Jiang He chose a new underworld deck from the system shop and prepared for the Shadow Riders, while Alexis Rhodes visited his cabin because she worried about him. The chapter left Alexis staying overnight in Jiang He’s guest room.

• Chancellor Sheppard assigned the Spirit Keys to Jiang He and five other guardians after Professor Banner withdrew.

• Jiang He warned Alexis that the Shadow Riders might be connected to her missing brother before a dark field transported them to a volcanic arena.
• Jiang He and Alexis found Jaden Yuki, Syrus Truesdale, and Chumley trapped in a sphere above a lava lake.

The dragon specialist’s effects crippled Dark Atticus’s remaining dragon and raised Buster Blader’s attack to 7800, leaving Dark Atticus facing a devastating counterattack.

• Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon’s fire reduced Jiang He’s Life Points from 4000 to 2400, but the glowing Dragon Head Mark appeared and Jiang He emerged unharmed.

Jiang He defeated Dark Atticus in the Shadow Duel, and the group was transported back near the volcano. There, Alexis Rhodes discovered that the unconscious Dark Duelist was her missing brother, Atticus Rhodes, while a dark mask card held the evil power that had controlled him.

• Jiang He explained that Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman had gained strength from the Dragon monsters and defeated Dark Atticus, reducing his Life Points to zero.

• Jiang He said defeating Camula in a Shadow Duel should free Professor Crowler, and he decided to challenge her himself rather than let Jaden or Zane take the opportunity.
