Crossover: In Little Garden, Becoming a God Through Once Proven, Forever Proven
White Night Yaksha clapped her hands, and a certificate of outer gate authority appeared before Qin Qi. "This is yours now."
Qin Qi reached out and caught it. Written on it were the rights a Floor Master possessed.
1. He could change the exterior decorations and hang up his own flag to advertise his community.
2. He could use the [Boundary Gate] for free.
3. He could receive eighty percent of the fees for using the Boundary Gates within the outer gate he ruled.
"Thanks, griffin."
Qin Qi put the certificate away, then looked at the griffin and gave him a thumbs-up.
"You're welcome. You earned it."
The griffin didn't know what Qin Qi's gesture meant, but he copied him and raised a claw anyway.
"Come find me at my shop when you have time. I'll have someone prepare a feast for you."
Qin Qi's network of contacts had expanded again. If he ever did business with the griffin clan, he could ask the griffin for help.
"I'll come, partner."
The griffin accepted Qin Qi's invitation and acknowledged him as a partner.
"Oh, right, Black Rabbit. I sent Leticia to find you earlier. I wanted to tell you to take the unicorn masks to the forest market and sell them."
Qin Qi suddenly remembered something and turned to Black Rabbit.
"Boo-hoo-hoo, I was just dealing with that when I suddenly got called over here."
Black Rabbit immediately began to weep and complain. She had almost finished taking care of it when she was suddenly called over.
"Clap, clap."
White Night Yaksha clapped her hands, and the next moment, they were back in her shop.
"Well, you're fast. Why don't you make another trip?"
Qin Qi thought for a moment, then reached out and patted Black Rabbit on the shoulder.
"Boo-hoo-hoo."
Black Rabbit nodded tearfully. There was nothing else she could do now. She said goodbye to Qin Qi and White Night Yaksha, then hurried off.
The people over there were still waiting for her to interpret, so she had to get back quickly.
Soon, only Qin Qi and White Night Yaksha were left in the room.
"Now that you've obtained the certificate of outer gate authority, what do you plan to do next? Oh, right, you should know about the North Side's Fire Dragon by now, shouldn't you?"
White Night Yaksha asked.
"I do. I've decided to do nothing next. I'll wait, and patiently wait for what happens next."
Qin Qi had done pretty much everything he could for now. The next step was to wait for the right moment. After chatting for a little longer, he returned to his shop.
When no one disturbed him, he continued to cultivate Magnetic Field Rotation. After the pressure of this trial,
his physical strength and magnetic field strength had increased again.
Seven days passed in the blink of an eye. During that time, the unicorn masks and holy water masks Qin Qi made sold very well.
While making a huge profit, he also bought up a large number of handicrafts in preparation for future business opportunities. Meanwhile, the vampires he had sent out had taken over many outer gates.
At eight in the morning, Black Rabbit came to work as usual. As soon as she entered, she spotted a cat lying on the table directly opposite the door.
"Kitty, kitty, why are you in the shop? Did the manager pick you up, or did you sneak in?"
"Kitty, kitty, do you want something to eat?"
Black Rabbit looked at the cat she had never seen before. She approached on tiptoe, then produced a carrot from who knew where.
She tentatively held it out to the cat.
"Meow."
The cat was a tabby, lying on the table with his slit pupils fixed on Black Rabbit. He looked very imposing.
Rather than a cat lying down to rest, he looked more like a tiger reclining on a rock, or a lion lying in its own territory.
"Hm? What are you saying?"
Black Rabbit tilted her head. She hadn't understood what that meow meant, even though she could understand most languages.
Just then, Qin Qi walked out of the inner room.
"Why are you going 'kitty, kitty' along with him? You're a rabbit, not a kitty monster."
"And what are you holding a carrot for?"
Qin Qi walked out and saw Black Rabbit holding a carrot, ready to feed the cat. He was stunned for a moment. Could cats eat carrots?
That fell outside his area of expertise.
"Mr. Manager, look, a cat got into our shop. I was calling him just now, going 'kitty, kitty,' but he ignored me."
"Actually, he didn't ignore me. He meowed once, but I couldn't understand him."
Black Rabbit hopped over to Qin Qi and told him what had just happened, casually stuffing the carrot into her own mouth as she did.
"Stop calling him 'kitty, kitty.' That's far too disrespectful. You should call him Master Li."
Qin Qi looked at the silly Black Rabbit and spoke.
"Huh? Why?"
Black Rabbit asked, her ears swaying back and forth.
"You've seen the sign outside our door, right? The person on it is me. Who do you think the cat I'm holding is?"
Qin Qi said.
"The person is you, Manager, and the cat... Huh? Don't tell me it's him!"
Black Rabbit's mouth fell open. She looked at Qin Qi, then at the cat, and spoke in surprise.
"That's right, it's him."
"When I first came to the world of Little Garden, I didn't have a single person by my side. He was someone I met. Well, a cat."
"He's been with me since before I established my community. Once I did, he became its first member."
"He's an executive among executives, a founding elder among founding elders. You're a temporary worker, and you're calling him 'kitty, kitty.' Don't you think that's terribly rude?"
Qin Qi reached out and rubbed the cat's head, and the cat began to purr.
"I'm sorry, Lord Executive. I was terribly rude."
Black Rabbit immediately pressed her palms together and apologized profusely.
The tabby raised a paw, as if to say it was of no consequence and she could rise.
"Mr. Manager, why haven't I seen Master Li before?"
Black Rabbit asked. Wasn't he the shop's mascot? Why wasn't he usually here?
"He's a tabby. Have you ever seen a tabby that would stay put at home? He spends most of his time wandering around outside on his own."
"Once in a while, he remembers I'm still at home, so he brings something back and checks whether I'm dead."
"Once he's sure I'm fine, he leaves again to roam the jianghu."
"Oh, right, Black Rabbit, I have something to do and need to go out. I'll leave the shop to you for today. If anyone comes looking for me, just write down who they are."
As Qin Qi spoke, he picked up the tabby. He had received a letter earlier. Although he hadn't opened it yet, he already had a rough idea of what it said.
"Yes, Manager. I'll take good care of the shop."
Black Rabbit immediately felt that her responsibilities had become more important. She, Black Rabbit, was now the acting manager!
Chapter 37: Traveling frog? No, traveling kitty!
After Qin Qi left the shop, he happened to run into White Night Yaksha, who was also coming out of her shop.
"Did you get a letter too?"
White Night Yaksha was also holding a letter, and the emblem on it was likewise a Fire Dragon. She asked him the question.
"I did. I haven't read it yet, but I'm guessing it's news of the current Fire Dragon's death, inviting us to the funeral."
Qin Qi hadn't opened the envelope yet, but he figured he could guess what was inside.
"That's right. Come on, I'll take you along."
White Night Yaksha nodded and invited Qin Qi into her shop. She clapped her hands, and when they walked back out, the scenery outside had changed.
They had arrived at the boundary wall where the East Side and North Side met. They would have to walk the rest of the way themselves.
On the way, they saw many famous community leaders from the North Side, as well as famous leaders from other communities.
When they arrived at the Fire Dragon community, a young girl named Sandora received them.
Sandora greeted the community leaders one by one, but most of them treated him perfunctorily.
They seemed to look down on the little girl, even though they knew she might become the future Fire Dragon and Floor Master of the North Side.
They had come to the funeral now merely to give the Fire Dragon one last show of respect. Once the funeral ended, the fighting would begin.
It was hard to say who would survive in the end.
"Princess Sandora Dortlake, greetings."
When Sandora reached Qin Qi, he gave her a very polite smile and spoke in a gentle voice.
"Mr. Qin Qi of the East Side, thank you for selling us the unicorn masks. Thanks to them, we were able to contain the plague effectively."
Sandora knew Qin Qi and was very grateful to him, especially because he had chosen to accept handicrafts of equal value instead of gold coins issued by Thousand Eyes.
That had truly been a great help to their community.
"You're welcome. Our East Side is the region that wishes for peace the most, and the one that least likes to see fighting."
"Unfortunately, my strength is slight, so this was all I could do."
Qin Qi spoke very politely.
"Thank you for your kindness."
Sandora looked at Qin Qi, then at the cat in his arms. She felt that the big brother before her was very gentle and seemed like a good person.
She then turned to White Night Yaksha and exchanged the same pleasantries.
At that moment, people elsewhere also began to talk in low voices.
"White Night Yaksha of the East Side came with that kid who's risen to prominence in recent years. Rumor has it they're close, and it looks like it's true."
"They both seem to have a pretty good attitude toward Sandora. Could they be planning to support her as the next Fire Dragon?"
"In that case, they might become our enemies someday."
"You're worrying too much, worrying too much. The East Side never takes part in conflicts. That goes for White Night Yaksha and that up-and-coming kid alike."
"They're polite to everyone. Whoever becomes the Fire Dragon in the end, it's all the same to them."
Some people began to feel hostile toward Qin Qi and White Night Yaksha, but that hostility gradually faded as they talked. The East Side had a good reputation, after all.
Of the four major regions, the East Side was the most peaceful. It had the fewest problems and rarely took part in the turmoil in the other regions.
For the rest of the proceedings, everyone harbored their own thoughts as they saw the previous Dragon King off on his final journey.
Once that was done, it was time to announce the main business.
"My father declared that my younger sister Sandora would inherit the title of Fire Dragon, become the leader of the community, and become the new ruler of the North Side."
"The succession ceremony will be held in a few months. We hope everyone will attend the Fire Dragon Birth Festival Celebration when the time comes."
Sandora's elder brother, Mandora, made the announcement.
