Realm, then expanded Lingxian Sect and prepared to cultivate in seclusion. He left Liu Yunan and other trusted members in charge as the Heart-Questioning Road began drawing the attention of villagers and visitors.
Lin Xiao entered seclusion after the Lingxian Sect opened its doors to the village, while Jiang Youfu saved Grandma Jiang and helped draw visitors to Xiushui Village. The emperor learned of the sect, and the battered Shangyang Sect began rebuilding as Mo Yuanjiao returned to the capital.
Wei Hai attacked Xiushui Village in search of the Spirit Stone mine, but Lin Xiao and the Lingxian Sect defeated him and protected the villagers. The sect and village then celebrated the New Year as the imperial court recognized the Lingxian Sect and prepared to visit.
Lin Xiao grappled with protecting the Lingxian Sect while expanding its grounds, recruiting members, and developing Xiushui Village. The arc ended with Gu Yuxiao joining the sect and the new inn and restaurant opening.
Han Weishu uncovered a cross-border kidnapping operation, and Lin Xiao and his allies rescued the captives while Pusi Kingdom prepared to oppose Huanyou Nation. Lin Xiao then traveled toward the Talisman Master Assembly with Jiang Youfu and Yuan Qing, while Mo Yuanjiao brought his family toward Xiushui Village and told Baojian that Tong Jialiang had survived.
Lin Xiao and his companions reached Banxiang City, where Liu Chun passed the first stages of the Talisman Master Assembly despite an attempt to sabotage him. Meanwhile, the Lingxian Sect secured trade agreements through the imperial family and prepared to expand its influence while supporting the campaign against Huanyou Nation.
Lin Xiao traveled with Jiang Youfu and Liu Chun through the Talisman Master Assembly and Yuanling City, where he helped Yuan Qing’s family suppress the patriarch’s heart demon. The arc ended with Liu Chun revealing that his sister Liu Qin had been crippled by a Heavenly Profound Sect elder, and Lin Xiao offering to seek help for her.
Lin Xiao arranged care for Liu Qin and a business partnership with the Yuan Household, then brought Yuan Qing back to the Lingxian Sect. He developed the Yaoguang Floating Island, organized the sect, expanded its school, and learned that war would begin the following month.
Lin Xiao investigated a mysterious illness in Huanyou Nation and uncovered the State Preceptor’s use of Execution Stone to transform cultivators and sacrifice captives. He rescued the prisoners, returned the national seal to Zhao Yunzhong, and left the Alliance Army alerted to the village’s illness.
Lin Xiao sealed the weakened formation node, advanced to Late Golden Core, and the Lingxian Sect prepared its first outside recruitment. The Heart-Questioning Road opened to crowds, Bai Zhu became the first successful entrant, and Tong Jialiang confronted the dark memories of his childhood.
Lin Xiao's Nascent Soul breakthrough cleared the darkness engulfing the recruitment assessment, and the Lingxian Sect welcomed its new disciples. The newcomers began cultivation and built their homes while an expedition from major sects approached the Mortal Realm.
Lin Xiao expanded the Lingxian Sect’s tools, training, and ties with Xiushui Village while its members took on new work and prepared for life beyond the sect. The stretch ended with Lin Xiao establishing Everbright Mountain and summoning a mysterious white fox face.
Lin Xiao strengthened the Lingxian Sect while He Yi investigated the Yin Qi around Everbright Mountain and questioned Lin Xiao’s concern for mortals. After Lin Xiao’s words transformed He Yi’s cultivation, He Yi revealed his knowledge of Origin Qi and the Execution-Binding Treasure Formation, then joined the sect.
