Rin Arrives, Koki Wants to Watch the Drama
The sunlight, like a golden drizzle, gently fell on Training Ground 8, draping the land in a soft cloak.
Obito and Koki arrived at this place as if chasing the footsteps of time, their breathing rapid and the beads of sweat on their foreheads glistening in the sunlight.
While panting heavily, Koki's gaze darted quickly across the room. When she realized that Rin hadn't appeared yet, she involuntarily let out a soft breath.
Rin didn't come either. Did she also think Obito would be late?
He slowly reached into his pocket and took out the bouquet of roses. The flowers were vibrant and beautiful. He solemnly handed the bouquet to Obito, his tone relaxed.
"Phew, looks like we've arrived just in time. Obito-nii, don't be nervous, I hope you succeed."
Obito accepted the bouquet, his fingers trembling slightly. His feelings, like the flowers in his hands, were both broken and fragile.
Koki was about to take a step away, Obito's heart pounded, and anxiety surged through him like a tidal wave.
He hurriedly called out to Koki, "Wait, Koki, where are you going?"
Koki stopped and looked back at Obito, his smile filled with understanding and encouragement.
"Obito-nii, confessing is your battlefield, what am I doing here? Good luck, I believe in you!"
Koki doesn't want to be a third wheel here!
Of course, he won't leave. He'll hide in the shadows and enjoy watching the drama unfold, hahaha.
"Koki, don't go!" Obito raised his voice, looking at Koki's back, feeling inexplicably panicked.
"No way, is he that nervous? Why does Obito sound like he's about to cry?" Koki thought to herself, secretly surprised.
"Well... I don't think I can stay here with you." Koki stopped and turned to look at him, a hint of hesitation on her face.
Seeing Obito's pale face, Koki quickly walked over to him and pulled him to sit down on a nearby bench. "Obito-nii, are you alright? Why are you so pale?"
"Look at you, you usually want the whole world to know you like Rin, but now that it's happening, why are you getting nervous?" Koki said with a smile.
Obito paused slightly, his gaze first falling on the hand that Koki was holding, then slowly lifting it.
Koki's smile is like the warm spring sun, making people feel warm involuntarily.
The sunlight slanted in, falling directly on Koki's eyes. Her dark eyes were like the purest gemstones, clear and bright, radiating light, yet carrying an indescribable warmth, as if capable of dispelling all the gloom in the world.
Obito's gaze lingered on Koki's eyes for a moment before he unconsciously looked away.
"I don't want to." In front of Koki, Obito was like a spoiled child.
"What do you not want?"
"Of course, don't confess to Rin," Obito stared at Koki for a long time, but still didn't say those words.
He didn't want Koki to think he was a fickle and untrustworthy person.
But... but it seems he doesn't like Lin anymore...
"Okay, there's no 'but' about it. Don't be nervous, I'm always here," Koki said softly, gently comforting her.
Obito, his wounded heart seemingly soothed by a warm hand, responded softly, his voice tinged with a childlike grievance. "Mmm."
His fingers gently stroked the pink Kunai, like a wounded little wolf, his eyes full of innocence and grievance.
Koki chuckled inwardly; he really looked like a wronged little puppy.
The sunlight slanted across the grass of the training field, and at that moment, Koki's sharp eyes inadvertently caught a figure moving slowly at the edge of the distant woods.
Despite the distance and the blurry face in the sunlight, a strong feeling welled up in Koki's heart: the owner of that figure was undoubtedly Lin.
His heart involuntarily quickened, because he knew that the next moment was crucial for Obito.
Koki quickly turned her head and whispered to Obito, "Obito-nii, look over there, Rin's here!"
His voice carried a hint of excitement and anticipation, as well as trust and support for Obito.
Upon Obito immediately looked in the direction Koki pointed and indeed saw that familiar figure slowly walking towards them.
Seeing this, Koki knew it was time for him to leave. He patted Obito on the shoulder and said encouragingly.
"Alright, I'll hide now so I don't disturb your time together. Obito-nii! I believe you can do it!"
Koki's words were like an arrow released from a bow; as soon as they left her lips, she didn't wait for any response from Obito.
His movements were swift and decisive, like a nimble cat, quickly darting towards a large, leafy tree.
He found an excellent hiding place, a spot that was just right, allowing him to clearly witness the scene about to unfold while ensuring that he would not be noticed by Lin as she approached.
Obito's gaze was fixed on Koki's departing, graceful figure, as if time had stood still at that moment.
"Hey, why are you running?" He sighed softly, stopped, and followed Koki's elusive trail with his gaze, as if searching for that receding figure.
The bouquet of roses he clutched tightly in his hand, as vibrant as blood, was now silently hidden behind him, as if it too was keeping some unspoken promise.
Obito hesitated between chasing Koki or waiting for Rin to arrive.
As Rin drew closer, Obito a deep breath, trying to make his expression appear as natural as possible.
Sunlight spilled onto the training field, creating dappled patterns of light and shadow.
Rin Nohara's steps were light, like a spring breeze brushing against willow branches. She slowly walked towards Obito until the distance between them was enough for their breaths to mingle.
Rin wore an apologetic smile as she gently said, "Obito, I'm so sorry I'm late. I ran into Kurenai and Asuma on the way and chatted with them for a while. I didn't realize how quickly time had passed."
