Arc 1The Secluded Dragon’s Rise

Ao Changsheng remained in seclusion, building an inner world and reaching Daluo before defeating thirteen pursuers and helping Gonggong advance to Quasi-Sage. As Hongjun’s second lecture reshaped the balance among the Witch Race, Demon Race, and other cultivators, Gonggong and Houtu repaid Ao Changsheng with treasures and spirit roots.

  • Ao Changsheng chose prolonged seclusion, gained the Ancestral Dragon Breathing Technique, Ancestral Dragon Pearl, and Eye of the Candle Dragon, then wounded Great Immortal Yangmei and traded a Jade Disc of Creation fragment to Hongjun for treasures and spirit roots.
  • Hongjun held his first sermon at Purple Cloud Palace, where the Three Purities, Nüwa, Jieyin, and Zhunti claimed the six prominent cushions, and Houtu learned that the Witch Race’s opportunity lay with a secluded figure on the East Sea.
  • Ao Changsheng formed an inner world, broke through to Daluo, and killed thirteen Daluo Golden Immortals who pursued him after Eastern Emperor Taiyi identified him as a Dragon Race cultivator.
  • Ao Changsheng returned to his hidden sanctuary and sentenced Gonggong to support the chaotic matter and energy in his embryonic universe, where Pangu’s power stabilized the world and raised Gonggong to Quasi-Sage.
  • Hongjun summoned cultivators to his second lecture, and Gonggong reunited with the Ancestral Witches before leading them to Purple Firmament Palace.
  • Hongjun taught the method of Severing the Three Corpses, while the Ancestral Witches repeatedly broke through through their own path and Laozi, Yuanshi, Tongtian, Nüwa, Jieyin, Zhunti, Dijun, and Eastern Emperor Taiyi advanced through severing corpses.
  • Hongjun appointed Eastern King Duke and Western Queen Mother, distributed spirit treasures, and announced his third lecture, while Gonggong and Houtu brought Ao Changsheng treasures and spirit roots in gratitude for Gonggong’s breakthrough.
Chapters 1–25 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 1The Dragon Race Falls Just as I'm Born?

Newly hatched dragon Ao Changsheng learned that the Dragon Race was facing ruin after Luohou's declaration and used the Strongest Seclusion System to begin cultivating. After ten thousand years in seclusion, he chose another hundred thousand years of cultivation rather than leave to protect the Dragon Race.

  • Ao Changsheng hatched on a nameless island in the East Sea as Luohou declared his intention to create the Devil Realm and devoured a white dragon.
  • Ao Changsheng recognized that he had been reborn in the Primordial World during the Dragon Han First Calamity and feared the Dragon Race's coming decline.
  • The Strongest Seclusion System awakened, and Ao Changsheng chose ten thousand years of seclusion to obtain the Ancestral Dragon Breathing Technique.
  • Ao Changsheng cultivated with the Ancestral Dragon Breathing Technique for ten thousand years and received a new seclusion choice.
  • Ao Changsheng rejected the option to leave and protect the Dragon Race, choosing instead to cultivate in seclusion for one hundred thousand years for the Ancestral Dragon Pearl.

Ch. 2Seclusion Reward: The Ancestral Dragon Pearl

After receiving the Ancestral Dragon Pearl, Ao Changsheng advanced to the perfected Golden Immortal realm during a hundred thousand years of seclusion. The system offered him a choice involving Great Immortal Yangmei, whose attempt to investigate Ao Changsheng's cultivation ground ended with his Divine Sense and Law Power destroyed.

  • The Ancestral Dragon Pearl merged into Ao Changsheng, strengthened his bloodline and foundation, and helped him rapidly advance to the perfected Golden Immortal realm.
  • The system offered Ao Changsheng the choice to follow Great Immortal Yangmei into Chaos, venture into the Primordial World and lose the system, or remain in seclusion for a million years to earn the Eye of the Candle Dragon.
  • Great Immortal Yangmei saw Ao Changsheng's vast cultivation ground from the East Sea and wondered whether its method of severing heaven and earth could let him take part of the Primordial World into Chaos.
  • Great Immortal Yangmei tried to enter the cultivation ground and probe it with Divine Sense and Law Power, but the ground's defenses blocked him.
  • Ao Changsheng detected Yangmei's intrusion and shattered the incoming Divine Sense and Law Power with the power of his cultivation ground.

Ch. 3The Dao Field's Wonders! Great Immortal Yangmei

Ao Changsheng rejected Great Immortal Yangmei’s apologies and proposal to cut away part of the Primordial World, then chose a million years of secluded cultivation and gained the Eye of the Candle Dragon. He attacked Yangmei, who used the Great Dao of Space to envelop the Dao Field and prepared to capture him.

  • Ao Changsheng discovered that Great Immortal Yangmei had probed his Dao Field and angrily ordered him to leave.
  • Yangmei offered spiritual treasures as an apology, but Ao Changsheng sensed his malice and refused them.
  • Yangmei warned that Hongjun would soon attain the Dao and proposed that they cut away part of the Primordial World and flee into Chaos together.
  • Ao Changsheng condemned Yangmei and chose to continue secluded cultivation for a million years, gaining the Eye of the Candle Dragon Divine Ability.
  • Ao Changsheng fired black-and-white divine light at Yangmei, who summoned a hollow willow and used the Great Dao of Space to envelop the Dao Field.

Ch. 4The Dao Field's Might! Fragment of Creation

Ao Changsheng used the Dao field’s power to wound Yangmei and drive him away, then discovered a Jade Disc of Creation Fragment hidden among the treasures Yangmei left behind. He realized Yangmei had planted it to expose him to Hongjun, and the chapter left him wary of the scheme.

  • Ao Changsheng struck Yangmei with the Eye of the Candle Dragon, piercing his Great Dao of Space and severely wounding him.
  • Yangmei escaped beyond Ao Changsheng’s range and promised to seek revenge in the Chaos.
  • Ao Changsheng collected and examined the five spirit treasures Yangmei had left behind, detecting a hidden presence of the Dao of Space in a sword-shaped one.
  • Ao Changsheng found a small grotto-heaven inside the sword and discovered a Jade Disc of Creation Fragment.
  • Ao Changsheng concluded Yangmei had planted the fragment to draw Hongjun’s attention to him.

Ch. 5Scheming! Hongjun Takes Notice

Ao Changsheng realized Yangmei had given him the Jade Disc of Creation fragment to draw Hongjun’s attention, and decided to use Hongjun’s visit as a chance to trade it for treasures. Hongjun detected the fragment during his lecture at Mount Kunlun and left to investigate, while the Three Purities continued cultivating.

  • Ao Changsheng examined Yangmei’s Jade Disc of Creation fragment and concluded it was useless to his cultivation but valuable to Hongjun.
  • Ao Changsheng realized that removing the fragment from Yangmei’s grotto-heaven had exposed it to the Heavenly Dao and likely alerted Hongjun.
  • Ao Changsheng decided to lure the pre-Dao Hongjun to his cultivation grounds and hoped to trade the fragment for several supreme-grade Innate Spirit Treasures.
  • Hongjun abruptly stopped lecturing the Three Purities at Mount Kunlun after sensing a fortuitous opportunity and departed to investigate.
  • Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian speculated about Hongjun’s opportunity, then resumed cultivating diligently.

Ch. 6Hongjun's Deal

Hongjun followed the Jade Disc of Creation’s signal to Ao Changsheng’s vast cultivation grounds and discovered that the region had been made into a small world. Ao Changsheng offered to trade a fragment of the Jade Disc for Innate Spirit Treasures and Innate Spirit Roots, leaving Hongjun to consider the deal.

  • Hongjun followed the Jade Disc of Creation’s signal across the East Sea and found a vast expanse of heaven and earth that the Heavenly Dao said had wandered off and gotten lost.
  • Hongjun deduced that the expanse had been reconstructed into a small world, but could not identify who had made it.
  • Ao Changsheng noticed Hongjun approaching and sent an incarnation to greet him, while his true body remained in seclusion.
  • Hongjun declined Ao Changsheng’s invitation to enter the cultivation grounds and asked him to state the proposed deal.
  • Ao Changsheng showed Hongjun a fragment of the Jade Disc of Creation and offered to exchange it for Innate Spirit Treasures and Innate Spirit Roots.

Ch. 7Hongjun Attains the Dao! Purple Cloud Palace

After Hongjun left, Ao Changsheng planted the treasures he had traded for and continued cultivating until Hongjun attained the Dao and summoned the Primordial World’s great experts to Purple Cloud Palace. Ao Changsheng chose to remain in seclusion, while the gathered Daluo Golden Immortals waited for the palace gates to open.

  • Ao Changsheng stored Hongjun’s Innate Spirit Treasures, planted the Innate Spirit Roots, and found that the Yellow Center Plum increased his cultivation speed.
  • Ao Changsheng learned the Yellow Center Plum’s rare fruits could grant immense cultivation, though he could not digest them at his current level, and he resumed his seclusion.
  • A million years after the first Dragon and Han calamity, Hongjun attained the Dao, established Purple Cloud Palace in the Chaos, and invited those fated to hear his sermon.
  • Ao Changsheng considered attending the sermon but stayed in seclusion rather than risk traveling through Chaos with a supreme-grade Innate Spirit Treasure.
  • At Purple Cloud Palace, Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian waited with thousands of Daluo Golden Immortals as Jieyin and Zhunti arrived late and bedraggled.
  • The gates of Purple Cloud Palace opened, and Laozi and Yuanshi scolded Tongtian for loudly calling attention to it.

Ch. 8Jieyin and Zhunti

After completing the Jade Disc of Creation, Hongjun opened the Purple Firmament Palace for his sermon, and the Primordial World’s mighty figures raced to claim the six cushions nearest his platform. Jieyin and Zhunti secured the final two by taking a detour around the scramble.

  • Hongjun realized the crowd had been waiting outside because he forgot to have the palace doors opened while contemplating the completed Jade Disc of Creation, then ordered his attendants to open them.
  • The attendants announced the sermon and admitted the gathered figures, who spotted six prominent cushions and rushed to claim them.
  • The Three Purities used the Heaven and Earth Black and Yellow Exquisite Pagoda to take three front cushions, while the Twelve Ancestral Witches dragged Dijun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi away from the next two.
  • Fuxi held back the other Daluo cultivators long enough for Nüwa to claim the fourth cushion.
  • As the remaining contenders stalled one another, Jieyin and Zhunti took a detour around the crowd and sat on the last two cushions; Zhunti thanked the others for yielding.

Ch. 9The Preaching Begins

Hongjun preached the Immortal Dao to the assembled Daluo in the Purple Firmament Palace, then told them he would continue with teachings beyond Daluo in ten thousand years. Houtu asked how the Witch Race could cultivate, and Hongjun pointed her toward a secluded Daoist sanctuary on the East Sea where Ao Changsheng lived.

  • The Daluo took their seats, and Hongjun appeared on the platform and fixed the seating order.
  • Hongjun preached the Immortal Dao for three thousand years, bringing the listeners profound insights into the path to Daluo.
  • Hongjun announced that his next sermon would cover what lay beyond Daluo and the path to attaining the Dao.
  • Houtu asked Hongjun to instruct the Witch Race because they could not cultivate the Immortal Dao without harming their bloodline.
  • Hongjun said the Witch Race's opportunity might lie with a mighty figure living in seclusion at a Daoist sanctuary on the East Sea, then vanished.

Ch. 10Hongjun Immortal Dao, a Million Years in Seclusion

The Ancestral Witches discussed why Houtu had asked Hongjun for guidance and agreed to search the East Sea for the reclusive mighty figure he had mentioned. Meanwhile, Ao Changsheng completed a million years of seclusion and considered how to avoid locking his cultivation into the Dragon Principle when breaking through to Daluo.

  • Dijiang explained that Houtu’s question had helped protect the Witch Race from hostility as the Primordial World’s mighty figures adopted Hongjun Immortal Dao.
  • Zhu Jiuyin persuaded the Ancestral Witches to search the East Sea, and he assigned Gonggong and Houtu to investigate its entire shore.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi asked Dijun why they had let the Ancestral Witches leave, and Dijun said they would settle accounts after gathering allies.
  • Ao Changsheng completed a million years in seclusion and received a prompt from the Seclusion System to choose a new seclusion.
  • Ao Changsheng decided not to break through to Daluo yet because forming a Dragon Principle Dao Fruit could limit his future cultivation, then opened the system’s choice panel.

Ch. 11Attaining the Dao of Daluo

Ao Changsheng chose ten million years of seclusion and received the Method of Opening an Inner World, a path to attaining the Dao by cultivating a world within himself. He used unlimited Innate Spiritual Qi to create that world, broke through to Daluo, and formed a thirty-sixth-grade Daluo Dao Fruit.

  • Ao Changsheng rejected the option to emerge and lead the Dragon Race, choosing instead to remain in seclusion for ten million years.
  • Ao Changsheng learned that the Method of Opening an Inner World let him nurture a world seed and comprehend the Dao through its natural evolution.
  • Ao Changsheng realized the Seclusion System’s unlimited Innate Spiritual Qi could supply the resources his inner world needed to grow.
  • At the shore of the East Sea, Ao Changsheng absorbed Innate Spiritual Qi and formed a world within his dragon body.
  • Ao Changsheng broke through to the Daluo realm as his three flowers bloomed at the twelfth grade.
  • Ao Changsheng’s flowers merged with his inner world and bloomed at the thirty-sixth grade, forming a Daluo Dao Fruit.

Ch. 12Facing Pangu

Ao Changsheng broke through to Daluo by crossing the River of Space and Time and facing Pangu’s Dao of Opening the Heavens. Afterward, he met Hongyun and Zhenyuanzi, while another cultivator remarked on the Dragon Race’s rare appearance.

  • Ao Changsheng’s Dao Fruit carried his soul beyond the River of Space and Time, where he traveled upstream through the Primordial World’s history.
  • Ao Changsheng entered the era of Pangu opening the heavens and held firm to his own Dao as Pangu’s axe light passed over him.
  • Ao Changsheng attained Daluo, and cultivators throughout the Primordial World sensed his breakthrough.
  • Hongyun congratulated Ao Changsheng, who recognized him but doubted that he was the legendary Mr. Nice Guy.
  • Zhenyuanzi introduced himself and congratulated Ao Changsheng, who returned his greeting indifferently.
  • An approaching figure remarked that the Dragon Race had seemed to disappear, and expressed surprise at seeing one of its Daluo cultivators.

Ch. 13Identity Exposed, Enemies of the Dragon Race

After Eastern Emperor Taiyi exposed Ao Changsheng as a Dragon Race Daluo, thirteen Daluo Golden Immortals pursued him over old grievances against the Dragon Race. Ao Changsheng confronted them in the chaotic early Primordial World and killed one attacker with a strike of black-and-white Qi.

  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi identified Ao Changsheng as a Daluo of the Dragon Race, turning the surrounding Daluo Golden Immortals against him.
  • Ao Changsheng left the Chaos, but thirteen Daluo Golden Immortals followed to hunt him down while Hongyun and Zhenyuanzi watched in alarm.
  • At the source of the long river of time and space, the pursuers accused the Dragon Race of past abuses and threatened Ao Changsheng.
  • Ao Changsheng mocked the pursuers for failing to resist the Dragon Race in the past and rejected their threats.
  • Ao Changsheng fired black-and-white Qi through a pursuer's poisonous miasma and ground him into oblivion.

Ch. 14A Rabble, Wiped Out to the Last

Ao Changsheng defeated and killed twelve Daluo Golden Immortals who attacked him in Chaos, then returned to the Primordial World of his own era. The four sacred beasts watched his departure and discussed how challenging his era would be.

  • Ao Changsheng used the Ancestral Dragon Pearl to grow into a colossal dragon and withstand the attacks of twelve Daluo Golden Immortals.
  • The Daluo tried to flee, but Ao Changsheng trapped them in worlds formed by his dragon claws and ground them all into oblivion.
  • Ao Changsheng collected the Daluo's possessions, left the area, and followed the river of time back to his own era's Primordial World.
  • White Tiger teased Azure Dragon about Ao Changsheng's strength, while Black Tortoise and Vermilion Bird discussed the dangers of the current era.
  • White Tiger destroyed a Chaos Demon God who approached the Primordial World and merged the demon's origin essence into it.

Ch. 15Turmoil in the Primordial World

Dijun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi failed to locate Ao Changsheng and discussed the Dragon Race’s inheritance, while news of Ao’s victory spread among the Daluo and reached Hongjun. Ao Changsheng returned to the East Sea amid the heavens’ celebration of his Daluo attainment, leaving his cultivation grounds hidden.

  • Dijun failed to pinpoint where Ao Changsheng had attained the Dao, and Eastern Emperor Taiyi urged him to pursue the Dragon Race’s resources and inheritance.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi proposed capturing Dragon Race members to force Ao Changsheng to reveal himself, but Dijun warned him not to provoke Azure Dragon.
  • Dijun said he would search the East Sea for Ao Changsheng and reminded Eastern Emperor Taiyi that their Demon Race had time to pursue its ambitions.
  • Daluo spread news that Ao Changsheng had attained the Dao and killed thirteen Daluo Golden Immortals, stirring varied reactions across the Primordial World.
  • Hongjun realized Ao Changsheng belonged to the Dragon Race, speculated that he was estranged from it, and chose not to interfere.
  • Ao Changsheng returned to the East Sea as heaven and earth celebrated his Daluo attainment, while cultivators failed to find his hidden cultivation grounds.

Ch. 16The Innate Spirit Root Yellow Center Plum and Gonggong's Unexpected Arrival

After reaching Daluo, Ao Changsheng ate a Yellow Center Plum and prepared to resume seclusion, but he noticed a Daluo approaching his hidden cultivation ground. The visitor turned out to be Gonggong, who had arrived while searching the East Sea and finally spotted Ao Changsheng’s island.

  • Ao Changsheng confirmed that his breakthrough had not ended his system-counted seclusion and decided to keep cultivating.
  • Ao Changsheng ate a Yellow Center Plum and found that it provided Law Power equivalent to a hundred thousand years of his cultivation.
  • Ao Changsheng sensed a Daluo approaching and sent an avatar to observe the figure from an island at the edge of his cultivation ground.
  • Ao Changsheng saw Gonggong swimming and performing dives across the East Sea, unaware that Gonggong was searching for a hidden expert.
  • Gonggong leaped out of the water toward the island and met Ao Changsheng’s avatar’s gaze.

Ch. 17Imprisoned for a Hundred Years

Ao Changsheng subdued Gonggong after the Ancestral Witch threatened him, then sentenced him to hold up the heavens inside a chaotic embryonic universe for a hundred years. Gonggong struggled under the universe’s mounting pressure and begged for mercy while Ao Changsheng’s avatar idly pondered how to pass the time.

  • Gonggong emerged from the sea and tried to make Ao Changsheng deny seeing his embarrassing swim, but Ao Changsheng’s sanctuary pressure overwhelmed him.
  • Gonggong identified himself as an Ancestral Witch of the Witch Race and apologized for entering Ao Changsheng’s sanctuary.
  • Ao Changsheng sentenced Gonggong to hold up the heavens in his embryonic great thousand universe for a hundred years and sent him inside.
  • Gonggong found the universe’s chaotic matter and energy increasingly pressed against him, forcing him to use his full strength to survive.
  • Gonggong feared Ao Changsheng meant to kill him and cried out for mercy, while Ao Changsheng’s avatar pondered how to pass the coming years.

Ch. 18The Power of Pangu in the Ancestral Witch Bloodline

Ao Changsheng tested Gonggong inside an embryonic great universe, where crushing pressure nearly killed him before a faint force of Pangu’s will brought the universe into balance. Gonggong’s body transformed and absorbed the Great Dao of Water, making him the first Quasi-Sage of the era while he remained unconscious.

  • Gonggong endured the great universe’s pressure for years until his Ancestral Witch body was crushed into a lump, though his Great Dao of Water kept his true spirit alive.
  • Ao Changsheng appeared and prepared to remove Gonggong, but a roar from Gonggong’s body revealed a faint force that Ao Changsheng suspected was Pangu’s will.
  • The faint force calmed a small patch of chaotic matter and energy, triggering a spreading balance that eventually stabilized the entire great universe.
  • Over ten years, Gonggong recovered and his Ancestral Witch body gradually transformed under the influence of Pangu’s power.
  • The Great Dao of Water entered Gonggong’s body and fused with it, raising his cultivation from Perfection Daluo to Quasi-Sage while he remained unconscious.

Ch. 19Merging with the Dao? Attaining the Dao? The path of the Quasi-Sage

Ao Changsheng watched Pangu’s power create a vast universe and gained insights that advanced his understanding of world evolution. After studying Gonggong’s breakthrough to Quasi-Sage, he let the hundred-year imprisonment run its course and sent Gonggong back to the Primordial World.

  • Ao Changsheng observed Pangu’s power open a vast universe and gained insights into nurturing his inner world.
  • Ao Changsheng discovered that Gonggong had broken through to Quasi-Sage and examined how he merged the Great Dao of Water into his body.
  • Ao Changsheng compared four Quasi-Sage paths and concluded they centered on merging with the Dao or attaining the Dao.
  • Ao Changsheng extended Gonggong’s sleep so he would remain imprisoned for a hundred years.
  • After a hundred years, Ao Changsheng opened a passage to the Primordial World and kicked Gonggong through it.

Ch. 20Hongjun's Test?

Gonggong realized that Ao Changsheng had guided him to a Quasi-Sage breakthrough, and he resolved to repay the senior’s kindness. Hongjun reflected on Ao Changsheng’s hidden strength and his own worries about Chaos, before sending Law Power toward the Dao bell.

  • Gonggong awoke in the air, discovered he had survived and broken through to the Quasi-Sage realm, then plunged into the sea after forgetting to fly.
  • Gonggong recalled Ao Changsheng’s guidance, concluded the senior had helped him rather than tried to kill him, and flew back toward the Witch Race’s base, resolved to repay him.
  • Hongjun revealed that he had secretly guided Gonggong to Ao Changsheng’s cultivation ground and observed the breakthrough through the Heavenly Dao.
  • Hongjun considered Ao Changsheng’s mysterious power and felt reassured that he belonged to the Dragon Race rather than being a Chaos Demon God.
  • Hongjun remembered failing to stop Yangmei from leaving Chaos and worried that the Great Dao Oath might be circumvented, then sent Law Power toward the Dao bell.

Ch. 21The Dao Lecture Draws Near

As the second Dao lecture approached, the Primordial World’s Daluo Golden Immortals raced toward the Purple Firmament Palace while Ao Changsheng remained in seclusion. Gonggong waited beyond the world membrane for his siblings, and the chapter ended with him revealing his new Quasi-Sage power after they warned him about confronting Dijun and Taiyi.

  • The Dao bell announced Hongjun’s second lecture, prompting Daluo Golden Immortals across the Primordial World to head for the Purple Firmament Palace.
  • Ao Changsheng considered the coming Quasi-Sage age and the future Witch-Demon Tribulation, but chose to remain in seclusion.
  • Gonggong waited beyond the world membrane for his siblings, while Dijun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi decided not to attack him and entered Chaos to reach the lecture.
  • Gonggong spotted his eleven siblings and abandoned his chance to pursue Dijun and Taiyi so he could greet them.
  • Dijiang questioned Gonggong for coming alone and learned he had forgotten the plan; Houtu explained that she had worried he might encounter Dijun and Taiyi.
  • After Zhurong teased him for his recklessness, Gonggong released his Quasi-Sage presence and said he would have killed Dijun and Taiyi if he had not seen his siblings arrive.

Ch. 22The Second Lecture at the Purple Firmament Palace

Gonggong reunited with the Ancestral Witches after breaking through to Quasi-Sage, but he had missed their chance to stop Dijun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi from reaching the Purple Firmament Palace. As Hongjun began his second lecture on the path beyond Daluo Golden Immortal, the Twelve Ancestral Witches sat near their enemies and eyed the Demon Race’s allies.

  • Gonggong revealed that he had reached Quasi-Sage after cultivating at Ao Changsheng’s Dao field, and Dijiang reproached him for letting Dijun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi pass unchallenged.
  • Zhu Jiuyin urged the Ancestral Witches to hurry to the Purple Firmament Palace and disrupt the Demon Race’s lecture, and Gonggong led them through Chaos.
  • The Twelve Ancestral Witches arrived to find Dijun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi seated in the second row, then glared at them and their recruited Daluo.
  • After several thousand years, Hongjun appeared on the high platform and began a three-thousand-year lecture on the path beyond Daluo Golden Immortal.

Ch. 23Quasi-Sages! Emerge

Hongjun lectured the assembled mighty figures on the Three Corpses method while the Twelve Ancestral Witches repeatedly broke through to the Quasi-Sage realm, disrupting the Demon Race’s cultivation. Near the end of the thousand-year lecture, Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian each severed a corpse and reached the Quasi-Sage realm.

  • Hongjun began a three-thousand-year lecture on attaining the Dao beyond the Daluo Golden Immortal realm and explained the method of Severing the Three Corpses.

  • After nearly a thousand years, Laozi severed a corpse with an Innate Spirit Treasure and reached the Quasi-Sage realm.
  • Yuanshi and Tongtian followed Laozi, severing corpses and reaching the Quasi-Sage realm as the mighty figures watched enviously.

Ch. 24Hongjun Took Disciples

During Hongjun’s final lecture, cultivators severed corpses and advanced to the Quasi-Sage realm before he ended the lesson and took disciples. He bestowed powerful spirit treasures on his new disciples, then turned his attention to Eastern King Duke and Western Queen Mother.

  • Houtu explained that the Three Purities had advanced by severing corpses, while the Ancestral Witches could continue growing by integrating the Great Dao into their bodies.
  • Nüwa, Jieyin, Zhunti, and other cultivators hesitated or severed corpses according to the spirit treasures they possessed, while Dijun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi eventually severed their malevolent corpses.

  • Hongjun appointed Eastern King Duke and Western Queen Mother to lead the male and female unaffiliated immortals, granting them treasures and three immortal islands.
  • Hongjun released innate spirit treasures in the Treasure Distribution Rock, and the Twelve Ancestral Witches and other Quasi-Sages rushed to claim them.
  • Kunpeng and the Daluo who had begged Hongjun arrived late and found few or no treasures.
  • Hongjun announced that his third lecture, ten thousand years later, would impart the Dao of the Sages.
  • Gonggong and Houtu brought Ao Changsheng more than a hundred spirit treasures and spirit roots as thanks for his guidance.
  • Ao Changsheng accepted the gifts and realized Gonggong and Houtu credited him with helping Gonggong reach the Quasi-Sage realm.
