What Lin Yunji did not know was that, while he was in seclusion, Lady Nüwa often thought of him and would lose herself in thought for a long time.

Sometimes she strolled beneath the moonlight, gazing up at the night sky and sighing softly. At other times, she leaned against a railing and stared absently at the horizon.

They were none other than Xihe and Changxi.
