Crying~
Obito Koki's laughter, Obito stopped, turned around, and looked at Koki with a mixture of confusion and grievance, as if asking, "Why did you stop?"
In the darkness, Koki's words drifted on the gentle breeze, "This is the last time. I'll catch up and then go to sleep."
The moment he finished speaking, he shot off like an arrow.
"Ah." However, at that moment, Koki tripped over something, suddenly stumbled, slipped, and the whole world seemed to spin before his eyes. He inevitably fell forward.
Koki closed her eyes helplessly, awaiting the impending impact.
At that critical moment, Obito heard the sound. He quickly turned around and tried to catch Koki. However, time seemed to freeze at that moment. His movements were a beat too slow, Koki had already fallen straight into his arms like a kite with a broken string.
"Bang!" The two of them instantly lost their balance and fell to the ground.
Koki opened his eyes, he found himself lying on top of Obito. He struggled to get up, but Obito gently pulled him back.
"Are you alright, Obito-nii?" Koki asked worriedly. He was unharmed, but Obito seemed to have become his human cushion.
Obito remained silent, his gaze fixed blankly on Koki's face. Koki, somewhat frightened, gently touched Obito's hair, saying softly, "Don't hurt your head. You're not very bright to begin with; don't let this fall make you even dumber."
Koki waited for Obito's response. Normally, if Koki had said that to him, he would have retorted long ago. But this time, all he got was Obito holding him tightly around the waist, pressing his face against his shoulder, and sobbing softly.
Koki was genuinely startled by Obito's reaction. Are all drunk people this unpredictable?
How many times has Obito's usually so carefree, cried tonight?
"Obito-nii- nii, don't cry, don't cry. Tell me what's wrong, it's okay." Koki's voice was filled with worry. Obito's hand was pressing on the back of his head to prevent him from leaving, so he could only reach out and stroke Obito's hair.
Obito didn't seem to hear clearly, or perhaps he didn't intend to respond. He simply held Koki tightly, as if he wanted to pour out all his pain and grievances.
Oh, this child is so pitiful.
Koki gently patted Obito's shoulder and ruffled his hair, trying to comfort him. His voice was especially gentle. "Don't be afraid, I'm here."
Obito's crying gradually subsided, and he finally released Koki's head, but his other hand still tightly hugged Koki's waist, not letting him leave.
"Koki, Koki." Obito kept murmuring Koki's name, his voice choked with emotion.
"Hmm?" Koki looked up and met a pair of eyes filled with tears.
Koki was instantly stunned.
Because Obito wasn't wearing his signature orange goggles at that moment, Koki was finally able to see his eyes clearly. What captivating eyes they were! Due to the tears he had just shed, a thin layer of moisture welled up in Obito's eyes, with teardrops lingering at the corners, seemingly about to fall, making them appear exceptionally beautiful.
In the dim light, Obito felt Koki fixed on him and hurriedly looked away. Unexpectedly, this action caused two lines of tears to silently slide down his cheeks, wetting his clothes.
Koki struggled and said in a low voice, "Obito-nii, could you please let go of me so I can get up?"
The two were indeed in a somewhat awkward position.
"No! I don't want to." Obito stubbornly shook his head, refusing to let go no matter what. After hearing Koki's words, he even unconsciously increased the strength in his hands, making Koki even closer to him.
"Do you hate me too? Koki, I don't want you to hate me..." Obito's face was pale, and tears of sorrow flowed like an unstoppable spring, streaming down his cheeks, past the corners of his mouth, and finally dripping to the ground, quickly forming a small wet patch.
His sobs were soft and not loud, with a slight sob, like the rustling sound of a spring breeze blowing through a pear orchard. His pitiful appearance now was completely different from Obito's usual Obito.
"How could that be? I never hated you." Koki finally stopped struggling and replied softly.
"Really?!" Upon hearing this, Obito's eyes flashed with surprise, tears blurring his vision and making his world hazy yet beautiful. Although he couldn't see anything clearly, his gaze remained fixed on Koki, yearning for a promise from him.
Koki just watched him silently.
The long wait caused Obito's body to tremble involuntarily, and his lips trembled slightly, as if silently expressing the sadness and pain in his heart.
Obito's weeping appearance evoked pity, and his tear-streaked face was incredibly heartbreaking.
"Koki, Koki, Koki..." Obito kept softly calling out Koki's name, as if this name was his whole world.
"Alright! What are you crying for?" Koki finally couldn't help but speak up.
Obito was stunned by his words, his tearful eyes looking pitifully at Koki, as if he didn't understand why the other party had suddenly become angry.
Koki frowned, looking at Obito's tearful face with a headache. His eyes were wet with tears, sparkling like the brightest stars in the night sky. His face was pale, but the corners of his eyes were slightly red from crying. He helplessly called out his name, like... like what? Like a puppy that he had ruthlessly abandoned.
"Don't cry!" Koki said firmly, wiping away his tears with slightly rough movements.
"Mmm." Obito obediently stopped crying and nodded.
"Alright, Obito-nii, okay?" Seeing Obito so obedient, Koki's hardened heart softened. He spoke gently, "I didn't mean to be so mean to you just now, please forgive me."
Koki wasn't lying. Looking at Obito's tearful face, he suddenly wished that he would cry even harder, wanting to make him feel even more pitiful.
Although he didn't quite understand what kind of emotion this was, Koki keenly sensed that something was wrong and that he shouldn't be having these thoughts.
