Background

Qin Qi first transmigrated as a baby and lived peacefully for eighteen years. On his eighteenth birthday, he picked up an envelope and was transported to Little Garden. His system granted Once Proven, Forever Proven, but remained stuck loading for the next three or four years 1.

During that delay, he built a supply business serving shops on Little Garden’s seventh level. He joined Thousand Eyes and made his shop one of its affiliated businesses before gaining access to the system’s simulations 1.

He preferred cultivated strength to purchased personal Gifts, which he considered less reliable than power belonging to himself. His early training therefore focused on developing Hamon into a system capable of surviving Little Garden’s much stronger opponents 2 3.

Personality

Qin Qi combines a courteous public manner with an explicitly commercial outlook. He looks for profit in medicine, water, transport routes, manufactured goods, and political instability. Rather than entering the North Side’s unrest directly, he prepares to benefit from disrupted supplies and rising demand 15 17 21 25.

Credibility and voluntary cooperation matter to him. He pays the unicorn for work instead of exploiting an earlier game contract, honors his promise to create a suitable habitat, and refuses the Old Celestial Master’s invitation to change sects because accepting the Three-One Sect’s teachings also means accepting its responsibilities 13 25 34.

He values survival over pride. His interest in Threefold Reversal begins with its defensive potential, and he surrenders a contest rather than let a fellow Community member die for an empty victory. In actual combat, however, he rejects sporting restraints and willingly uses concealed attacks or an opponent’s conversation to secure an advantage 7 22 28.

His gentleness does not prevent coercion or violence. He supports Ma Xianhong’s search for his family and helps Biyou Village’s residents find work, but cripples villagers who attack him and intimidates Bai Shixue into conceding defeat 42 43 44 48.
