History

Early foundations

In its earlier era, the Eternal Immortal Frontier was geographically insignificant beside the Four Extremes Immortal Soil, described as no more than a palm-sized patch on its map. Its inhabitants nevertheless spent hundreds of thousands of years reclaiming wasteland, gathering heavenly materials, and seeking the future direction of the immortal path. 1862 2003

Its long-standing objective was to establish an enduring homeland for Immortal Realm natives: expand their advantages, fortify the ancestral land against future upheavals, and continually explore beyond known territory. The project was explicitly framed as a plan to secure its foundations, heritage, and Dao lineages for ten thousand ages. 1931 1978

After a thousand-year war, its allied forces returned to their ancestral lands. Rather than celebrate, many immortals immediately dispersed to settle unfinished affairs and maintain defensive contingencies against invasion. 1931

Transformation into a travelling borderland

Ji Yan announced that the Frontier's unified direction was not permanent settlement: wherever it temporarily stopped would become wilderness to reclaim, after which it would depart. Its people could spar with local powers, establish cooperation, or recruit disciples, but the Frontier itself would continue onward. 1979

The decision to relocate the entire land depended on the past laws obtained from the Six Harmonies Immortal Territory; without them, moving such a vast territory would have been impossible even over myriad years. 1980

During the ensuing reconstruction, the Immortal Ancient Forbidden Ground stabilized its foundations, the Star Remains Great Wall linked with the Eternal Heavenly Star Orbit, and the first great Immortal Qi Tide began. 1989

NanGong HeLing later introduced the Origin of the Past Great Dao, while the Zhou Tian Star Orbit encircled the borderland. The Frontier ultimately tore free from the Immortal Realm Earth Frontier and rose into flight, despite the immense resistance of its earth veins. 1998 2002

The Immortal Realm Cataclysm and disappearance

The Frontier's transformation coincided with a realm-wide Natural Disaster Tribulation. Outsiders widely believed it had triggered the calamity to settle accounts with the Immortal Realm, though its actual purpose remained unknown and unprovable. 2005

After the cataclysm, Nanhua searched the former territory for a thousand years, visiting the Heavenly Mountain, Shui Mo Mountain Range, and surrounding regions. He found neither the Frontier, its cities, nor even its disciples, leading much of the Four Extremes Immortal Soil and Six Harmonies Immortal Territory to assume it had been destroyed. 2032

The assumption was false. The Eternal Immortal Frontier had continued travelling and reclaiming resources beyond the sight of those regions. 2006 2013

Cosmic Sea expansion and Eternal Antiquity

The Frontier harvested enormous quantities of mineral veins, Immortal Spirit Stone deposits, Domain Immortal Trees, and other resources while crossing the Void Sea. It developed mining puppets, including the first-generation mining immortal puppet, Qiong Gang, and eventually exhausted the Immortal Spirit Continent's usable resources. 2006 2011

It adopted an Eternal Life Level Ascension Plan that treated refinement of rules, Dao bodies, and life origins as fundamental cultivation rather than privileges reserved for peerless prodigies. 2012

After reclaiming desolate regions of the Cosmic Sea, it forged the Four Heavens Star Gates across the Three Thousand Star Abyss. These gates linked the void, stabilized unstable heaven-and-earth rules, and later served as routes toward other immortal realms. 2057 2096

By the time it entered the Heavenly Frontier, the Frontier had become sufficiently secretive that it could vanish entirely from observation. Big Black Ox's Heaven Sealing Earth Locking formation later severed the Heaven Realm from outside investigation. 2101 2110

Later voyages

The Eternal Immortal Frontier continued studying creation, immortal soil, life substances, and the principles behind heavenly materials and earthly treasures. Its aim shifted from merely extracting resources to refining laws and raising its own heaven and earth toward parity with the Immortal Realm. 2078 2310 2360

It travelled through the Immortal Realm for tens of millions of years, encountered numerous wandering civilizations, and eventually regarded the Three Thousand Immortal Territories as only one limited part of a far larger world. 2326

In its later era, it began quietly recalling its people from across the Immortal Realm before completely sealing itself away. Its disappearance produced numerous legends: ascension beyond the Immortal Realm, transformation into an independent realm, or emergence as a Longevity Realm. 2412

Physical Manifestation

The Eternal Immortal Frontier is a colossal travelling landmass rather than a conventional sect or race. When it appeared in the Boundless Immortal Domain, it stretched across distant star seas; wreckage from fallen star rivers lined its borders, while its mountain ranges resembled world barriers and each mountain manifested as a complete projection of heaven and earth. 2214

  • Its internal landscape contains Immortal Mountains, ancient forests, seas, cities, grotto-heavens, and major immortal domains integrated into a single environment. 2003 2013
  • The black-and-white sapling that emerged from its depths supported the continent during its ascent. 2003
  • Serenity is regarded as its auspicious beast and guiding star. 1989 1990
  • In its later state, it became suffused with auspicious light and drifting immortal energy, serving as a natural habitat for immortal and auspicious beasts. 2412

Capabilities & Infrastructure

Mobility and concealment

The Frontier can relocate an entire immortal borderland, traverse the Void Sea and Cosmic Sea, and continue its journey toward distant reaches of the Immortal Realm. 1979 2006 2096

  • The Zhou Tian Star Orbit encircles the borderland with revolving star regions. 1998
  • Its ascent required suppressing the qi of the Immortal Realm Earth Frontier's earth veins. 2002
  • Once its gates are shut, even its aura cannot escape; it appears to have transcended the Immortal Realm's perception. 2096
  • Complete Heaven Sealing Earth Locking later prevented external powers from investigating the Heaven Realm. 2110

Reclamation, mining, and creation

The Frontier is highly specialized in extracting and processing Immortal Dao resources on a civilizational scale. 2006 2013

  • It relocated over a million Domain Immortal Trees in three years during its Void Sea operations. 2006
  • It mined the Immortal Spirit Stone Continent until its spirit and immortal veins were absorbed into the Frontier. 2011
  • Mining operations employ Dao Integration and Great Ascension puppets, as well as specialized artifacts and Dao boats. 2009 2289
  • Its later Creation Plan sought to directly create Immortal Spirit Stone mines, immortal veins, and other resources through control of immortal qi and heaven-and-earth rules. 2078

Past laws and life systems

Possession of the Origin of the Past Great Dao gives Eternal Cultivators access to Past Selves and Past Dao Arts as standard fields of study. 1998 2082

  • The “Star Burial Theory” holds that traces of elders' divine souls remain beyond the heavens and travel with the Frontier. 1999
  • The Heavenly Secrets Dao Palace developed a Dao Rune method allowing cultivators to live a “Second Life.” 2096
  • Life-origin reforging strengthened inhabitants' foundations and enabled revivals of numerous powerful figures. 2101 2115
  • Its cultivation plans pursue rule refinement, bodies immune to laws, and the Rule Saint Body. 2012

Star Pivot and Four Heavens Star Gates

The Star Pivot distributes information, enables trade, and supports the Frontier's coordination across distant regions. 2003 2104

  • The Four Heavens Star Gates connect realms through cross-realm Taiji Array Diagrams and routes prepared from past origins. 2096
  • The gates can serve as routes for recruitment, trade, military response, and inter-realm exploration. 2096 2281
  • The East Heaven Star Gate was completed using Early Sun Divine Copper and Heavenly Foundation Stone. 2082 2084

Defense and Military

The Eternal Immortal Frontier maintains extensive pre-arranged contingencies and regards attacks on its inhabitants as attacks on the foundation of the entire borderland. 1931 1963

  • The Qian Yuan Three Thousand Military Court, Baili Clan, and Heavenly Battle have served as powerful migration and vanguard forces. 2003
  • Its nine grand Immortal Bridges can descend across the Three Thousand Immortal Territories, connecting ancient and modern eras. 2283
  • Eternal experts easily broke formations and destroyed immortal artifacts during the Annihilate the Dao War. 2282 2283
  • Baili Jing, acting as a guardian, defeated the Nether River Ancient Saint and cleaved him into a lower realm after he attempted to force entry. 2102 2103
  • The Four Heavens Star Gates became both transportation infrastructure and defensive barriers; their completion rendered the Frontier effectively impregnable. 2096

Society and Policies

The Frontier's major Dao lineages retain their own plans and territories, provided their overall direction remains aligned with Eternity. 2030

  • It emphasizes secure ancestral lands, regulated access to cave abodes, and long-term inheritance for its inhabitants. 2020
  • Its rules are strictly enforced; untrustworthy individuals may be sent to the Nine Heavens Immortal Alliance's Immortal Prison for “further study.” 1988
  • Outsiders may be returned rather than punished when they have not violated its regulations. 1983
  • The Fate Clan was permitted to settle on a star-continent, but forbidden from mining any Frontier resource beyond it—not even grass or trees. 2153
  • New arrivals are extensively monitored, including records of each cultivator's severed Great Dao Chains; immortals receive no customary exemption. 2153
  • The Frontier is generous toward its own people but increasingly wary of outsiders, especially in matters involving resources and security. 2078
