Arc 1The Secluded Dragon’s Rise

Ao Changsheng remained in seclusion, building an inner world and reaching Daluo before defeating thirteen pursuers and helping Gonggong advance to Quasi-Sage. As Hongjun’s second lecture reshaped the balance among the Witch Race, Demon Race, and other cultivators, Gonggong and Houtu repaid Ao Changsheng with treasures and spirit roots.

  • Ao Changsheng chose prolonged seclusion, gained the Ancestral Dragon Breathing Technique, Ancestral Dragon Pearl, and Eye of the Candle Dragon, then wounded Great Immortal Yangmei and traded a Jade Disc of Creation fragment to Hongjun for treasures and spirit roots.
  • Hongjun held his first sermon at Purple Cloud Palace, where the Three Purities, Nüwa, Jieyin, and Zhunti claimed the six prominent cushions, and Houtu learned that the Witch Race’s opportunity lay with a secluded figure on the East Sea.
  • Ao Changsheng formed an inner world, broke through to Daluo, and killed thirteen Daluo Golden Immortals who pursued him after Eastern Emperor Taiyi identified him as a Dragon Race cultivator.
  • Ao Changsheng returned to his hidden sanctuary and sentenced Gonggong to support the chaotic matter and energy in his embryonic universe, where Pangu’s power stabilized the world and raised Gonggong to Quasi-Sage.
  • Hongjun summoned cultivators to his second lecture, and Gonggong reunited with the Ancestral Witches before leading them to Purple Firmament Palace.
  • Hongjun taught the method of Severing the Three Corpses, while the Ancestral Witches repeatedly broke through through their own path and Laozi, Yuanshi, Tongtian, Nüwa, Jieyin, Zhunti, Dijun, and Eastern Emperor Taiyi advanced through severing corpses.
  • Hongjun appointed Eastern King Duke and Western Queen Mother, distributed spirit treasures, and announced his third lecture, while Gonggong and Houtu brought Ao Changsheng treasures and spirit roots in gratitude for Gonggong’s breakthrough.

Arc 2The Witch-Demon Tribulation

Ao Changsheng clashed with Dijun and resisted Hongjun’s attempts to steer the rise of the Heavenly Court as the Witch-Demon conflict devastated both races. After Nüwa created the Human Race and attained Sagehood, Laozi wondered why her barrier suppressed the people it sheltered, and an unseen voice declared that their future lay elsewhere.

  • Houtu and Gonggong sought Ao Changsheng’s guidance, and he warned that the Witch and Demon Races faced a great calamity and might survive only by recognizing what they could contribute to the Primordial World.
  • Dijun attacked Ao Changsheng, but Ao Changsheng routed him and Eastern Emperor Taiyi before Hongjun intervened and offered Jianmu in exchange for sparing the demon emperors during the tribulation.
  • Dijun established the Heavenly Court as the Witch Race launched a long assault on the Demon Race, and the Ancestral Witches later formed their Pangu-like giant before Hongjun confined them to Mount Buzhou for a million years.
  • After rebuilding, the Demon Race fought the returning Witches with the Zhou Tian Star Dou Great Formation, but Houtu led the wounded Witch Race to escape, and their summoned Pangu shattered the formation and struck the Heavenly Court.
  • Dijun’s formation failed to overcome Ao Changsheng, who engulfed his Golden Crow attack in a hastily created world before Hongjun erased the spectacle and awarded Ao Changsheng merit.
  • Eastern King Duke attacked Dijun in the East Sea, but Xihe and Kunpeng aided the Demon Race, while Ao Changsheng recognized the Devil Qi behind Eastern King Duke’s power.
  • Nüwa found Nine Heavens Breathing Soil beneath the withered Innate Gourd Vine, created the Human Race, severed her Self Corpse, and attained Sagehood through the merit she received.
  • As humans multiplied and many left Nüwa’s barrier to seek cultivation, Laozi wondered why it suppressed them, and an unseen voice told him that the Human Race’s future did not lie in this world.
