A Spy from Another Village? The Threat of the "Anbu"!
In the narration of the Uchiha Yashiro, time seemed to flow backward, taking everyone back to that tense morning.
As he spoke in his calm yet captivating voice, vivid images emerged one after another in the minds of the audience.
"This morning, as the sun was just rising, we were preparing to end our night patrol," Yashiro said calmly.
"Just as we were beginning to lower our guard and were about to hand over the shift, I caught a glimpse of a figure out of the corner of my eye, loitering along the border of the tribe's territory, behaving strangely and inexplicably."
The Yashiro's narration captivated everyone present, who seemed to feel the tension of that moment.
Koki stared intently at Uchiha Yashiro, a sudden surge of intense unease welling up within him.
This person is definitely not simple!
"We immediately became alert and prepared to approach and question him. But the man seemed to sense our intentions; he suddenly turned around and ran away like the wind."
A hint of anger crept into Yashiro's voice, "Of course we can't let him get away like this, so we immediately launched a pursuit."
As the Yashiro recounted the story, everyone's hearts raced involuntarily. They could almost feel the urgency of the moment and the unwavering determination of the Uchiha members.
"Just as we were about to catch up with him, he suddenly pulled out Explosive Tag from his pocket."
Yashiro's voice froze at that moment, as if time itself had stopped because of the crisis.
Fortunately, we reacted quickly and no one was hurt; however, his actions undoubtedly revealed his sinister intentions.
Yashiro's account made everyone present involuntarily swallow hard; the power of the Explosive Tag was obvious, and the consequences would be unimaginable if they were to detonate in a residential area.
"Then, a fierce battle broke out."
The Yashiro continued, "We must subdue him to prevent him from posing a greater threat to the villagers. The battle will be extremely difficult; he is clearly highly trained, but our Uchiha Clan's Military Police Force is no pushover either."
The Yashiro's language reveals pride, but also reflects the brutality of the battle.
Koki could imagine what a life-or-death struggle it must have been.
"Finally, through everyone's combined efforts, we successfully subdued him." Yashiro's voice gradually calmed down.
"But unfortunately, just as we were preparing to interrogate him, he suddenly lost vital signs. We were shocked and saddened by this, as we still had many questions for him to answer."
Yashiro's narration ended there, and the room fell silent.
Koki's gaze shifted from Yashiro's face to the three figures hidden beneath the animal masks.
Their existence is like the mist that permeates a deep forest, making them unfathomable.
Koki turned her gaze back to Yashiro, her voice tinged with a hint of scrutiny. "Uncle Yashiro, could you tell me who these three mysterious masked figures are? And what roles did each of them play in this incident?"
Upon hearing Yashiro, Yashiro's expression changed slightly, and his voice carried a clear hint of displeasure. "These people who call themselves members of Konoha's Anbu only slowly appeared after we subdued that suspicious person. This behavior makes one wonder about their true intentions."
Yashiro's words revealed a deep suspicion of these masked men, and his anger was like a burning flame, almost overwhelming.
He continued, "Just as we finished the battle and were preparing to conduct a thorough examination and interrogation of the suspicious man's body, they suddenly appeared and demanded that we hand it over to them."
The Yashiro's voice conveyed a sense of betrayal; he clearly believed that the masked men's actions were an extreme disrespect for the Uchiha Clan, even a provocation.
His gaze was like a sharp blade, seemingly trying to pierce through those masks and reveal the true faces behind them.
After listening to Yashiro's account, Koki frowned, her mind filled with questions.
He could understand the Yashiro's burning rage, but he was also puzzled by the actions of those masked figures.
Their appearance was so perfectly timed that it makes one wonder if they had been subtly observing all along, or even perhaps manipulating the course of events to some extent.
Moreover, these people were wrapped up so tightly that it was hard to tell whether they were from the Anbu or the Root.
Koki turned his gaze to the three masked figures, a hint of coldness in his voice. "Your demands lack a convincing explanation. We cannot easily hand over the body to you. The Uchiha Clan has the right to investigate this matter to ensure our safety and the upholding of justice."
The leader of the Anbu spoke coldly, his words filled with unquestionable authority. "Hand over the corpses. Spies from other villages should be dealt with by our Anbu. Your Uchiha is no longer responsible for Konoha Military Police Force duties; your job is to evacuate your clansmen. That is your duty."
However, the pride of the Uchiha Clan is ever-present.
Several team members immediately retorted, their voices filled with incomprehension and anger. "Why? We Uchiha discovered this person, and we defeated him ourselves."
"Your Anbu has accomplished nothing, yet you want to steal our credit without any effort?"
"We, the Uchiha, will never be pawns to be slaughtered!"
"What right do you have to demand that we hand over the body?"
How did you know he was a spy from another village?
"Who knows if he was planted by you?"
Even Obito, standing nearby, couldn't contain his anger and said, "Why? Have you no shame?"
The exchange between the two sides grew increasingly heated, and the atmosphere instantly became extremely tense.
The tense atmosphere made the onlookers uneasy.
The self-proclaimed squad leader of the Anbu showed no weakness. He slowly drew the long sword from his back, the blade gleaming coldly in the sunlight. Refined Chakra flowed along the edge, radiating a fearsome power.
His voice was full of threat. "What are you trying to do? Does this spy have some shady dealings with your Uchiha? Do you want to be arrested?"
As his words landed heavily, an invisible pressure erupted from his body, like the chilling aura of an icy blade, making one feel as if bathed in a frozen hell.
The surrounding air seemed polluted, filled with the stench of blood, a mark etched by countless battles and slaughters.
The villagers in the front row were as pale as paper, and cold sweat rolled down their faces like broken pearls.
Koki stood on the dividing line between the two sides, the extremely fierce killing intent almost consuming him.
The atmosphere grew increasingly tense, and everyone held their breath. The final outcome of the event was like a sword of life and death hanging by a thread, impossible to predict.
