Prayer Bead for a Dog to Play With, the Two Sages of the West's Thoughts
At Lin Tian's bamboo hut.
Lin Tian watched Duobao hurry away, looking somewhat startled.
He found it rather strange.
"What's wrong with Fellow Daoist Dabao?"
"What's he in such a hurry for?"
"Wasn't he just drinking fish soup as if he were right at home?"
"How did he get in such a hurry in the blink of an eye?"
At that thought.
Lin Tian sighed helplessly and thought no more about it.
To him, Fellow Daoist Dabao was merely someone he had met by chance in his leisure time.
Dabao did not hold much weight in his heart.
They had merely met like duckweed drifting on the water.
If they met again, he would make sure Dabao had his fill and didn't have to go hungry.
That was what Lin Tian thought.
His gaze fell on the axe and the prayer bead lying on the stone table before him.
He shook his head helplessly.
"Alas, Fellow Daoist Dabao is a pitiful man too. He probably doesn't have anything good to his name."
"He even gave me an axe and a cheap bead like this. It must have been hard on him."
Muttering thus.
Lin Tian did not intend to let the two objects sit idle.
He casually picked up the axe.
He placed it beside the firewood.
He planned to use it to chop firewood from now on.
"This bead looks pretty good."
"But it doesn't seem to be of much use, does it?"
Lin Tian muttered as he weighed the bead in his hand.
The bead gave off a faint light and a trace of a profound presence.
Lin Tian paid it no mind and planned to put the prayer bead in a recess in the wall to use as a night light.
But before Lin Tian could do anything.
Erha bounded up to his ankle.
He stared at the bead, his doggy eyes shining.
He also wagged his tail happily, a covetous look on his face.
He seemed to like the bead very much.
Seeing Erha's expression, Lin Tian could not help asking in a curious tone.
"You like it?"
Erha understood him and jumped up, growing even happier.
Lin Tian smiled, casually tossed the bead to Erha, and said lightly.
"All right, since you like it, take it and play with it."
Clack!
As Lin Tian's words fell.
He tossed the bead to Erha.
Erha happily pushed the bead into his own nest.
Then he curled up inside and did not come out.
Seeing Erha act as though he had obtained some rare treasure.
Lin Tian could not help smiling.
In his view, the bead was an ordinary trinket at best.
It could only serve as a toy for Erha.
It did not seem to have any other use!
After Lin Tian had dealt with the two magic treasures, he could not help sighing deeply.
"Alas, I'd better have less to do with these natives of the Primordial World from now on."
"Every one of them is unbearably polite. They're just nobodies themselves, yet they're obsessed with the misty, elusive bonds of karma. What's the point?"
"It'd be one thing if these natives cared about such things, but I ended up with a pile of trinkets I can't use."
"What a waste of feeling."
Lin Tian pursed his lips and walked out of the pavilion.
He looked at the flowers and plants before him; the path was somewhat untidy.
He did not dwell on these trifles any longer.
Instead, he casually took out the scissors Fellow Daoist Gongming's younger sister had given him back then.
He spent a while trimming the flower branches and scattered leaves.
Once the flowers and plants were tidy.
Only then did Lin Tian stretch and lie down in the rocking chair nearby, narrowing his eyes as he gazed at the setting sun in the sky.
"Should I continue cultivating?"
He hesitated for a moment.
In the end, laziness overcame indignation.
Lin Tian sighed and said lazily.
"Forget it. I cooked today, and I'm too tired. I need to rest for a while."
"It won't be too late to cultivate after I finish writing my diary tomorrow morning."
After that thought flashed through his mind.
Lin Tian closed his eyes and began to rest.
He was living an incomparably leisurely life here.
But he did not know.
Beyond the Primordial World.
The winds were already rising and the clouds surging!
The Two Sages of the West in particular were currently planning to visit the Interception Sect in person because of a certain matter!
